A tired condo with in adequate communication and concierge service..

This property seemed nice from the pictures. We know Cap Cana and the Marina well so had high expectations. However, don’t judge a book by it’s cover. The place was very tired, cabinets rotted in bathroom, broken dishwasher, old worn out furnishings, no essentials were available so we had to buy everything right down to a dish rag. The concierge Abrahan did not provide any items requested by the owner. Overall, not worth the money.

TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT

To be fair, this is a beautiful property. The check in was horrible because the unit was not ready at 3. Horrible communication between Abraham and us made us sit in the lobby for over an hour. Unit is located in a large complex with no convenience store nearby. Only one choice for a restaurant and that was a 1 mile walk. No drinking water in unit on arrival. No follow up by Abraham as promised for information on restaurants, taxi or food delivery. This person is clearly not capable of doing his job! I would never rent from this person again! DO NOT WASTE YOUR VACATION TIME AT THIS PROPERTY!!! If you are the ower of this property, fire Abraham!

Amazing!

My family and I had a very nice stay, it was our second time renting this apartment! The place is perfect for my family of 6, plenty of space for everyone and the fishing boat is right out the back door! The beaches and pools didn't disappoint this time either! We would recommend this property to anyone looking for a spacious, comfortable stay at Cap Cana! It was also a pleasant surprise that some of the restaurants and shops were open, despite the pandemic!

Paradise with just one flaw

This was one of the best holidays ever. The apartment is phantastic, exactly like in the photographs, only better. It is clean and well looked after. The beds are extremely comfortable, the lounge is gorgeous and the kitchen provides all you need. We had four days of solid rain, so the internet was important to us not only for business but also pleasure. It worked like a charm, we watched several movies with no problem whatsoever. There is a lot of staff around, so the gardens and surroundings are immaculate and very secure. The walk to the beach or pool is five minutes at the most. We do recommend a car to drive to the "center comercial" in Punta Cana for shopping, restaurants or just a coffee (a 10 - 15 minutes ride). So what is the flaw? - As one of the other guests already stated, there is more or less every day music being played on the boats directly in front of the veranda. So we never used the veranda, which was a pity because it really is large and lovely, but we did not want to listen the radio. We wanted - like most of the other guests - peace and quiet, which at times even at night was not available. On one Saturday night there was so much noise from the Tiara Hotel on the north side of the Marina that virtually everybody was up in arms about it. I don't think any of the guests could sleep. Finally the guards drove over by car to get them to turn the music (if you can call is that) down. It is a shame really because on the one hand the place is very peaceful and then it is ruined by some people playing the radio while washing the boat down or cleaning the fish, regardsless of guests in the flats nearby. Other than that we have no complaints and would recommend this place to friends and family alike. If you are not bothered by the music or can put wax in your ear, there is no better place to be. We wish to come back next year if Johnny will have us and stay again for a month.

I'm sure this property is beautiful but.....

.....we weren't able to stay in this specific rental due to water problems in the condo. Johnny was able to secure another unit which was sufficient for what we needed. On our second day, the owner of the unit, Roger, who has a boat in the marina had just come back from fishing. My husband was out on the deck area and Roger greeted him, asked how things were going and gave us one of the fish he caught. Needless to say, dinner was great. Can't get seafood any fresher than that!! The marina area is beautiful and quiet which we found great. Vacations are important to us and being able to relax and not stress the quietness of the marina was welcoming. We ate at a couple of the restaurants and the food was tasty. We visited the main lobby and the gentleman at the desk was super helpful. The pool area is pretty much empty and we were ok with that. We did a few excursions at Scape Park and had a blast! Highly recommend visiting the Hoyo Azul (Blue Hole). Absolutely beautiful and refreshing. I can't say enough about Dorys. She was super helpful. Our first week in the DR we stayed 3 hrs away from Cap Cana. On our drive back to the Punta Cana area our GPS was not working and when I reached out to her she was very responsive. Dorys met us and took us to the condo. During our stay we had a couple of issues in the condo and she was able to have maintenance come out quickly to help us. We had a great time and will definitely come back!

Lovely, quiet complex but numerous issues detracted significantly from enjoyment of the unit

I introduced a colleague to this part of the DR on a long holiday weekend. For only two people, this large condo is spacious and comfortable. The lovely grounds are well-maintained. We enjoyed the pool and the beach close by. The entire complex was quiet and relaxing. However, the following issues were significant enough that neither of us would choose to stay in this particular unit again. 1) Upon booking through VRBO, there was a minor miscommunication regarding local taxes (18%!), from which we are exempt due to our employment status in the DR. We contacted the owner, who refused to make any adjustment, claiming his hands were tied -- which we have since determined is untrue; an owner can arrange partial or full refunds of payments made through VRBO. Moreover, he almost became irate when this came up (and we were being polite and positive, excited about coming). This was an awkward first encounter, but we decided to continue and absorbed the loss. It did, however, leave an unfortunate taste in our mouth before we even arrived. 2) NO HOT WATER! Throughout, it was tepid at best (it wouldn't even melt butter off a knife my friend tried to rinse in the kitchen; she ended up heating water in the microwave just in order to wash our few dishes). In the unit, the owner has a list of "Condo Rules" which indicate the lack of hot water is to be expected on a Caribbean island. This is a flimsy excuse and simply not true. We both live full-time in the Dominican Republic, travel extensively, and have stayed in all kinds of accommodations. There is hot water everywhere! 3) The listing advertises a fitness center on site, which was a big draw for us. But it does not explain the access hours are quite limited (i.e., 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. only, Sundays and holidays). So much for getting in one's early morning workout before heading out for the day. 4) The WiFi was completely OUT for nearly two of our three-day stay. We called the property manager on Friday afternoon upon arrival, but there didn't appear to be any urgency on her part to fix the issue. We had to wait for a tech twice, and were eventually online by Sunday around noon. This meant no movie watching for a rainy night or even checking email No partial refund or even apology was offered for this lack of service. 5) Loud, banging "house" music from nearby marina *every* night. 6) Lots of mosquitoes and no screens meant lovely large patio was virtually unusable. No screens on sliding doors meant no breezes.

Beautiful!

This home is exactly as pictured. I took my husband and parents (1st time in the Dominican Republic) and upon entering this home they were in awe. So much better than staying in an hotel. Beautiful view of the marina, plenty of restaurants and shopping. Area has its own private beach and 2 pools. Wish we could had stayed longer. Take advantage of the in house massage and Chef in house (recommend Chef Manuel). They also provide airport transfers for a nominal fee. Doribel Jimenez is your point of contact for this.

Beautiful

My wife and I do not like busy, loud, party filled beaches, so this condo was prefect. The restaurants were just okay, with the exception of Api's at the beach and the tapas bar near the shops. They were both great spots and atmospheres. Matthew at Api's made us feel at home, and their drinks were by far the best we had at any restaurant/bar. I feel bad that I cannot remember the name of the tapas restaurant, but the manager, a Russian gentleman, was also extremely nice and welcoming. The Condo itself was beautiful and the walk to the beach was really close. Cannot thank Johnny enough for such a great vacation.

Johnny Perez is wonderful, and his condo is lovely

If you are staying in the Cap Cana area, please do yourself a favor, stay at this condo, unless you want a busy atmosphere. We stayed at Alsol Tierra and really enjoyed it for the three days we were there before we went to Casa de Campo for 5 days.. We then returned to the Cap Cana/Punta Cana area, and went to our condo that had been booked at Bookings.com, and we were informed it was not available. We took a room at the Hard Rock Casino to have a bed to sleep in, yuk, a crazy place full of kids, and reached out to Johnny who rushed his staff over to the condo to spruce it up, met us that afternoon, and we moved in for the balance of our remaining second week. This is quiet area, but if you want peace and quiet, a beautiful patio on which to sit and watch the boats in the marina, and an easy walk or short drive to wonderful restaurants, this is the place to be. It is also very close to Punta Espada golf course, the reason we stay at Cap Cana.This is our second stay in a condo at the marina, and this unit was the best maintained of the two, and the master bed was much more comfortable; sometimes beds in latin countries can be a little too firm.

Had a wonderful week and went fishing with a boat parked 20 yards from porch. Caught fish and cooked in several times. Rent a car for sure and go to grocery in village for all you need.

The stay at this condo was spectacular!! The condo was exactly as pictured... The pictures do not do it justice!! If you are looking for a place to have peace and quit and escape from the hustle and bustle of the town... This is the place for you! It is very lonely not much to do in the cap cana conmunity but this was perfect for myself and three children!! It was absolutely safe and being safe and have the serenity and peace and quiet is just what we were looking for and got

Great Vacation

We enjoyed our vacation stay at Johnny's place. The condo was perfect; modern, specious, beautifully decorated, kitchen is well equipped, internet worked excellent for 5 of us. We loved the balcony with the view of the marina where we spent most of the afternoons. Pools and beach are magnificent there.People by the pool work really well trying to accommodate you with chairs, umbrellas, etc. We loved the fact that there were very few people. Beach is by far one of the best there. Not too wavy, not too shallow, water is very worm and clean, just perfect. You do need a car to buy groceries as taxi ride is about $40 one way to the grocery store. There is very good description of Cap Cana on Trip Advisory site. Yes, you do feel isolated from everything there, but for us it was very relaxing and enjoyable vacation. There are couple restaurants walking distance, but they were always empty, probably because they are pretty expensive. The best grocery super market is in Punta Cana or by airport, which is about 15 minutes drive. Johnny and concierge service were very responsive with all the questions.Thank you to all for making our vacation perfect.

Great Vacation

My stay was met with a warm welcome by an excellent staff/management. The condo home is well kept. Comfortable, clean and cozy. Everything I needed was there in the home. Great location. Restaurants and Super Market only a few minutes driving distance which is really convenient. Great location, great staff and great condominium. A true home away from home.
