The entire experience of renting the Bora Bora bungalow from Ed was very efficient . Ed provided us timely responses and provided specific information regarding our upcoming stay. We were greeted at Viatape by Christophe and Ginou u gave us a warm welcome and took us directly to the condo using the rental car that we rented from Ed. Very convenient. Also we were so appreciative of help provided by Coralie (Ginou's niece) The condo is beautifully furnished and has all the comforts of home. The views from the condo are spectacular . The lanai has relaxing patio furniture and a large table and chairs. We ate most of our meals on the lanai because where could u find a better view? We highly recommend renting the Bora Bora bungalow u will not be disappointed!
The reviews for this bungalow are top notch and having experienced it Ed's bungalow does not disappoint. It's beautifully designed with all the right amenities to make you feel completely at home and comfortable including a big kitchen where we cooked up fresh Ahi tuna. We were grateful for the unexpected care and attention Ed puts towards ensuring you get the most out of your stay before and during your visit. His input into where to shop and even the best flight options was invaluable and made this 10 year anniversary trip truly memorable!
This is a fabulous bungalow at the north end of the island, with a stunning view, huge deck and comfortable padded lounge chairs.
From the pictures online the bungalow looks really nice, yet it is absolutely incredible in person (living room, kitchen and deck all appear narrow in photos; rooms are actually much larger). From the moment you walk in the door and see two walls of windows (view can be seen from the bed too), then step out onto the deck... you're hooked!
Unless we we're outside playing, we spent the majority of our time on the expansive bungalow deck, almost an extension of the living room with the nicely finished wood floor, plus dining table.
Ed and JoAnne spared no expense with their remodel including furniture and finishing touches.
Everything was easy, their hosts greeted us at the dock, took us to the condo and let us know how everything works. They'll also give you a lift at the end of your stay, to the ferry or your next home on the island. Ed and his crew in Bora Bora are responsive and reliable.
Their 2 bikes, kayaks and SUPs were a big plus, since we are very active. Biked ~6 miles to Vaitape a few times and all the way around the entire island once ~22 miles, plus kayaked to the coral gardens twice for snorkeling.
The full kitchen saved us money too, since it's easy to spend $60 to $100 USD on lunch or dinner for 2 without alcohol.
We spent 5 nights in the bungalow and wished we could have stayed another 7 (booked solid tho). Instead we hopped around the island; Matira Beach, Vaitape and then our last 2 nights will be in a glass bottom hut at Le Meridien.
I've never been awake so early consistently to watch the sunrise. You'll be in a great sunrise and sunset location.
I told my husband, if Ed wanted to give us this place, I'd take it ;-)

We were on our honeymoon and this accommodation was fantastic. We were a bit unfortunate with the weather while we were staying here, but I couldn't think of a better place to relax whilst being stuck indoors!
Ed was very accommodating whilst we were staying there, picking up his phone whilst on holiday himself to answer a few questions.
Overall I would highly recommend staying at Here Moana.
My wife and I spent a week here for our honeymoon during the end of October to beginning of November 2015. Sorry on the late review, I had thought I already reviewed.. Leading up to our visit I made all our arrangements with Edward over Email and he took the time to talk to us on the phone. We discussed what to do, how to arrive, etc, and he even let us know what to do/see in Tahiti, since we started and ended our vacation there for a few days. Following our arrival in Bora Bora airport, we took a water taxi to the mainland and were greeted by his niece Coralie our host on the mainland. The boat ride is an amazing dirve in, it was like a dream! Coralie picked us up and showed us the route home to the bungalow. Along the way sharing where grocery and restaurants are and some excursions to do while there. We did plenty but the best one was the Shark and Ray snorkle/swim, it was definitely the highlight! This is a very beautiful bungalow! Huge open space with large kitchen and large living area, bedroom was great size with a comfortable bed. Wifi was great and of course the amazing deck off the kitchen with the waterfront view! Breakfast every morning and sunset each night was a sight to see! They have laundry downstairs along with snorkels, chairs, which we used at the beach and a car you can rent from them on site. Coralie gave us her email and she was quick to respond to our questions within a matter of a few hours. The Bungalow was truly a special place to really experience the life on the island. We saved a lot of money and enjoyed cooking our own meals as well as the culture experience and all the sights/shopping while driving around the island. Great place and wonderful hosts, we can not wait to be back! Thank you for sharing you place.
We recently stayed for one week at Ed and Joanne’s house called “Here Moana.” The rental is said to have once belonged to Marlon Brando. We could not have been happier with our choice of this home. We spoke with Ed before going to Bora Bora and he patiently answered our questions on more than one occasion as well as giving us advice on what to bring, what restaurants to try and what activities to do.
When we first arrived on Bora Bora, we were met by Christophe and his wife. While driving to the bungalow, Christophe gave us a briefing on Bora Bora. At the house, he quickly gave us a tour of the home and all of its amenities. We were impressed by how nice the house is furnished (just like the pictures – you won’t be disappointed). We were grateful for some of the extras that were included unexpectedly which were a bottle of wine, local beer, coke, diet coke, and a huge bowl of fruit. What was most impressive was the view from the balcony. It stormed a couple of days while we were there but just hanging out on the covered balcony provided great entertainment.
One of the great things about renting a home is the ability to cook some meals and save some money rather than always eating out. Ed’s grill worked perfectly for cooking steak a couple of nights while providing a view to the water.
We used the kayak that Ed and Joanne provided and kayaked to the other side of the lagoon to snorkel. It was a little bit of a challenge trying to figure out how to fill the kayak up with air but once we overcame the challenge we were fine.
One of the nice things about staying on the island is getting to meet the locals and learn the culture. If you are looking for an experience where you shop for food where the locals shop and maybe eat where the locals eat, you won’t be disappointed. One night we were driving home from Bloody Mary’s and we heard drums beating. We decided to stop and see what was going on. Turns out it was a local dance competition. It was magical. We were the only visitors there. You most likely would not have this experience if you stayed at a resort on a motu. We would have missed it had we not gone out for dinner. Anyways, we highly recommend staying at Ed and JoAnne’s place if you want to get to know Bora Bora and it’s people. If we ever go back to Bora Bora, we would not hesitate to stay in Here Moana again.
