Love Monterey Country Club
We had a great week. Hiking, pool-time, golf, happy-hours, etc. We absolutely love the Monterey CC and location. The house was fine. It's stocked with essentials. Pool is right out the back door. The house could use some general updating and maybe some removal of some furniture (too much furniture...could not even open the shutter-doors to view the outside). But, really, no major complaints. Owners were nice, helpful and responsive.

Clean, secured, great place, trusting, good location
First time using VRBO and we had an excellent stay. Do not be discourage from staying here. The beds are very comfortable, the place is very clean, sanitizers were provided. During our stay the host was very attentive, if we needed something whenever we did reach out to them, they were there with a quick response. We did leave something behind and the host went out of their way to return it. If I attend the Coachella Music Festival again, i will make sure to book this place. This house has everything you need for your stay and the pool is right behind the back door. There is security 24/7, so i felt safer staying here.

Unfortunately this property is not maintained as the owner has described it in the listing . My husband had a horrific allergy problem after just a few short hours after check in . We suspect mold . The owner has attempted to paint the water stains on the ceiling in multiple locations . The master shower has paint peeling in several areas. The bath towels need to be replaced as there’s holes and tears . Unfortunately, the owner cut off communication with us and told us to resolve our issue with VRBO. Due to the allergic reaction after staying less than 24 hours we had to make other accommodations. The owner refuses to refund the 6 days we were unable to stay at the property . We have both owned a home and had guests stay with usIng VRBO and have used VRBO for vacation stays 25+ times and have never had such a horrible experience.

This person wanted to leave the property to go elsewhere. She used multiple phony excuses such as: we have a safe in the house that is locked abs she was convinced there eas a gun in it and that was a reason to leave. She claimed there was mold in the bathroom shower and then retracted that claim. She claimed her husband had an allergy attack and left the house 10 in the morning and failed to advise us until after left. we have had many dozens of visitors over the past several years and get nothing but great reviews. N one ever left early and no ever claimed that the house was other than spotless.
We can only conclude that she wanted to move to a different city. Leaving early without telling us was was unprofessional and rude.

This is a very nice spot with excellent proximity to the pool. The home is clean and well stocked. Furniture is comfortable and the style is quirky and eclectic. Communication with the hosts was okay, they did arrive unannounced two times but were reasonable and nice. Check process is very easy.

Very Disappointed Stay........
These owner’s need your money more than any sense of treating you kindly, with fairness or any renter entitlement. Upon arrival this unit was in need of serious cleaning. After our first night’s stay, we offered to move out and pay them about one weeks rent to let us out of the contract. They declined and hired some carpet cleaners and a professional cleaning service. Our rental was Feb. 23 to March 31, 2002. Homeaway initiated their Covid 19 policy March 13. At this point the virus impact was far reaching. The tennis tournament Indian Wells was cancelled, McCallum theater closed, restaurants closed except for take-out, Monterey CC closed, etc. All public venues issued refunds due to these unusual circumstances.
According to Homeaway, owners are suggested to rebook for other dates or make a settlement for not less than half per/nt rate. We notified owners the day prior to intended and departed on the 18th leaving early that morning. After contacting Homeaway, they issued a full refund on their booking fee on March 20. The owners maintained that we had every right to stay, but since we didn’t, we forfeit any unused days and were not going to issue a refund. They maintain they contacted Homeaway for guidance, but as you can see Homeaway saw fit to issue us their refund consistent with their policy. Homeaway also said we have no control over our owners and can only suggest they conform to the Covid 19 policy in this most unusual circumstance of World Pandemic.

Loved the location - this Monterey Country Club home is in beautiful surroundings!
The property is well situated in the community of Palm Desert with easy access to downtown, highways and the airport. The home is in a golf course community that is beautifully landscaped and maintained. The unit has a lovely patio looking over to the pool which is mere footsteps away. With the pool and hot tub so conveniently located it is hard to resist. The unit works well for two couples, each having their own bedroom and bathroom. The owner, Robert, was easy to communicate with and was diligent in coming over when needed.

Great location but could use some updating
We were there for 5 weeks and overall it was a pleasant stay. Robert was usually quick to respond to problems -- of which there were a few, but nothing serious. The location was near perfect for us as we have been coming to this area for many years and always look for a place in this neighborhood. The condo unit was not as nice as we had hoped (but it was quite serviceable.) It's due for an updating throughout. It would benefit from nicer and less furniture. The kitchen was well stocked (dishes, utensils, cookware, appliances, etc.) but would benefit from a new sink.

Wonderful helpful Owners!
Robert and Nicole have made their condo very homey, clean and a well stocked! Loved the chilled bottle of wine waiting for us. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub just outside their patio it was so quiet almost like having a private area. We golfed, played tennis and enjoyed the warm weather! Thanks again for a great stay

Desert Getaway was Great
Location is great central Palm Desert location. Close enough to everything from El Paseo (5 minute car ride) restaurants to Agua Caliente Casino (10 minute Lyft Ride). The community is gated which is nice. One of the community pools and hottubs are right out the back door of the condo, which is great that you don't have to walk down the street or jump in a golf cart to get to the pool, you can move back and forth from the condo to the pool with ease. Only suggestion I would give would be to add a pull out couch for the instances like us where we have 3 individuals, but only two bedrooms. Robert was very responsive, and accommodating to our party arriving at different times and different days. Overall great property, great location, great host. Highly recommended.

Very nice condo and location.
The condo was very nice and comfortable. The location was great. Would definitely recommend to our friends and others.
Robert was very nice and accommodating.
Small notes:
It would have been helpful if there were written instructions regarding the remotes for the ceiling fans.
Too many dishes. No room to store food.
Removal of others left over shampoos would have been nice.
Should have been told that there is a fee to use tennis courts.

Thanks for the positive review. In response to the notes please be advised that there is a full sized pantry closet in the kitchen which is virtually empty. That is where food should have been stored. The Dishes are in the dish cabinets and is not intended for food storage.
Tennis is included with the property and I did advised the men who showed up. If there was an issue they should have called me and I would have straightened the matter out.
We leave shampoo in the showers to accommodate guests. Many people forget to bring some. They are squeeze bottles and therefore not subject
To contamination.
I appreciate your feedback regarding the fans.

The house is in the Monterrey Country Club, Palm Desert. It is a gated community and Nicole owned it for over 35 years. Nicle owns a women's clothing store on El Paseo called Nicoles (what a surprise) and Robert does shows on various military exchanges.

The villa has been recently upgraded. Includes washer/dryer, dishwasher and, refrigerator.
We keep the property stocked with everything you will need, toilet tissue, soap, laundry detergent, soap for the washing machine, premium linens and towels, and a hair dryer. We do not include condiments for health reasons.
Each bedroom features it own flat screen tv with cable, there is also a flat screen with cable in the living room. High-speed wifi throughout and access to a netflix account.
Tennis, golf and the health club is currently unavailable because of COVID-19. There are very nice golf courses nearby that are available.
WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REQUIRE ALL GUESTS TO PROVIDE DRIVER'S LICENSES.
There is a beautiful swimmi ng pool with heated jacuzzi just steps away from the rear patio.
The entrance to the property is about 4 miles from IH10 and 10-20 minutes from everything you would like to do including world-class shopping, golfing and dining. Famous "El Paseo" (the Rodeo Drive of the desert) is just 5 mins away.
