We really enjoyed our stay. The house was more than we expected and was in the perfect location for us. It was a 5-10 minute walk to the beach and a 10 minute drive to the historic district. The host was very accommodating with our needs and our dogs. I will be definitely booking this house again in the future.

Upstairs kitchen outlets didn’t work for a couple of days. Electricians had to come out to the house to fix things. Then the WiFi went down and only partially came back up. We were instructed to find the booster routers (2 of them) but we couldn’t find anything except for the main router. We were told one would be in a yellow room….there is not yellow room. One of the beds was located in a cottage at the back of the property. Unfortunately, the room had a bunch of roaches and we couldn’t use the room or the bed. I told the host the WiFi wasn’t a big deal because I didn’t want to spend time looking for the boosters in a room that didn’t exist, and I didn’t want us to have to spend any extra time hanging around the house because we had activities planned. Overall, it was okay but a bit of a disappointment. The hosts themselves were 10/10 though. They were very responsive when I did message with a problem. I was just bummed that we had persistent problems.

Thank you for recognizing our team’s responsiveness. We’re sorry these issues disrupted your stay. The upstairs kitchen outlets required a new electrical circuit, which has since been installed. The WiFi outage originated with the provider, and we worked to restore service as quickly as we could. We also apologize for the confusing directions about the boosters. The detached structure is not advertised as a sleeping accommodation because it is not insulated. We’re concerned to hear your report of roaches there and will have it inspected. We appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention. For future guests, we do not suggest using the outdoor shack as a sleeping accommodation.

This space was perfect for what we needed. I hosted a planning retreat for a group of nonprofit directors, and it was plenty of room. The public beach access is kind of close, but the view of the beach is limited from the porch. A couple of notes: if you want to accommodate a large-ish group, it’s fantastic. Lots of room to congregate and spread out. It would not be great if you have kids and want to transport a bunch of stuff to the beach - it would probably be a bit of a pain. It looks like they are renovating the garage, which would increase the space. The host was a little slow to respond, and our request for late check out was denied at 10 AM (at the time of checkout) when it was previously ok. No place is perfect and I can look past those tiny things for the incredible space. Lots of room, nice appliances, plenty of windows to enjoy December Florida weather. The beds were incredibly comfy, and more than enough pillows (and firm ones at that!)Also - bring a large sauté pan or a griddle - the largest pan is pretty small.
