We’re very sorry to learn about the issues you experienced during your stay at the Topsail house, including the exterior condition, dirty rugs, worn furniture, uncomfortable kitchen chairs, saggy master mattress, old flooring, mismatched dining chairs, stained ceilings, cobwebs, and the dock erosion concerns. We also understand how uncomfortable it must have been with the A/C set on energy-saving mode during the heat wave, along with the dirty air filters and the upstairs being hotter. To clarify, the energy-saving feature you mentioned, known as Rush Hour Rewards, is controlled by the utility company and not the homeowner. However, this setting can be manually overridden to ensure guest comfort. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We want to note that during your stay, only the thermostat issue was reported to our team, so our local staff was able to respond quickly to that concern. We encourage guests to reach out during their stay so we can address any issues promptly and help make their experience as comfortable as possible. Please know that we're not local to the home, we rely on our property manager and their teams to take care of guests’ issues and to effectively assist guests, we have local management, housekeeping, and maintenance teams who work together to resolve issues in the home as promptly and effectively as possible. We feel it is important to note that all of our homes are set to the most reasonable and highest occupancy, and we take seriously the rental agreement and our Good Neighbor policy. Our homes have a maximum occupancy that is set by the local fire marshal based on how many guests can safely occupy the home regardless of whether they spend the night or not or bed count. We are disappointed to learn that this negatively impacted your stay.
