We are always so happy happy to hear about great guest experiences in our home. Thanks for the feedback on the pillows. Every guest has such a different feeling on what the perfect pillow is. We have tried to stock our home with a diverse set of pillows so everyone can find what they are looking for. I’ve alerted the owner in case any pillows are in need of replacement. Also, I’ve recommended a vacuum for the home as I can see how important it is to have one to tidy during the stay. The grill starter is finicky at times so we also provide a grill lighter in case the starter isn’t working that day. The listing is now updated to reflect there being no hammock. They were regularly getting ruined in storms so we’ve removed it permanently.

This beautiful Vail home is just a quick 5-minute drive from Lionshead Village and offers a clean, comfortable, and family-friendly space for a relaxing stay. This guest called the day after he booked to insist we give him a discount. He had been comparing the home to another property he felt was similar, but after looking at both properties and comparing with us, he ultimately decided this one was much larger, nicer, in a better location and had more amenities for his large family. The price never changed from what the guest was quoted on VRBO. We suspect that some of this guest's dissatisfaction is due to the lack of discount. Many people that are unfamiliar with wood burning stoves have issues getting the fireplace going. Start small to get the draft in the chimney going, otherwise the cold air in the chimney will push the warm air down, causing smoke to come into the home. Firestarter sticks are provided for guests to help "prime" the chimney. The caretaker instructed the guest to open the door to allow for ventilation and prevent smoke damage in the home. The caretaker mentioned other people having issues as a way to reassure the guest it's a common mistake and easy to fix. The caretaker has spent quite a bit of time troubleshooting and assisting guests with the fireplace. The description is clear that there is a caretaker on-site. We are sorry to see that this guest didn't fully enjoy their stay, but feel that the many other 5-star reviews speak to the quality of the home and overall experience.

This property is a unique multi-level home with bedrooms on each level and the main kitchen and living areas on the middle floor, offering both privacy and space for larger groups. We find guests can safely navigate the stairs and the small step transitions between the kitchen, living area, and deck. The home’s layout—with bedrooms on the top, middle, and lower levels—allows for flexibility and separate spaces for families or groups, while still providing easy access to the kitchen, deck, and living areas. Overall, this home provides a spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped environment for group stays, with ample attention given to both comfort and safety throughout the property.
