Tucked in the woods with a cove on one side, look for our resident Eagle's nest when you paddle board the cove. Rent a boat, enjoy the provided lake toys or simply sunbathe by the fire pit and the water. This is lake living at it's best. Easy parking and access to the house. Our back deck is massive for a gang to enjoy the outdoors. Don't forget the party shed - flex space for 2 additional sleeping on a comfy murphy bed, theater space, yoga space or used for corporate retreats as a great conference room. The Belmont Lake Retreat - nestled on a peninsula on Lake Wylie tucked behind a forest in Belmont, NC - you will feel removed from it all yet minutes to charming downtown Belmont for brunch, lunch or dinner if you don't want to grill on the expansive deck with incredible views. Located 20 minutes from uptown Charlotte and the airport, this retreat space offers the best of convenience and privacy. Enjoy streaming your own shows on the large flat screen smart TV (no cable so bring your passwords), the upstairs playroom or additional Party Shed with more flex space for entertaining and sleeping. Internet is provided through Starlink to ensure fast connections at all times.
Merrywood Lake Retreat offers a primary king bedroom and ensuite bathroom with walk in shower, another downstairs guest bedroom with King bed and ensuite bathroom. Upstairs you will find 3 additional bedrooms - one with a king bedroom sharing a hall bathroom with another bedroom hosting two queen bedrooms. The last bedroom upstairs has an ensuite bathroom and queen bed. Need additional space? Our Lake Shed offers convenience for additional sleeping, conference use, yoga space or bridal luncheon. Whatever your needs - this space is flexible!
No one needs to worry about running out of hot water as we installed a tankless water heater. Coming with kids - let us make it easier by providing a pack'n'play and booster high chair.
The back deck has furniture to spread out on - enjoy some wine on our new patio furniture or a dining table for 8 for al fresco meals and a view.
The large gravel parking makes it easy to unload at the house and start your vacation. access for boats and those not wanting to use the stairs.
Once on the dock, soak in the view or bring your boat to explore!. We have lake toys guests can use - 4 inflatable paddle boards that can carry up to 330 lb and a sit on top kayak, youth kayak and double kayak. We provide several variety adult life jackets and kid life jackets all with safety lake whistles. Get out and enjoy the lake. Bring your fishing poles, rent a boat for the week and have it delivered to the dock, head to the White Water Center for white water rafting.

Parking is easy - drive up and park. Parking for 6 cars easily. Please be mindful of our off-street parking and do not take neighbor's parking space or use their circular driveway.
