PICCOLA HOUSE •
Part of The WILD PINES at Lake Glenville Collection
A private mountain compound nestled 3,543 ft above Lake Glenville.
We are so pleased to introduce you to Wild Pines at Lake Glenville's PICCOLA HOUSE (TH1), your bucket list escape. Tucked in the Appalachian Mountains, part of the ancient Great Smoky range—one of the oldest mountain chains in the world and perched above Lake Glenville (N 35° 11’ 27.478” / W 83° 10’ 45.321”), this designer luxury tiny home combines modern comforts with rugged mountain charm.
More than 30 years ago, our family discovered a little slice of heaven in the mountains of Western North Carolina and built Belle Viste, a generational home with spectacular views of both Lake Glenville and the peaks and pastoral fields. When the adjacent land became available, we knew it was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to share this magical landscape and Wild Pines at Lake Glenville was born — two tiny gems: Piccola House (“little” in Italian) and Volare Blue (“to fly, to explore, to soar”). We hope these tiny homes inspire you to push the limits of your comfort zone while indulging in luxurious mountain living and reconnecting with the great outdoors.
An artful gate opens to your private stretch of wild-pines-lined drive. The path up is rustic, the tiny house a surprise. Piccola House is designed as the ultimate base camp for mountain and lake adventures. Enjoy waterfall hikes, kayaking and fishing on Lake Glenville, or explore charming towns like Cashiers, Highlands, and Sylva. After a day of exploration, return to your private decks, fenced dog yard, outdoor firepit, Polywood rocking chairs, and Tentsile tree tent.
Outdoors, luxury meets whimsy: atop the roof, a copper hummingbird weathervane glints in the sun. The hummingbird—tiny, graceful, and full of life—symbolizing joy in small things and beauty in motion. Its wings catch the wind as you unwind by the fire pit, play cornhole, or watch the night sky bloom into inky black velvet glittering with the brightest stars. (You might get lucky and see a shooting star, be sure to make a wish!)

PICCOLA HOUSE is THE actual Denali tiny house that started it all for Timbercraft. An original home in the tiny house movement that was raved about and featured in the press. We have taken this first of its kind showstopper and run with it. We've worked tirelessly to curate it for you and we truly hope you enjoy it!
We tried to include many thoughtful touches like a s’mores kit, locally baked dog cookies, mini olive oil & vinegar bottles, spices, paper towels, and firewood bundles. Every detail is designed to make your stay effortless, indulgent, and unforgettable.
PICCOLA HOUSE is perfect for couples, dreamers, dog lovers, and nature buffs of all ilks.
Maximum 2 adults (with exceptions); we have rolled up a twin floor mattress and stored it in one of the deep drawers under the bed and it can be taken out and unrolled and put on the living room floor in front of the couch to accommodate an older child, adult, or temporary overflow, it is surprisingly comfortable. The sheets, pillow, and blanket are in the drawer next to the mattress.
Please be aware that we designed these tiny homes with privacy in mind but our second tiny home, Volare Blue, is about 75–100 ft away with a shed in between. You may see neighbors, you can also book a Privacy Stay, or if you want to share adventures with additional family or friends booking both houses together allows for full property privacy. Whatever booking arrangements you make we think you'll love the space.
Please do stay in touch, we have a whole host of amazing and unexpected additions and amenities coming.
This is Western North Carolina at its most magical: vibrant fall foliage, cascading waterfalls, near Cherokee National Forest and Great Smoky Mountain National Park where elk roam, and close to natural gem mining, within a few hours of the only public emerald mine in the US and likely the only source of hiddenite minerals. Surrounded by nature you are also in one of America’s rare temperate rainforests. It’s a bucket list adventure — a place to reconnect, relax, and make memories that last a lifetime.
Book your stay at PICCOLA HOUSE today and experience nature, elevated — a luxurious tiny house retreat where the mountains, lake, and sky converge in unforgettable beauty.
