This was one of the least sanitary rentals we have ever stayed in for the price, with an unusable bedroom, pervasive hair and odor, and a host who was completely unresponsive. One bedroom was completely unusable due to heavy animal and human hair, stained bedding, and a strong odor. Shortly after arrival, the connected bathroom became clogged, which we had to fix ourselves. Hair was on all three shower walls, and the kitchen bathroom had a small toilet seat, making it uncomfortable to use. Other bedrooms were fair but still had hair and stained bedding. We arrived at 12:30 a.m. to minimal supplies and watered-down hand soap. Communication with the host was a major concern. We did not receive check-in info, and when asked, the host would not resend or clarify the email that it was sent from. The hot tub was unusable due to cold water, and the host never responded re: instructions on how to turn it on. The pool company arrived while we were two miles away at the beach and needing access to the pool; when we returned, they were gone, and the host remained unresponsive. Outdoor areas also needed attention. Patio furniture smelled of cigarettes, and cigarette butts were around the pool and lawn. We do not recommend this rental and will stay elsewhere in the future. Based on the severe cleanliness issues and lack of host responsiveness, we rate this stay 1 out of 5 stars.
