You’re near local favorites like Screen Door, Canard, Slow Haste, and Holman's, with easy access to countless indie boutiques, brewpubs, bakeries, and hidden gems along East Burnside, 28th, and Sandy. Walk through leafy streets, sip a craft latte, or catch a show at Revolution Hall. Whether you’re visiting for work or play, this is one of Portland’s most walkable and vibrant areas.



Getting Around:

🚶 Walking — You're in Portland's Kerns neighborhood, with the NE 28th Avenue restaurant row plus nearby cafes, shops, and Whole Foods a short walk from 925 NE 23rd Ave.



🚌 Bus — Several TriMet lines run on nearby streets, including Line 19 (Glisan/Canyon Rd) and Line 20 (Burnside/Stark), with service to downtown Portland. Check trimet.org for the best route.



🚲 Biking — BIKETOWN bike-share stations in the area. Portland's bike lanes make cycling a great option for exploring nearby neighborhoods.

Other Things to Note:

🔒 Privacy + Building Setup

There are six exterior steps to reach the studio and no interior stairs. This ground-floor studio shares a locked connecting door with the adjacent townhouse-style unit. For studio-only bookings, the door stays locked and your space is private. If you need more space, message before booking to ask whether the adjacent unit is available. Because the studio shares a wall/connector with the adjacent unit and sits under that unit's kitchen, sound from neighboring guests can carry, including voices, alarms, or footsteps. Mechanical noise from the mini-split may also be audible. Light sleepers may prefer another listing or want earplugs/white noise.



🌆 Urban Setting

The studios in this building are ground-floor and face north next to an industrial building by the freeway. Highway noise and other urban sounds can be audible at times.



🪑 Compact Setup

There is no TV. Seating is lounge chairs with a side table, so the studio works best as a simple walkable home base for exploring Portland. There is no in-unit or building laundry; a nearby laundromat is another option.

10 PM - 7 AM (house rules)



🚭 No Smoking or Vaping

Smoking and vaping are not allowed anywhere on the property, indoors or outdoors. Guests who wish to smoke or vape must leave the property completely.



Interaction with Guests:

We're available by message anytime and typically respond within minutes. We're local to Portland and happy to help with anything - from restaurant recommendations to a quick answer at midnight when you can't find something. We keep a hands-off approach unless you need us, and when you do, we're right there.
