Excellent vacation home!

We had the best time at this beach house in Bora Bora! The place is beautiful, super clean, and right on a private beach. Waking up to ocean views every day was unreal. The house had everything we needed and felt really cozy. The host was super friendly and respond you right away. It honestly felt like our own little piece of paradise. Would 100% stay here again

The villa is exactly as pictured and described. The location is right on the beach and close to markets, stores and restaurants. I would come back here again and again. Luanna helped us every time we had questions. The communication is very quick response time.

We absolutely loved our stay at this property. Both the owners and the property manager, Luana, were exceptionally welcoming, gracious and accommodating. We did not rent a car during our four-day stay, so appreciated the ability to walk to a handful of dining options nearby and also have the small market so conveniently close. Our tweens loved playing on the beach in front of the house, and exploring with the house's kayaks. Would love to have stayed much longer, and wholeheartedly recommend it to any family looking to unwind or explore the Matira Beach end of Bora Bora.

Honeymoon in Beautiful Beach House in Matira Beach!

The house and the location were absolutely amazing. The house was exactly as described. The living area and kitchen were clean and had an amazing breeze from the ocean and both bedrooms were airconditioned. We were walking distance to everything that we needed, restaurants, markets and bars. This is the perfect stay for anyone looking to visit Bora Bora.

Beautiful House and Property

The owner sends a welcome message will very helpful details before you arrive. The property manager, Louana, is really at your disposal. She is so kind and responds almost immediately to any text you might send. The house is lovely. The beach is exquisite. The neighbors are friendly and always wave if they see you walking in the drive. This property is a very good value! This was our second stay and we will definitely stay again next visit.

Excellent beach house

We really enjoyed the house and the convenient location. We were able to walk to the beach, grocery store and restaurants. We enjoyed the yard, the hammock and the kayaks. It was great to have the coral garden so close for snorkeling. Louana was so nice and gave us her WhatsApp to contact her with any questions during our stay. I would definitely stay here again! I miss it already!

Location, location, location

Matira beach is exceedingly beautiful. The beach house is located a stone's throw from intercontinental hotel which gave us a wonderful option for dining. Most meals we fixed at the house which has every cooking gadget available. We did need to wash dishes and cooking utensils before using. Bedrooms, bathrooms, countertops all clean. The pictures online represent a good view of the enclosed yard above the beach. However, what's not in view are the multiple boats at the beach so it was difficult to easily enjoy in the water in front of the house. The great news is that a public beach is just as you enter the intercontinental and it is clean with restrooms and absolutely gorgeous water.Homeowner is wonderfully responsive as well as Louann who met us at the beach house when we arrived, gave us a great tour and was very helpful. We will be back, hopefully!

Amazing views and position on beach

We loved our stay in this lovely house that had a homely island feel to it . The views and position on the beach was amazing . We used the kayaks to go to the coral garden and just snorkeling off the beach we saw a stingray and beautiful fish . It’s in a great area with the sunset and sunrise beaches a walk away . The caretaker Louana was so helpful and informative ilshe made check in so pleasant . Such wishes we had more days here

Amazing property

It is everything you want in a vacation home and more. I read it in other reviews, but I didn’t realize how amazing the location was until we got there. Being right next to the IC Le Moana is so helpful for pick ups and you have direct access to the beach, and the famous coral gardens/aquarium (large reef system great for snorkeling) is just a 15-20 minute kayak directly in front of the home. Grocery stores, several restaurants, and the AVIS rental are within walking distance. Truly an exceptional property. Already looking to stay here again!

Prime Beachfront Cottage in Paradise!

Matira Beach on Bora Bora is one of the most Beautiful white sand beaches with warm turquoise water on the planet! This cottage is very spacious and in excellent upgraded condition. Views of gorgeous sunrises were a wonderful way to start each day! The Intercontinental Resort is right next door providing excellent cuisine when we were not in the mood to cook! This location also gave us a close look at Tahitian family life and island activities. We found all the locals to be friendly, gracious and very well mannered! Would suggest adding beach chairs and more beach towels. Otherwise, furnishings and kitchen supplies were well stocked. We rented a car and this is good to have to explore this dreamy paradise!

Bora Bora Marina Beach house

We had a wonderful week at this perfect location. It was our second stay at this home. They upgraded the kitchen and a few other things since our last stay in 2016. Communication with Louana through the WhatsApp was fast and easy. Our flights were delayed and our phones weren’t working when we landed but Louana stayed and waited for us to arrive and let us in. The bed in the master bedroom is very firm and might not be comfortable for everyone. We will definitely stay here again. Thanks again!

Beach house

This is an incredible place to stay in Bora Bora. The property manager goes above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. The house provides everything - AC in both bedrooms, full kitchen, utensils, and dishware, as well as a large TV and gear for snorkeling / floating in the water. Unlike the water bungalows, you will have a shaded backyard complete with chairs and hammocks to lounge on and enjoy the view, plus a sandy shore to walk along just below. The water is clear and leads to two large coral reefs nearby; you and your family can snorkel safely away from boats and see a decent number of fish. The view of the sunrise is breathtaking, but no sunset - you will need to take a quick walk to Matira beach to see this. It’s a convenient location overall, close to Lucky House restaurant (highly recommend), beaches, docks for excursions, and two grocery stores within a 15 minute walk. Would recommend to anyone considering a beautiful, relaxing vacation in Bora Bora.

Heaven on earth!

We returned to Bora Bora 15 years after our honeymoon here. We did the resort stay then but opted for VRBO with our two boys this time. We absolutely loved it. The backyard is right on the beach. We swam in the ocean multiple times daily. We booked all the same excursions that we did before. We were walking distance from a cute little market and enjoyed our fresh baguettes daily. We were also walking distance from an Avis where we rented mopeds for a day and explored the entire island. Highly recommend. Louanna, the house manager, was excellent. She recommended excursions and helped with translation when needed. There are little ants but not an issue if you stay on top of dishes after every meal. No different than Hawaii. We will definitely be back!

Paradise Found

This is a trip that can not be missed. More than that, a stay in this house makes the amazing island so much better. The only issue was no one was at the dock to pick us up but after having a local make a call all was better and we were on our way. The house is everything that is advertised plus more. A Patio out back which leads you to a well manicured lawn that as you can see gives you the view of a lifetime. The walk in shower was great as well as the gas range. Stores are steps away as well as several restaurants all of which are great. We took advantage of the beach as the snorkeling and scuba tour boats pulled right to the beach and away we went. It was great being able to cook a few meals and just lounge with no set agenda and have plenty of room to do it. Many Many over water huts all look great but take my word for it this house offers so much room and comfort you just can not go wrong.

Fabulous Place

We had a great time here and the listing awesome We had some bad luck with timing that definitely soured our stay which would not normally be a concern The next door intercontinental hotel was ripping apart over water bungalows and repairing all day every day from 7am on. Machine noise all day, wood floating all around the beach was most unfortunate. Add that to the active fishing stations right in front on the beach (which wasn’t in any of the listing photos) cleaning and gutting fish on a hot day is not a fun smell for some people, particularly to hit you when your meant to be chilling in the excellent hammock on the property. Totally get its locals lively hood, but even my wife that is a Marine Biologist said it was a little over powering some days, and just 15 metres up the beach none of this was an issue. Noise, mess, and smell combined were something i doubt would happen any other week of the year, we just had to deal with it. And you only have to walk 2 minutes to be right on Maitra itself The rest of the experience, the house, the location, the communication (the help with a water leak) were 10/10. And having 2 ocean kayaks and being able to launch right out front to access some of the better corals in the lagoon and other motu was absolutely awesome Book this place if you can.

Perfect location

We had a really lovely, relaxing stay here, spending most of our time in the hammock and patio. The location was even better than I expected given that we didn't want to rent a car but suffered no inconvenience. The house is a three minute walk to an excellent grocery store with friendly employees tolerant of my terrible french (chocolate croissants and rotisserie chicken were great), Lucky House restaurant (excellent pizza and reasonable prices), and a little local owned food cart where I bought smoothies, espresso and lunch or dinner each day (samosas and poisson cru highly recommended). The beach in front of the house was a good launch point for snorkeling at the Le Moana OWB next door, which have planted coral gardens underneath to attract fish. I believe the house is on the 'breezy' side of Matira point, which is nice because the heat could be stifling. AC inside the bedrooms was critical. The wind created choppy conditions for swimming and kayaking during our stay, so when we wanted calm flat seas we just walked across the street to Matira beach where there was no wind whatsoever. We also got dinner and saw the Polynesian show next door at the Le Moana which was very convenient. If the seas permit, do take the kayaks to the coral gardens, they are extraordinary-we saw them on a snorkel tour later in our trip and realized what we had missed. Louana was very helpful and responsive, we had two issues come up during our stay and they were both resolved quickly.
