We’ve been honored to host many special celebrations here, from birthdays to anniversaries, and even those seeking a place of healing. Casa Playitas was inspired by my wife's dream to someday come back to her Costa Rican roots Lilliana and I have traveled and vacationed in many beautiful countries, but none captured the true essence of being one with nature like this place. Nestled between the ocean and jungle, Casa Playitas offers a constant, ever-changing picture of nature’s beauty. Completely private from but wide open to the wonders of the sea and jungle, it felt like the perfect spot to create a sanctuary of peace and joy.

Our home is special to us for many reasons. It started as a vision to reconnect with the Tico culture and live surrounded by the natural beauty of Manuel Antonio. We wanted to build a space that was both modern and simple, luxurious yet focused on bringing people closer to nature—and to each other. Casa Playitas is more than a home; it’s a place where family and friends come together to create unforgettable memories. Watching the local wildlife, incredible sunsets, seeing tour boats glide by, and catching glimpses of whales breaching during their migration seasons make every moment here magical.

Our guests often share the same sentiment: "The photos on the website don't do the home or the views justice!" Built on a steep slope, the house brings you even closer to the water, offering a unique vantage point that feels truly magical.

You’ll enjoy watching tour boats glide by several times a day and, if you're visiting during whale season, you might even spot whales fluking or spouting right from the property.

The wildlife here is extraordinary. With frequent visits from three species of monkeys, colorful toucans (three kinds!), majestic macaws flying by multiple times a day, and even sloths, the experience rivals—and often surpasses—a trip to the National Park. Guests consistently tell us they've seen more wildlife here than anywhere else!
