The home itself is beautiful and the views are incredible. Unfortunately, the condition of the property did not match the premium nightly rate. We found dust accumulation under beds and furniture, dusty floors throughout the first-floor common area that required us to mop ourselves, mineral buildup on kitchen accessories, wet towels stored in the linen closet, and areas of the bathrooms that appeared overdue for deep cleaning.Several maintenance items also needed attention, including a broken screen door, 2 grill burners that would not light, a low-battery smoke detector in the game room that chirped throughout our stay, and a bathroom lock that did not work properly downstairs. The fire pit area was also not maintained in a way that made it readily usable or enjoyable for guests.We also found basic guest supplies lacking, including replacement paper towels and two bathrooms used dish soap for handsoap and the half bathroom had no soap. When we attempted to wash the wet towels, the washer would not operate normally and required us to run a cleaning cycle before it could be used, delaying our ability to do laundry by 2 hours.The property has tremendous potential, but the housekeeping and maintenance standards need improvement to justify the high price point. Overall, the property itself and the views were excellent, but better housekeeping, maintenance, and attention to guest amenities would significantly improve the experience.
