Das Antler Ridge Party House & Lodge ist ein Ferienobjekt am Rande von Watkins Glen, New York, an der Südspitze des Seneca Lake im Herzen der Finger Lakes. Unser komfortables Haus verfügt über 4 Schlafzimmer, 2. 5 Bäder mit einem Schlafraum im Untergeschoss, der Platz für bis zu 8 Personen bietet.

Das Haus liegt auf einem 10 Hektar großen Grundstück, das ruhig und abgeschieden ist, mit einer großen Wrap-around-Terrasse, einer Feuerstelle mit Holz und ausreichend Parkmöglichkeiten vor Ort. Die Hauptebene verfügt über ein großes Zimmer, Esszimmer, gut ausgestattete Küche, Schlafzimmer und Vollbad, die zweite Etage verfügt über 3 Schlafzimmer und Vollbad, die untere Ebene hat ein Schlafraum, Sauna und WC. Die Unterkunft verfügt auch über Sat-TV und Klimaanlage.

Das Party House kann gegen eine zusätzliche Gebühr gemietet werden und verfügt über einen großen Barbereich, eine voll ausgestattete Küche für Caterer, einen großen Grill, einen Schweineröster und eine große Terrasse. Diese Funktionen machen es zu einem großartigen Ort für Veranstaltungen oder Partys.

Diese Unterkunft liegt nur eine kurze Fahrt vom Eingang des Watkins Glen State Park im Norden entfernt. Es ist 1,3 km vom Haupteingang des Watkins Glen State Park und 8 km vom Watkins Glen International Speedway entfernt. Wir sind auch nur eine kurze Fahrt von einigen der Seen in Finger Lakes entfernt - Seneca, Keuka, Lamoka und Waneta.

The perfect event setting!

My husband and I renewed our vows for our 25th wedding anniversary, and we used both the main house and the party house for the event. We comfortably slept 13 people in the house, and hosted about 30 people for the event itself. There was plenty of space in the party house to host the reception, and we had fires every evening with the plentiful wood that the hosts provided. Overall, this was a perfect venue for our group!!

Complete Disappointment

Disaster Recap: 1) House left open upon arrival & door did not lock. 2) Bedroom filled with some type of bugs. We killed at least twenty and they were still crawling on the walls, ceiling and draperies. 3) Lower bunkroom very damp musty smell. 4) TV service was out - Our options were to leave the house and let cable company in, waste a 4 hour window of my day and have a tech show up or go without cable and Wi-Fi for the duration of our stay. 5) Host was completely non-responsive to both myself and multiple attempts from VRBO staff. 6) Host provided two contact numbers in the property agreement, one was disconnected and the second required a code to be entered to continue. 7) VRBO provided me with an alternative number, which allowed me to reach the hosts assistant. I explained the situation and was told the host would be there shortly because he lives in the area. The host never showed up and never called even though I provided him with my cell #. Our party felt unsafe with the property not being able to be lock and did not want to leave personal belongings in the house when we were out. We were creeped out by the number of bugs in the bedroom. We called VRBO to complain and they cancelled our reservation and issued a full refund. Our party of 8 was able to find another property, which ended up much nicer than this property. Our reservations were from 10/3 - 10/7. I have yet to receive a response from the host regarding any of the issues that were raised.

We will return!

We are a group of friends/daughters ranging in age from 30 to 75. This was the 14th year for our wine tour. This house was perfect for us. The deck space was beautiful and we used it at sunrise and sunset! The only issue we had was that there was no internet or tv service. There was a router but we couldn’t get it to connect. There was Direct TV but it would not connect either. Overall, we were very happy with the house. We will return!

Zero communication from host. No Wifi or TV for full stay

We were aware the house could use some updates before even arriving. When we got to the place the door was already open and realized later we couldn't get the doors/windows locked! I reached out the first night of our stay that the tvs do not work and neither does the Wifi. It wouldn't have been as large of an issue but we did have some younger children and could have used that for their winding down time in the evenings. The family that was in one of the rooms upstairs could hear critters within the walls at night and their window didn't completely shut (along with a few others). The property did also list a washer and dryer which were not available on site. I reached out daily to the host by phone and messaging through the site and I never had 1 response until the morning of our departure, which is fully inexcusable. I did ask for a partial refund to which again has never been addressed. I will admit the location is fabulous. If they could do the necessary repairs it would be a great place.

Watkins Glen Weekend Getaway

Great location near downtown, lake and race track. House has plenty of space inside and out, with awesome property for entertaining. Would highly recommend to large groups wanting to be close to town.

Great house in a beautiful setting

Sixteen family members, including kids and a baby, stayed at the property. The house is convenient to everything on a beautiful and quiet hillside just a mile or so from town - a 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk. Some of our group actually pitched tents on the grounds, but the indoor sleeping arrangements were adequate. The kids enjoyed the downstairs bunk room. (Be aware that the bunk room sleeps 8, but 4 of the sleeping spaces are upper bunks which are a tight fit even for children.) We hope that the landlord will be able to replace missing screens on the porch, and have some window cranks repaired. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience for our family reunion.

Weekend Getaway

Overall, this property was beautiful to stay at. The location was secluded so we had our privacy and there were plenty of space and rooms for all of us. Our favorite part, was the wrap around deck and the seating area by the fire. It was a perfect weekend getaway and would recommend! There were only a couple window air conditioning units so if you plan to stay in the summer with a lot of guests make sure to pack some fans!

My stay

The property advertised air conditioning. It only had window units for 2 of the bedrooms. The first day I was there I called the property manager to check in no one called back. We felt like we were on our own. The property was not as clean as I thought it would be for a rental. I have rented VRBO houses before and I am disappointed.

Family vacation

We got there a little after 3 .There was a painter and a Gardner at the house .we couldn't get in the house because the painter was painting right at the door we had to go in .We then went in and it was very hot Julia was there putting sheets on the bed and she just turned on the AC .We went to use the gas grill and there was no propane so I called Julia and someone came up with a new tank .our grandkids were excited to sleep in the basement but after one night they couldn't handle the air fresheners down there so they slept on the couches .I think you should get milder ones for down in the basement they were very strong .we went to use the dishwasher and there was no dishwasher detergent. No biggie my daughter washed them by hand .overall we had a good family vacation. Lots of yard for the outdoor games we brought along .everyone had a good time Plenty of towels ,paper products.

Family Get Together

This was a great location for family to spend a long weekend celebrating our Dad's 80th birthday. The patio area provided an excellent space to host an outdoor dinner with plenty of room for yard games. The lodge slept 12 people comfortably and provided all the needed amenities. We really appreciated the lodge's proximity to the upper entrance to Watkins Glen State Park and enjoyed a pleasurable walk down the breath-taking gorge path then down Main Street to explore the town.

Terrible check in and communication

We checked in at 3pm, we’re given the wrong code and didn’t hear back from the owner until 9am the next morning. The only reason we got into the house was because the door wasn’t shut tight. Owner didn’t even express concern when we finally reached him. The contact number on VRBO was incorrect. The entry code doesn’t get changed between guests (VRBO stated they recommend doing this but don’t require it). Fridge broken and all of our food spoiled in 2 days. Kitchen very well stocked if you can find fresh food. Wifi didn’t work. Only 2 rolls of toilet paper provided for 12 girls for 4 days. No trash bags provided initially. Snake in the basement (it is in the woods?). Tub doesn’t drain. Garden hose left along pathway which is a trip hazard. Generally older house that clearly isn’t professionally cleaned between guests. We enjoyed our stay despite the above issues but would absolutely not ever stay again or recommend anyone staying at this or any of this owners properties. We were never provided any specific check out instructions. The stress of driving for hours then not being able to access the house after many attempts of calling and messaging was extremely frustrating and I wouldn’t want any one to ever have to go through that. Once we spoke to him about issues, his response was “speak to my secretary” and provided an alternative number that was not listed in the property or on VRBO. Even when I messaged the host 2 weeks prior to our rental date it took 4 days for him to respond.

Beautiful property

The house was perfect for our needs. The listing states that the house can sleep 16 people, and I'd agree with this is several of the guests are children. We fit 12 adults comfortably, any more would have been tight. The property and home are beautiful, and in close proximity to Watkins Glen State Park and Downtown. Only downside was the lack of internet.

BMW Genesse Valley Chapter WGI track days

We had a group of 5 drivers that came to Watkins Glen to enjoy 3 days of open track days at Watkins Glen International race track. Martin and Cheryl were extremely good at answering questions and accommodated all of our requests...and we had many. For anyone that Is planning to bring race cars and trailers to experience Watkins Glen International all do not attempt to get the trailers up to this property. It is too steep to enter with any larger trailer. The property has lots of room both inside and especially outside with multiple decks to handle large groups. Great views and the sound of the creek running through the 10 acres is soothing. Cheryl answers texts quickly. I recommend checking out this property if visiting the area.

Great place in the country

My large family absolutely loved staying here. The place is very clean and comfortable and pictures on here do not do it justice. Everyone was pleasantly surprised. Some people were thinking that it was maybe going to be more of a dusty old cabin. That is not the case at all. Cheryl, the manager of the property, is extremely nice, flexible, and communicative. We would 100% stay here again.

We are in the process of landscaping the outside boundary lines, this landscaping will not affect your visit or interfere with your stay, it is well landscaped and maintained, absolutely beautiful.

Antler Ridge Lodge sits on 10 acres of land a short distance from town. The property has a large wrap around deck, lawn area for games, lots of parking for your boat etc. and a large fire pit to sit around something you are not going to get in a in town rental.
