New in our program, this home has many great reviews from past guests.

Say hello to this beautiful Island hideaway. Relax and kick back in The Sand Jewel, an updated, well-maintained, 3,800-square-foot oceanfront home in exclusive Kinnakeet Shores.

The ground level has concrete parking with three carports, a fish-cleaning station, an outdoor shower, a new basketball hoop, and a beach boardwalk. The first level has a furnished game room with a refinished pool table, a foosball table, and an entertainment center.

On the second level, enjoy oceanfront views from two bedrooms with private access to the sizeable furnished wraparound with a porch swing. Two primary bedrooms also have deck access, including one with a private bathroom with a roll-in shower, grab bars, and a roll-up vanity. You'll want to unwind in the sunken hot tub just outside these rooms on the covered deck. The laundry area has a convenient washer/dryer.

As you reach the third level, enjoy the great room with vaulted ceilings, a half-bath, a wet bar with a new under-counter fridge, and miles of oceanfront glass. This spacious room features upscale furnishings, tile, and updated beach decor, highlighting the living and entertainment area loaded with a digital widescreen TV for everyone to enjoy. The well-equipped kitchen has stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops and glass backsplash, a large bar, and a captivating oceanfront dining area. The third main bedroom features a Jacuzzi tub.

Melt in the wide 10-foot furnished sundecks, prepare your favorite burgers, steaks, and seafood on the new gas grill, or cool down under the covered deck. The picnic table provides the perfect place to share your favorite grilled seafood or a bushel or two of crabs!

Additional interior amenities include an elevator from the ground level, beach gear, and a great collection of board games.

When you need a break from the beach, enjoy access to the Club Hatteras pool and tennis court. The Sand Jewel is the perfect place to relax with family and friends on your next Hatteras Island vacation, with close beach access, gorgeous ocean views, and plenty of amenities!

Things to Know
You will be required to sign an additional lease agreement upon making a booking which will be sent to your email. You will not be able to check-in until we have received your signature electronically. Please contact us directly if you do not receive this agreement.
The pool is open seasonally from April through the first week of October. Dates are subject to change.

The view of the ocean from the big family table is spectacular. The beach access can't be beat, with fireworks in view on the Fourth of July. Access to restaurants and groceries is excellent, and the house is spacious.

Wonderful vacation!

We enjoyed our yearly beach trip! This house is right on the beach with a public beach access on the property! The kitchen is fully stocked and we loved that toilet paper and paper towels and linens were provided! There were several mini fridges which were nice for extra drinks! Amazing views from all of the decks! We loved the gas grill! The grocery store was within walking distance and right next to Duck Donuts!

We were fishing the Cape Hatteras Anglers Club tournament, so this was our base. Good parking. Very clean. Excellent wifi. Plenty of kitchen utensils. Plenty of toilet paper, which has not been the case at houses managed by other rental companies. Maintenance very responsive to the two issues we experienced. Would recommend.

Fantastic house

This house has a great location, easy access to the beach, and it is well taken care of. The only ā€œcomplaintā€ I would have is that you have to walk around the house to use the outdoor shower when coming off the beach to clean off before coming inside. Otherwise everything was fantastic.

Ant problem throughout the house. Top floor never got above 76 degrees and had to have a window unit put in bedroom. No blinds on windows so hose stayed hotter than necessary and very bright in the morning at 5-6am. Mini fridges didnā€™t keep anything cold. Main Fridge froze many of our items. Elevator broke and had to have someone come fix it. Not enough towels and washcloths for each bedroom. No towels or scrubby in the kitchen. Beach location was great!

Good but could be much better

House was great but could have been better. Not enough towels and washcloths in bathrooms. No hand towels or scrub pads in kitchen. Ants all throughout the house. Elevator broke day one and had to have someone come fix it. A/C on top floor never got cooler than 76 degrees. No shades on the windows to keep out the heat. Had to have them put a window unit in master on top floor bc of the heat. Mini fridges were not cold at all. Location was great and beach was too. Just needs a little help with cleaning services and making sure everything works before next tenant.

Best View on OBX

Loved the house. Great space, up to date, attentive service. Elevator did not work but we were compensated for that and stayed anyway. You need the elevator :). The only downside was the lack of towels (only one per bathroom). Owner does a great job of having about everything you could want including cable tv, internet, Netflix, kitchen equipment and other services. Also a great sound system with the tv. BBQ grill and telescope look good but both are shot and no longer working. Take binoculars to watch the dolphins. Also saw a couple of whales. Would certainly stay there again!

Do not stay in a Vacasa home in (OBX)Avon, NC!!!

I hated the fact that we were told we could get into the house at 5pm when we actually were waiting until almost 7pm. I hated the fact that the property manager knew there was a problem with the freezer opening and they still took our money. I hated the fact that after multiple attempts to fix the freezer, we still had our food trapped in it more than once. I hated the fact that we had to have strangers in the house to fix it while we were trying to relax. I hated the fact that the hot tub jets didn't work very well. The location of the house was spectacular, but the shape it was in was tired. I would not recommend this house or Vacasa at all. I was told by the property manager that he would consider compensation, but of course heard nothing. You ruined my vacation!!!

Family Vacation

Kitchen was stocked well and had anything you needed. Freezer was an issue; the door would not open up. Maintenance came right away and looked at it and fixed so you could open. Everything stayed iced up and frosted over all week. It was a mess. The house did accommodate us well. There were 10 of us and everything was very comfortable. Fish cleaning table was in a weird place. you had to go through the house to get to it. No water hose available out front. Was at fish cleaning area so anything needing washed off had to be carried through the house. Its name is true It is the Sand Jewel. Sand everywhere. lol. We had to do a lot of cleaning to the floors on arrival and every day. The living room TV was the only tv you could watch. All others you had to have log in to your on Hulu, Netflix, etc.
