We review all guest feedback carefully and are always the first to acknowledge genuine oversights. (In this instance, however, clarification is necessary.) The condition of the provided kingsize headboard after departure was materially different from our own photo/ video walkthrough documentation of its pre-arrival intact condition. Had the bed been damaged upon this particular guests initial arrival, it would have been immediately apparent and concern raised promptly by the guest, who wasnt one to shy away from even the smaller issues of a missing light bulb. Introducing this claim only after departure, alongside a collection of minor and embellished complaints, and abstract photos undermines its credibility and suggests an attempt to deflect accountability for headboard damage incurred by the guest at some point during their stay. Prior to check-in, the suite underwent a documented walkthrough with management oversight confirming among other punchlisted items the bed and headboard, which were were fully intact and operational at that time. During their stay, there was a mid-stay management visit shortly after arrival, followed by additional in-person staff service a few days later for courtesy delivery of extra towels. At no point during these interactions—or in subsequent communications, including a message later in the stay wishing us a Merry Christmas—was any issue with the bed mentioned as a concern in the communication threads. This omission is notable... particularly given the guest’s willingness to raise significantly more minor concerns ( albeit also only post stay). Photographs referencing trash in common areas depict a shared building space during the December 24-25-26 Christmas Eve/Morning holiday period, when building maintenance services are widley unavailable in residential buildings barring emergencies in observation of the holiday. This lead to increased holiday packaging contributing to higher-than-normal refuse buildup. While entirely atypical, the issue was promptly remediated once normal operations resumed. Guests staying in residential buildings during major holidays are expected to exercise reasonable situational awareness. Several claims in the review materially overstate conditions and mischaracterize what was provided. Items described as “left behind” were complimentary amenities intentionally offered as a courtesy, including unopened bottled beverages, filtered water, coffee and tea service, and individually packaged personal-care items. These amenities were consumed during the stay. By contrast, a substantial amount of actual trash was left behind at checkout, some of which appears to have been photographed and implied to predate arrival. Our documented pre-arrival inspection confirms the suite and bins were empty at check-in. We regret that the guest described this stay as their “worst experience.” That characterization appears to stem from unfamiliarity with the VRBO model and a repeated failure to engage with information that was verifiably delivered and readily available. Check-in, parking, and arrival instructions—including the unit identification required for valet—were provided in advance via the reservation portal and confirmed through documented text communication. Despite this, the guest repeatedly asserted that required information had not been provided, including disputing receipt of the unit number until they were directed back to a prior text exchange sent hours earlier. Rather than reviewing the provided materials or acknowledging the oversight, the guest elected to characterize the process itself as deficient. This review reflects a fundamental mismatch between guest expectations and the accommodation selected. Travelers seeking hotel-style service, constant staffing, or turnkey perfection are better served by traditional hotels at corresponding price points. For guests seeking a refined residential experience, our broader review history—and the experiences of countless other travelers—speaks decisively. Hello Ms. Murphy, Your statement that no one responded between Saturday and Monday, and your assumption that someone accessed your suite, are not supported by proven facts. Our team responded on Saturday at 10:55 AM, 5:15 PM, 5:31 PM, and 6:10 PM, all within our business hours of 4 AM–9 PM. Every message you sent during that period received a timely reply. The concern you raised at 11:45 PM ( locating a small paper bag) in the unit, occurred well outside staffing hours. The bag you found—a small throw, glasses, water, and a charger—was confirmed by entryway surveillance to have been left behind by the housekeeper prior to your arrival. No one entered or attempted to enter your suite at any point. Housekeeping even reached out to apologize to you and verified the items as theirs after your insistence that they “couldn’t be.” Misinterpretations happen, and there is no issue acknowledging them. However, your review omitted the documented facts that directly contradict your assumptions. You chose to leave the property in the middle of the night—despite having a functioning key, a deadbolt, onsite security, and an intact reservation—because staff did not wake up mid‑sleep to address speculation. That was a personal decision, not a service failure. It is unfortunate that you proceeded to publish a review describing events that did not occur and continue to disregard the verified evidence.
