Charming Beach Bungalow with Private Pool and steps away from the Beach!

Newly renovated Blue Whale Beach Bungalow is Back and even Better! This amazing retreat boasts a private pool and wonderful private lanai area for the perfect outdoor space. The entire home has been redone and everything is brand new from appliances to flooring to furniture.

AMAZING LOCATION on the highly sought after Lido Key. You are steps away from the beautiful Lido Key Beach, Ted Sperling Park for Kayaking and the famous St. Armand's Circle with dining and shopping. This private oasis is only a 15 minute drive from the Sarasota Airport and only a couple of miles to downtown Sarasota for additional shopping and dining. There is a free shuttle, the Sarasota Bay Runner, operating 7 days a week from 8 AM - Midnight that connects downtown Sarasota with St. Armand's Circle and Lido Key.

The indoor living space is completely open and leads out to the outdoor living space for wonderful Florida living. The new expansive kitchen is perfect for enjoying family time. The kitchen includes all the amenities you could possibly need. The primary bedroom has a king size bed with ensuite bathroom, walk in closet and full size washer and dryer. The 2nd bedroom on the opposite side of the bungalow boasts a queen bed, nice size closet and ensuite bathroom. Open living room area offers a queen size sofa bed for additional sleeping.

The outdoor lanai which leads out to the pool is completely screened in and offers a large 10 person seated table and large sectional area. Additional lounge chairs and pool floats make this the perfect escape. Kayaks, bikes and BBQ grill are also provided for your complete enjoyment during your stay at one of our favorite places in the world! Spent two nights with a family of 5 adults. House was in the perfect location, super clean, and managed great. Kitchen and open room provided a great area to sit around and enjoy the company. Will rent again when down here visiting.

Wonderful place, but starting to show some wear and tear

We have stayed at this property several times over the years and I have to say that I was a little disappointed this year. Overall, the property is still wonderful and met all of our needs, but the cleanliness and upkeep has started to decline. These are some of the things that I noticed; 1. Mildew in the shower track of the ensuite bathroom 2. General disarray of the linens in the closet 3. Sheets on the bed were frayed 4. The patio chairs on the pool deck were filthy, as was the pool decking and tables. 5. The patio occasional tables had holes in the wicker and should really be replaced. 6. When we used the outdoor grill, the grease trap had not been cleaned and in the middle of cooking, there was a fire that singed my husband's eyebrows. I can't say that we wouldn't stay there again, but for the price, we may look elsewhere in the future.

We loved it!

What a beautiful home! Our 7 and 3 years old loved the private pool. They swam in it every single day until 9pm at night. We used the 2 kayaks that were available as well and that was a lot of fun and easy to walk to the nature park. Absolutely beautiful! We also used the bikes. Such a perfect place! It has everything that you need: beach chair, umbrella, wagons! Beach toys, tons of floaties! Host Julie was also very quick in responding. We loved our stay!

Excellent location & helpful host

Unfortunately tropical storm turned hurricane Debbie hit the area right as we were supposed be arriving for our trip. Julie was very responsive to our messages, even sending thier property manager to check out the area for us, and incredibly accomodating when it turned out the roads were flooded keeping us from getting in on time. I couldn't have asked for a host to do anything more than what Julie did for us and look forward to staying here again (although with better weather).

Fun family trip

We stayed for a few nights and my husband was able to work from the house while we went out and explored. We loved that we could walk to the beach, as well as to many restaurants and shops. The house was very comfortable and clean - we would love to come back.

Great stay on Lido Key!

We had a great stay at Julie's property on Lido Key. Leading up to our visit, Julie was very responsive and helpful with any questions. Everything on the property was as-advertised and we especially loved the pool! Perfect location with a very short walk to public beach access and St. Armand's. The house itself was very clean, our only (small) complaint was that the outdoor furniture on the lanai was very dirty and really needed to be wiped down to sit on it. Otherwise we had a great trip and would stay here again!

Everything was perfect. The weather was absolutely gorgeous for pool time, sunbathing, and walking. The house was very clean inside and out. No complaints whatsoever. Julie was very responsive to my inquiries. I will most definitely be back for another stay.

Great outdoor space

We have stayed at a few different rental properties on Lido Key and this had by far the best outdoor space. A large covered area with comfortable armchairs and a dining table, another dining table out in the sun and plenty of loungers next to the pool. I appreciated the pool being heated to 86F. The kayaks were a great feature and it’s only a few minutes walk to the kayak launch (where you can also rent kayaks). I enjoyed exploring the mangroves and saw some dolphins in deeper water. It’s a pleasant 15 minute walk to the restaurants and shops at St Armands Circle. The house itself was comfortable.

Surprisingly Nice Little House

House is located right on corner with parking in front and side. Only house in that row with covered pool and lanai. Outside area was large and had plenty of furniture, chaise lounge chairs, pool floats, and TV. Inside was very comfortable and had a well-stocked kitchen with dishes, utensils, coffee maker, toaster, pots and pans. I have stayed at rental homes that didn't have nearly all the items that this house had.

Lovely Spot

We enjoyed our stay on Lido Key. The house was within walking distance of parks and the quaint shopping and restaurant district. We were there to attend a wedding on Longboat Key, and it was an easy drive to the wedding venue. The lanai and pool were delightful!

Location Location Location!

Best location! Easy walk to beach, parks, St Armand’s Circle and an easy drive anywhere else. Surrounding homes are gorgeous also. House had nice pool and lanai for relaxing. Some minor things could use updates such as the beach chairs. Weather & wear have made them a bit rough. But overall, a super stay and very responsive host!!

In town for wedding with friends. My daughter lives there and was invited as well. They ended up having to stay with us as there was a fatality on tingling bridge and it was shut down at 10pm police didn’t k ow when it would reopen. We all had to walk back to Vrbo from welcome drinks at O’Learys . It took us two hours. Thank goodness the Vrbo had extra rollaway‘s and a pull out sofa as that’s where everyone had to crash. quite an ordeal, but it all turned out great the outdoor area at the VRBO. It’s amazing big lanai, TV and pool. 2 blocks to beach!

The Lanai was a godsend

The temps were scorching so we did not get to lay on the beach as planned. We had the pool and pool toys to play with and keep cool.It was so relaxing. We would love to come back and visit again.
