White Birch Cottage is an extraordinary, contemporary, oceanfront home on the shores of Webb Cove in scenic Stonington, Maine. Enjoy all the comforts of home while at this well-kept, privately situated home.
White Birch Cottage has four bedrooms plus a private garage efficiency unit. The home is very nicely decorated. The kitchen is spacious and very well equipped to cook most any meal at home. Custom cabinetry, granite countertops and high end appliances make this space easy to maneuver. The kitchen is open to the dining area and living room, which makes gathering for meals easy. The table has eight chairs, enough for all guests. There is overflow seating at the snack bar in the form of owl stools which the owners bought from the local Geoffrey Warner Studio here in Stonington. There are lovely views from the main living spaces. The home has a bookshelf with some rainy day literature.
White Birch Cottage has a first floor bedroom with a King Bed, views of the sea, a door to the deck with two Adirondack chairs as well as an en suite bathroom with a large walk in shower. Also on the first floor of the home is a screened in porch with ocean views, a half bathroom and a laundry closet. The second floor of the home has a workspace with a view and a desk for those who still have some work obligations while on vacation. The second bedroom on floor two has a queen bed and an en suite 3/4 bathroom, with a shower stall.
The ground floor of the home is finished with hardwood flooring , a glass door welcoming in the views of the cove. There is a spacious and very comfortably furnished media room. Also on the ground floor is a third bedroom with two twin beds and a full bathroom.
Finally, as a wonderful bonus there is a loft apartment above the garage that is included in the rental of White Birch. This space includes a queen bedroom, 3/4 bathroom and a living room with a TV. The loft is accessed through a shared doorway with the garage. There is a door and stairway on the rear wall of the garage space.
White Birch Cottage has a rugged beach with stairs down to the shore. The property has ample parking and some green spaces. A 9-foot Peter Berets flamingo is assembled in the backyard (the creator of Nelly Ville at Nervous Nellies).

Cancellations within 45 days of arrival will not result in a refund in whole or part of rental funds received. If a cancellation is made prior to 45 days of arrival, the Agent shall make a good-faith effort to re-rent the property at the published rate for the reserved rental term. No refund of rents paid will be made until the cancelled period is re-rented and confirmed. If the cancelled period is re-rented, any rent and taxes paid will be refunded less a $100 administrative fee. If the new rental amount is less than the published rate, any difference in rental rate will be deducted from the rental returned to the tenant. If the unit is not re-rented, all rental funds paid, processing fees and taxes shall be forfeited as damages.
This cancellation policy is strictly followed. Guests are encouraged to purchase travel insurance for all vacations to cover many situations that may arise which might cause one to cancel vacation plans. Life happens and we don’t want you to lose your deposit. There are many independent insurance providers available to tenants. I understand that the insurance company holds this policy and that The Island Agency does not determine eligibility of claims.
