The overall stay was not good for us. The only reason we booked this condo was because location and it said it had an onsite gym in 2 different locations in the description. On highlight and in details. It did not have a gym anywhere. When my husband and I travel we love to have a gym on location. I called owner because we could not find said gym. He seemed clueless that the property indicated that it had a gym onsite. He told me there is a public gym across the street for a fee. That on top of we didn't like view from living room/patio, it is not pleasant as it’s the walkway for public beach access and a view of bldg under construction. In pictures curtains are closed. Also property did feel clean. Floor felt dirty, found long hair in shower, no shampoo or soap was provided as indicated.Too many things were false advertisement. I contacted owner by phone and text after 1st nights. Once he knew I was unhappy and said we may checkout the next day, he never responded back to my text or phone calls. He ghosted me. I felt completely ignored and that he didn’t want to deal with our concerns or come to an agreement on us being unhappy with his condo. We checked out 3 days early and he refused to refund us for those 3 days. I followed his rules when we checked out. It’s been a complicated process with this owner and VRBO ended up giving us a small refund. Because this owner refused to. I proved all of the false advertisement which he has now corrected on his site. Very upsetting

Hello Julie, thank you for the feedback. We’ve always taken huge pride in our 5-star cleanliness record; since I personally prepare the condo between visitors to ensure everything is just perfect, I was surprised by your comments. When I arrived to clean after your one-night stay, I found and documented significant floor dirt, trash, and food left in the fridge, along with an unusual amount of laundry. This is a big departure from the pristine condition we always maintain. I’m also confused by the mention of hair in the drain, as we are extremely thorough there. Regarding the gym: we aren't a full facility with heavy-lifting weights, and in 22 years at Sandcastles, this is truly the first time it’s been an issue. I really wanted to make things right when you called on Easter morning, which is why I offered to pay for you and your husband’s passes at the Cocoa Beach Health Club right across the street. I had even called them to confirm fees and they were expecting you both, but I never heard back from you to finalize the arrangement. We try our best to be helpful hosts, but we cannot offer refunds for early departures based on subjective preferences like the view or nearby construction. We had hoped the heated pool, sauna, lighted tennis courts, and ocean access were still enjoyable, and we’re sorry the stay wasn’t a perfect fit for you.

Complete and cozy place for a family vacation.

Very well decorated, equipped, and comfortable condo. We had a blast! Just a few steps from the beach, heated pool, and hot tub made our life easy with the kids. Safe and quiet place. We definitely will be back!

A girlfriend and I came for a 5 day getaway. We’d come back, for sure!

The condo and surrounding grounds were clean, well-kept and quiet. We enjoyed the large, clean pool only steps from our room door. The beach beyond the locked gate was fabulous too. I felt safe here and would definitely come back with my family and friends!

Perfect Stay at Sandcastles

I stay at Sandcastles every summer. This unit is clean, spacious and updated. The ground level unit is perfectly located near the parking lot, pool and easy walk to the beach. The condo has everything you need for an amazing stay!

Great location

This property is right on the ocean in the middle of everything there is to do in Cocoa Beach. It is clean and properly maintained. The grounds are beautiful with an awesome pool and steps to beach access. The owner is great and very helpful.

Cocoa Beach stay

The unit was clean and updated and fully furnished kitchen and steps to pool and beach. They had construction going on during stay and outside and adjacent properties somewhat dated but Steven was very responsive and the inside of unit very nice.
