We’ve traveled a decent amount and this was by far the cleanest house we’ve ever rented and the service was top notch! Ricardo and Alba’s cooking was AMAZING and they are so kind and helpful for any questions you have. The property is beautiful and very well kept. Location is great as well. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks for a great stay!

Fantastic villa! Experience was the best we've ever had - from the communication, to included concierge and chef and comfort and location of the home. Meals prepared by Chef Ricardo and his wife Alba were some of the best meals we've ever eaten! Owners have thought of everything to truly make for a relaxing holiday. You won't regret staying here!

Best vacation ever! From the beginning of the process, Jackie was responsive in emails and was willing to speak on the phone to answer all of our questions. Having it be in a gate guarded community close to shops and restaurants was the best! We loved the house - it was clean and in very good shape considering it is near salt water. There were 12 of us; 3 generations and everyone had their own space. The gathering areas both inside and out were perfect with expansive views of the jungle and Pacific. Ricardo and Alba, you two are just amazing and we weren't kidding when we asked if you would come back with us to CA with us! Your meals both in quality and presentation were incredible. All the reservations we had made prior to arriving were all canceled except for your well deserved day at rest. Your food could not be beat and we loved that whatever sounded good to us, you fulfilled our wish. Thank you for putting up with the 2 and 4 year old dashing around the house with the bikes you provided them. Jackie-you have an amazing staff. The place is spotless and we rarely saw the housekeepers but they were around as our rooms were immaculate. Jessica, the concierge was very responsive and helpful with our inquiries. We loved, loved, loved our stay. Pura Vida Villa Tortuga! we hope to come back and will definitely recommend you to everyone we know headed to Manuel Antonio.

This was the vacation of a lifetime. The location was fabulous and we enjoyed a variety of activities while there for 6 days. The property is a dream (we rented the Glover suite at an additional cost—this was a reasonable add on and very worth it!). The views, comfy beds, amazing pool and deck are among the stand outs. And we won’t ever forget the caring, talented humans who took care of us—Hisolda, Ricardo, Alba and Jess. Chefs: your food lives on in our dreams!

Beautiful house, landscaping and location. Very clean and modern. I am on the pickier side when it comes to vacation rentals and I would definitely return. The chef was amazing and reduced all the stress of having to figure out nightly dinner planning.

If we could give this property and our family vacation a 20, we all agree it’s just that good. We had an amazing time, traveling with 8 adults and 2 kiddos. From Ricardo, the very talented and accommodating chef, to the staff who keep the place in tip top shape, to Jessica’s attentiveness as our personal concierge…we fell in love with Villa Tortuga and Costa Rica. This may very well be a destination we repeat for our big family vacation in the future. Thank you to all who made our week so extra special!

Villa Tortuga is a lovely property. Views are beautiful and there is lots of space to spread out, including large ones to be together. Our family of grandparents, parents and teen age kids loved the house. Chef Ricardo and his wife, Alba made incredible meals for us. The house is well situated for visiting the park, the beach and many other activities. I would highly recommend staying here.

BOOK IT!!! The photos and descriptions on paper do not do this magical place justice!! It’s absolutely breathtaking. The views, the decor, the multiple levels of living. The monkeys that visit us often in the outdoor loft. The staff is top notch. Ricardo and Alba are world treasures, the breakfasts and dinners were BEYOND! Ricardo is so accommodating and became part of our family instantly. The concierge, Jessica, was great. We gave her a list of excursions we wanted to do and told her which days we wanted “relax” days. She booked everything perfectly. Be sure to take advantage of massages on property, the spa is FABULOUS. The steam room was a nice treat too. The house is immaculately clean, we loved having our towels replaced and rooms tidied every day. It was very warm weather but the house stays just as cool/cold as you want it to be. It was a concern for me as I don’t love the heat while sleeping. We were a party of 7, (2 families that travel together every year). We all agreed that we have not had better sleep in years, I wish I could have bottled it up. Be sure to go to the beach & call “Tony”, he’s the best. He took us to Nauyaca Falls and took such great care of us, especially the kids. He also taught us to surf and reserved us beach loungers & a tent on both beach days. I could keep boasting about our 8 night stay forever but I’m running out of room. We are already planning our return! Thank you Villa Tortuga, we already miss you so much. Pura Vida!

This is a fantastic property in a fantastic location. Beautiful views, excellent staff! It is in a great location and walkable to several shops and restaurants and the bus line which is very easy to use. We used the bus every day. This property is equipped with every modern amenity imaginable. The pool is perfect with its peaceful waterfall. It has a little bit of sun and a little bit of shade. Perfect for everyone. Comfortable sleeping arrangements and every room has a clean and modern bathroom. The house is designed for large groups, but there are plenty of perfect places to retreat to for quiet time as well. A special mention to Chef Ricardo and his wife Alba! Every meal made was beyond amazing! We all probably gained 5 pounds enjoying his creations. Also, another special mention to Hisolda, the housekeeper, who was so sweet! I enjoyed meeting her and practicing my Spanish with her every day. 5 star property all the way!

Villa Tortuga was perfect for our family of 12 adults. Before we even arrived the experience was off to a great start given all the helpful information we received from Jackie and the staff. Jessica, the concierge, offered to help us plan activites. Since we were only at the villa for 3 nights and I had been to the area a couple of times prior we did not need her services but appreciated her offer to assist us. We did take full advantage of the Chef, Ricardo and his lovely wife. We made an excellent decision to utilize the Chefs skills for all of our breakfasts and dinners during our stay. We gave Ricardo general likes, dislikes and food allergy information and he made everyone happy! Great margaritas too. All of the staff made us feel welcome.Many of my family members enjoyed time in the spa so we highly recommend it for a bit of relaxation right on the property!The property itself is amazing. Best views and a wonderfully unique layout. We enjoyed being at Villa Tortuga so much that we decided to forgo our plans for visiting waterfalls the second day of our stay so we could just enjoy the villa. Plenty of monkeys entertained us so we got what we hoped for and more.The property does have a lot of stairs but for our group (up to age 70) that was not an issue. We all wished we could have stayed longer. Thanks again to everyone at Villa Tortuga!

Wonderful Family Vacation

Everything that you read in the reviews is accurate. From the beauty of location to the wonderful meals prepared by the chef. Location is excellent, close to the beach and the national park. We saw monkeys, Toucans, caught seven sailfish on our fishing trip Along with some tasty snapper that the chef prepared for us! there were 12 of us and we all said it was one of the best places we have stayed at!
