In der Nähe des Hauses befindet sich ein Reservat von Flamingos und die Ruinen von Xcambo. Progreso, Chicxulub und Telchac sind nur 15 km vom Haus entfernt. Dort finden Sie auch Supermärkte, Kirchen, Wäschereien und Restaurants.

Die Landeshauptstadt Merida ist eine wunderschöne Kolonialstadt, die 40 Minuten vom Haus entfernt liegt. Darin befinden sich Theater, Museen und eine wunderbare Symphonie, in der an allen Wochenenden Konzerte stattfinden. Leckere Restaurants und alle Serviceleistungen einer Großstadt.

Es gibt auch Golfplätze, Cenoten und schöne Haciendas 30 Minuten vom Haus entfernt.

Fantastic beach getaway location

We enjoyed our 2017 stay at BEROCO so much we came back for another week this December. The location is ideal for us - it is directly on a quiet beach, yet close to small towns and the stores and restaurants of Progreso. Merida is just an hour away for those who want a bigger city. Day trips to Mayan ruins are easy. The house felt spacious for our family of five adults. Bedrooms are large and comfortable. We had reliable Wi-Fi and Skye TV for those who want to stay connected. The caretaker Juan answered our questions within minutes. Georgina, our host, met us at BEROCO and was very approachable. She has made some upgrades in the last year. A kayak is available, although we didn't use it. There is a new guide to the area that Georgina has put together, some new small appliances in the kitchen and a charcoal grill. The outdoor living space is great for those who want to sunbathe or just watch the sea. The gulf water is warm and calm enough on most days for good swimming. BEROCO again provided us just the beach getaway we wanted.

Couldn’t get any better the this!!

We had a wonderful 3 week stay at Beroco beach house. The house has everything you’d need for a comfortable stay. Of course the highlight of the house is the great location with beach and ocean at your doorstep.The beach extends for miles and miles from either end of the beach house. The days were hot but there were always prevailing winds to cool things down especially under the canopy of the house. We were a couple with visiting friends from Kansas City and Vancouver. You’ll need a car as the location of the house is 20 km to the closest town. Most of our groceries were bought in Progreso the biggest of the 3 towns along this spit of land. Merida is a 45 minute drive and definitely worth exploring but would recommend going early in the morning to beat the heat. Lots of good restaurants,culture and historic sites. Many of Mayan ruins, Dzibilchaltun and Xcambó,are within an hours drive from the beach house but there are also Uxmal and Chichen Itza the 2 bigger Mayan ruins. The Yucatan has much to explore with many historic towns around Merida. Our host Georgina was great in accommodating our requests and even helped us communicate with the airport in Merida when our luggage was lost.Beds were comfortable and the house is equipped with everything one would need. She provided us with extra beach chairs,umbrella and BBQ as we requested. A couple of suggestions to the owner would be to get some better lighting.Lamps for the bedroom nightstands and lamps for the living room would definitely add ambience for at night, a couple more loungers by the pool and more comfortable seating for outside even without these minor comforts our stay at the beach house was a memorable experience! We would recommend Beroco to anyone and would definitely stay at Beroco again!!

Beautiful home, next to the ocean

The home is exactly as described, extremely clean and comfortable, everything worked well. The owner is very helpful; she made sure that we were satisfied. She provided us with enough drinkable water for our stay, coffee, all the towels and linen we needed. I would rent from her again. Open the back doors and you’re right on the ocean; in the upstairs bedrooms we were sleeping with the blinds open because that view is just amazing, and that’s why we rented here.

Very enjoyable stay

We recently visited Beroco Beach House and had a great time! Having a waterfront beach house is a treat and we swam in the ocean every day. A few points to note: - house was exactly as listed, no surprises - beds were comfortable - air conditioning worked well - kayak, life jackets and a boogie board were there for our use - a lot of seaweed on the beach, but it didn't get in our way - 2 jugs of water was not enough for our family of four for 7 nights...we bought a lot of additional water - pool is quite small, which seems common in.the area (probably due to the beautiful gulf waters) - shells galore! - Georgina was very quick in her responses when we needed assistance Thanks for a fantastic vacation!!!

Best rental in Yucatán!

We cannot recommend this place enough! We arrived a day later than planned because we flew in to Mérida very late and we communicated with the property manager so easily. Upon arriving the next morning, we didn’t reach out until we had pulled in the drive way and they met us very quickly with the keys and a run down. This property is GORGEOUS! We were blown away at how much they had available for us to use during our stay. We brought our own beach towels because we have needed to with past rentals but they had plenty of towels and sheets available for us! We planned on cooking almost all of our meals so we thought we would need to purchase a few items to be able to cook, but they had all the cooking utensils, plates, silverware, etc to meet our needs! There was also plenty of bottled water, paper towels and toilet paper for us as well. As a family of 5 we are used to having to purchase items to last us on our vacation so this was such a nice surprise! The location is amazing. Being right on the beach, we spotted dolphins and crabs as we had breakfast on the back porch and the beach has plenty of shells for you to enjoy! Our 3 kids loved this and the pool! You are a few minutes drive (toward Telchac Puerto) from seeing the brightest flamingos. We pulled over near the pink salt flats and watched them several times during our stay. The drive in to Progreso was about a 20 min drive.. we went to the grocery store there to buy the food we needed and we also ate dinner a few times over by the pier. Mérida was a 45-60 min drive and we did get some things at Wal-Mart as we came back from other outings. We did hand wash some our clothes for our 9 day stay but we went in to this trip knowing we would need to do that so it didn’t bother us. We look forward to coming back!

House is great. Perfect for a couples with kids.

Everything was awesome , the only issue is the beach: beach needs to be clean out . Lots of garbage on the beach.

There really is a lot of seaweed to the beach along the coast due to the bad weather that there was the weekend, for many years that did not happen. Now we are all owners of the house cleaned to have again our beautiful and wide clean beach. regards Georgina

Great beach access, pool, nice and private.

We were looking for a home with good beach access, that was nice and private, with a pool overlooking the beach. The home was well maintained, with a good location. The home met everything we were asking for. We would definitely stay there again.

Yucatán Beach Getaway

Our family of five adults stayed for one week at BEROCO Beach House. The house is spacious with a large outdoor patio by the beach. We found everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The caretaker was available if we needed any help. We would definitely recommend this house and our host for anyone wanting a winter getaway.

Simply perfect!

We spent 10 days at Beroco house an it was simply perfect. We were 2 families with 4 kids between 8 months and 4 years old. The house is well maintained and has everything to accomodate your stay. Georgina (the owner) even accomated us with a crib for our little one. The neighbourhood is very secure and quiet; we had a private beach for ourselves. Within an hour of drive there are Mayan ruins, amazing Cenotes and small typical Mexican villages. There is a big grocery store close by where you'll find everything you need and if you're lucky a guy named Roberto will pass by with sea food!!! So, Beroco is a very good place if you're looking for peaceful and quiet vacations. We'll go back for sure!! Pierre D, Montréal, Canada

A week in Beroco

Amazing house, easy to find and with its own stretch of beach (very private and perfect for collecting shells). Location is great, less than 15 mins drive from Progreso and around half an hour from Merida. Lots of Mayan ruins within an hour drive. December can get a bit windy and the sea can be muddy and rough, but during our stay there were days when the water was calm and inviting. The house was clean, airy and overall better than we expected from the pictures. The owner and caretakers were extremely friendly and helpful; just ask if you need something. We had a great time.
