We stayed for 10 days while visiting family and friends. Kim was fantastic, friendly, and super accommodating. Our 2 1/2 year old Wooly Husky loved the dog park located right at the end of the street. The even had two separate parks: one for large dogs and one for small dogs - complete with pools and hoses. We highly recommend staying here!

I had a wonderful time staying in this cute house. Kim is a great host and very easy going. She welcomed my dogs too. The house is literally on Arlington Park so it was very convenient to walk dogs. It's a fabulous neighborhood and convenient to great restaurants, shopping and the beach.I would highly recommend this rental.

Exactly what we needed

Our group was in Sarasota for an athletic competition. The house was perfect for us with a well-equipped kitchen for meal prep and in a quiet location that helped us get ready for the next day. Would definitely stay here again!

Great place to stay!

We stayed for the month of March 2019 and enjoyed ourselves so much we booked for 2020! Kim and her family are great to rent from...she's very close by and had no problem popping over if we had a problem (TV remote-we're challenged) it's great! BTW-if you have a dog and/or like to walk it's right next to a pretty park that's very dog/people friendly! Did I mention how centrally located it is too-it's the way to go! Thanks Kim and Rip for introducing us to another part of Sarasota-it's just lovely!

Home sweet home

My family and I had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful home for a getaway vacation. The house is charming and cozy and has everything you need down to measuring spoons! From the pool to the beds and all inside was just perfect! We had our twins “16” party there and it was great! Plenty of room for all and the large pool n yard was awesome! The owners Kim & Kip are extremely nice and right there if you need something. Definitely hope to return again! Thank you so much Kim & Kip for wonderful hospitality!

Week in Sarasota

The property is next to a local park that encourages dog walkers and we had a constant parade. Our dog was a little overwhelmed as she is an old lady, but it was delightful. There were a few glitches, but our homeowner corrected everything. We are already talking about next year.

Grateful for the pool!

Kim was very quick on responding to my emails. The pool was a hit with us. The kids got to swim while we cooked or hit ready to head to beach which was very close. We spent a lot of our time at Siesta key beach. The weather was perfect. The home had everything we needed including a high chair which came helped us out since we were driving. Kim was also very kind to let us check in early since we drove straight through from Michigan. I would highly recommend staying here.

Beware

I just finished a stay at this property over Memorial Day Weekend with some friends. The listing was accurate - had a pool, had a yard etc. Unfortunately, we couldn't utilize any of the outdoor amenities due to a horrible wasp issue. We weren't able to use the pool, which was filthy until the pool service came half way through the following day, because we were spending more time dodging and killing wasps. The pool was filthy with a skimmer full of beetles prior to this cleaning - which you would think it would be cleaned prior to a guest check-in. We couldn't use the grill outside either unless we wanted to spend time dodging wasps instead of actually cooking our food. This issue was so bad that we avoided entering in the home through the front door as much as we could because there were multiple that flew in the front door when we would open it. Inside the home, there were sinks that had hair sitting in the drain, ants and spiders in the upstairs shower, an air conditioning unit that would start randomly beeping at 3am with no rhyme or reason.

In response to our guest review we address the following. They requested early access which was cheerfully accommodated 4 hours prior to check in. The first guest to arrive contacted me about a “wasp issue “. As I am nearby I immediately arrived to find three total count wasps over a third acre of property. I sprayed suspected areas of concern and left. A short time later laughter seemed the afternoon’s demeanor. Our pool is open to the tropical backyard and is cleaned prior to guests arrival with Scheduled maintenance on Saturday. Our pool man arrived early and I asked him to check on the wasp issue. There was no wasp issue again and the guest was extremely rude to him. We have a consistent 5 star rating as we take great pride in providing a lovely experience for our guests. Our professional cleaning crew does a wonderful job and I personally inspect the home before each guests’ arrival. We suspect there were other issues besides the accommodations that were coloring our guests weekend outlook.

Fantastic House, Yard, Park!

We stayed for a week with our three grown kids and son-in-law. The house was charming and beautifully decorated. There were plenty of towels and everything you could need in the kitchen. The backyard is a little slice of heaven with the privacy fence, pool, covered patio and cool lights. The park that is immediately outside of this house is totally amazing. We walked every day and admired all of the beautiful dogs. The location between Saint Armands and siesta key could not have been better. The owner was easy to get along with and quick to respond to our few questions. Would definitely recommend and would stay again!

Nice Quiet Location

The property was located in a nice quiet neighborhood next to a park with walking trail. We stayed with friends and used all 4 bedrooms. One bedroom does only have 2 single beds. Well stocked kitchen, but for our 6 day stay the dishwasher stopped working after only 2 days and was never fixed during our stay. The next people coming in could not have had a working dishwasher for at least the first day. I feel like this could have been addressed quicker then it was. The only other disappointment was that there was dog poop in more than 4 spots in the yard from past guests that was not pleasant for laying in the sun. We did enjoy our stay and would recommend this house as our issues could easily be remedied.

While we make every attempt to accommodate our guests, sometimes for circumstances beyond our control delays occur. The servicer for the dishwasher repair was not immediately available. It was repaired that last afternoon before next guest arrival. Our apologies for the inconvenience. Lawn care maintenance was informed of the dog issue and took note. Thank you. Very nice house in great location.

House was as described. Well maintained and clean environment with modern appliances. Nicely furnished. Location was great, very private and next to a nice park. Fenced backyard for dogs to roam. Pool is not heated so limited use in cold months. Overall we would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful Home in Sarasota

There is a s such a difference when renting from a family and renting from a property company. Our rental was cared for very well and equipped better than any other home we have stayed in before. The owners replied to questions instantly and made us feel comfortable from booking to checkout. We can’t thank Kim and Rip enough for opening their home to us and for all of the extras provided. If this house is available during your travel time, we suggest you jump on it right away. We will definitely be back. Thank you!! Oh, and the waking path outside the house, that was priceless for entertaining our older guests.

Just Perfect!

This home was perfect for our family. It was clean and had everything we needed. The pool was clean. The yard was big enough for the dogs to play. And at the end of a dead end street, it was quiet. Beautiful Arlington Park next door was great as we could easily take walks, with or without the dogs. Having visited Sarasota for many years, we thought the location would be just right. And it was! We would definitely stay here again.

Comfort of home

The house is reasonably priced and big enough that we were able to split it with another family. It had all of the comforts of home. There were plenty of pillows and blankets. The kitchen was well stocked with all of the appliances, pots and pans if you choose to cook and even had some condiments and paper products. The back yard is a nice place to relax and swim with plenty of chairs and pool “toys”. We were fairly busy during our stay but took a walk around the park and pond the last morning. It’s a short 1/2 mile path but it had benches to sit on and observe the various wildlife! We passed a fair number of people during our walk but never noticed any traffic down on our street. The house sits at the end of the street just before one of the entrances to the park. It is centrally located and an easy drive to many of the local attractions, beaches etc. Overall, the house made for a carefree stay.

We really enjoyed our stay. The pool was fantastic and the location next to the park was beautiful ! The house was a comfortable place to relax with family!

Hideaway house

Truly the best getaway with the comfort of home. Kim & Rip are wonderful hosts and everything is perfect! This is our second time coming to this house and it’s just the best! Highly recommend to anyone who likes a tranquil setting that’s close to everything yet tucked away at the same time! Definitely will be back again! Thank you Kim & Rip! 😊👍🏻👍🏻❤️

I met my husband over 32 years ago in Sarasota and decided that here I would stay. Ross is a native Sarasotan who showed me the beauty of Sarasota thru catamaran sailing the Gulf waters and canoeing the Myakka and Peace River Ecoppo-systems. We have lived in this neighborhood for a combined total of 83 years and continue to call it home. We take pride in our rental property as evidenced with its amenities and comforts.

The many live-oaks on and around the property were planted by my husband and his family 60 years ago. They offer cooling shade in the summer afternoons and host to a variety of wildlife, including hawks, woodpecker varieties and songbirds. The nearby park is home to egrets, waterfowl, turtles and ibis. Evenings are perfect for a stroll with a well lit pathway and water fountain. There is a playground at the northwest corner of Arlington Park past the Olympic pool facilities that are available to the public for 4.00 per person per day.
