3-Story Glass Walls Cabin - Smoky Mtn + City Views - Hot Tub, Pool Table, Games
Three stories of floor-to-ceiling glass. The Smoky Mountains in front of you. The lights of Gatlinburg below. Nordic Haven isn't just a cabin with a view - it's a cabin that IS the view.
This Chalet Village retreat sleeps 8 with glass walls on every level, a hot tub against the mountainside, and a game room opening onto the deck. Walk to the Ober Tramway, swim at resort pools, or pour a coffee and watch clouds roll through the peaks. One mile to downtown. A thousand feet above it.
Three levels of glass-walled mountain living:
- Wraparound glass walls on all 3 levels - Smoky Mountain ridgelines by day, Gatlinburg city lights by night
- Sleeps 8 across 2 spacious queen suites (with attached full baths) and a king loft with twin bunks
- Fully equipped kitchen with dining table and dinnerware for adults and children
- Charcoal grill located right outside front door (park style and bear proof)
- Ample flat, free parking
- Cozy gas fireplace in living room (available early Oct to late March)
- Fully stocked coffee bar (ground coffee, K-cups, cream, and sugar), Native bath products in every bathroom, hot tub towels for everyone, and USB-C outlets throughout - just bring yourselves
- Starter supplies included: dish soap, laundry pods, dishwasher pods, paper towels, toilet paper, and trash bags - no grocery run needed on arrival
Decks on every level - pick your view:
- Balcony and decks on all 3 levels - sunrise from the loft, sunset from the hot tub
- Spacious hot tub with mountain and city-light views
- 8 rocking chairs across 3 decks
Rainy day? You won't mind:
- 5 smart TVs: 75" in the downstairs entertainment area, 65" in living room, 43" in king suite, 40" in each queen suite
- Downstairs entertainment area: pool table, 75" TV with comfy seating, bean bag toss, and a stocked board game collection
- High-speed internet
- Washer and dryer on main level
- Pack and play for little ones
Sleeps 8 across three levels:
- Upstairs king loft with twin bunks, jetted tub, en suite bath (shower), and private balcony
- Lower level with 2 queen suites, each with private en suite bath (shower)
Chalet Village - the best location in Gatlinburg:
- 1 mile to Ober Mountain Tramway - ride the tram straight into downtown Gatlinburg
- 3 resort clubhouses with swimming pools (Memorial Day - Labor Day), fitness centers, tennis courts, and playground
- Walking distance to indoor ice skating, mountain coaster, alpine slide, and winter tubing
- 5 miles to Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Sugarlands Visitor Center
- 13 miles to Dollywood
What guests love most:
- "The most beautiful views from a cabin in 40 years of visiting the GSM. The sunrise over the mountains is breathtaking."
- "Our family had an amazing stay at this cabin! The view was absolutely incredible, it truly felt like we were staying in a treehouse surrounded by nature. Every morning we woke up to the peaceful sounds of the mountains and couldn’t get over how calm and relaxing it was."
- "Nordic Haven was perfect in every way! Views were breathtaking and an amazing pleasure to be immersed in."
- "What a view. If you want to be in mountains over Gatlinburg this is the place. Great cabin and very clean."
Dog-friendly: Up to 2 well-behaved dogs allowed with a $215 fee (please ensure pets are accurately reflected in your reservation).
What makes this mountain cabin unique:
No checkout tasks - just make sure the fireplace is off and doors and windows are closed.
The drive up Chalet Village is a real mountain road - steep switchbacks and serious elevation gain. First-timers find it adventurous; by trip two, you'll drive it like a local. Sedans, minivans, and SUVs all make it. And every guest says the same thing once they arrive: "I've never been this high or seen a view like this." AWD recommended in icy or snowy conditions - salt trucks clear the road quickly since Ober ski resort is up here.
The cabin's three levels connect via a charming wooden spiral staircase - it's part of the cabin's character.
The king loft is the crown jewel - a full open-air third floor with the most dramatic views in the cabin. Floor-to-ceiling glass means the sunrise wakes you naturally (no blackout curtains on this level - embrace it). Twin bunks share the space, making it perfect for a family of four. The two queen suites on the lower level each have their own bathroom and full privacy.
Black bears call this mountain home - you may spot them from the deck!
Decor and furnishings may vary slightly from photos as items are refreshed over time.
