Great house for a large crowd

We were 15 family members from age 25-90! Everyone had their own space and plenty of areas to have quiet time. We also had a 90 th birthday celebration for our parents, With extended family visiting age 2 to 90 there was something there for everyone! The heated pool was a big hit as was ability to have pontoon boat on sight. The amenities and supplies in the home were more than expected and helpful when having a large crowd!!Would definitely stay there in the future!

Great get away for a big family. We would definitely return but summer time

My family and I stayed for three nights. The house has alot of activities the kept us indoors The kids enjoyed the pool, alittle risky for younger kids who would run to the lake. A small gate would be beneficial.

Great family vacation house!

House worked out perfectly for our group. The kids got to swim on this Christmas vacation because the owner offered to heat the pool to 95 degrees for a small fee. What a blast they had! He even put up a Christmas tree. The kitchen is very well stocked with dishes, pans, utensils, etc. and the house is large and rambling. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out and relax. We came from Boston, Cape Cod, Chicago, Ohio, Michigan, Tacoma and California to spend Christmas with our mother who lives in NC. Great communication from Steve the owner. Couldn't have had a better experience!

Magical experience

We came to celebrate my son's wedding in Belmont. The whole weekend was perfect. We loved the house so much that we decided to spend a free day just relaxing at home, rather than exploring. The house is designed for gathering together , yet everyone had their own space for privacy. The mist on the water in the mornings was lovely, the little victorian house is charming, the house was spotless and beautifully stocked.

Family reunion and surprise 85th birthday party.

We stayed at this property in order to celebrate an 85th birthday and have a family reunion. This property was perfect for everyone. There were plenty of gathering areas for everyone to be together as well as plenty of space to spread out as well. The pool was an excellent spot to hang out throughout the day and after getting back from adventures in the area. Overall I highly recommend this property.

Family Vacation

We loved our stay and were especially impressed with how well the kitchen was stocked with pans, utensils, etc. The extra refrigerator was very nice as was the ice maker in the game room. We enjoyed our time at the Villa!

Great Stay!

We enjoyed our stay at this old bed and breakfast. Plenty of comfortable beds. Our grandkids enjoyed the lake pad and swimming in the lake and the pool. We enjoyed cruising the area in the pontoon boat for the week. Communication with the owner was great - the dishwasher leaked into the downstairs bedroom. He had a repairman out and we received a new dishwasher the same day! All in all we had a great time!

2024 Family Reunion to honor parents/grandparents

Beautiful family reunion gifted to us by our parents. Cherishing old memories and creating new ones together the way our parents would have loved. The lake house was wonderful in every way. Great place for a family reunion!

We had a great time. The house was perfect for our family reunion and the boat rental just added that extra touch. We highly recommend this place for a large group as if you need some quiet alone time there is always a room or spot to go to! The ice machine worked great for our large group.

A lovely time on the lake

This beautiful home and grounds were perfect for my extended family.we loved the pool, the lake, the pontoon and everything! We ranged from 5 years up to 71 and we all loved it all. Clean with lots of room! We are planning a return trip already. Fantastic!

A wonderful property. The lake, the swimming pool, the firepit, the entertainment room, and the gazebo; all just wonderful. Our family stayed here for one week and time flew by so fast. We had myself and my husband, our 4 married children with their spouses, and 4 grandchildren, for a total of 14 people. There was room for everyone to spread out, and also equally room for all of us to gather together at the same time. The pictures on the VRBO listing do not give justice to just how big the house actually is. There are 3 refrigerators ( main house, main house laundry room, and apartment) that gave us ample space for everyone's food. There are 4 common areas with TVs for movie watching or to play your video games, plus 5 of the 7 bedrooms also have TVs. The internet is not the best, but this did not affect us as we spent most of our time outside. The house is older, but amazing. It has a lot of charm and history. The house had many items stocked that other VRBOs do not, such as: toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, dish soap, shampoo and conditioner, condiments, and seasonings and spices. There is an ice maker in the entertainment room, which was used a lot by us. There is one canoe and two kayaks, plus lots and lots of lake and pool toys. Steve is a great host; super fast in responding to our questions and also gave us suggestions on places to visit in the area. I highly recommend this VRBO to anyone for your next vacation get away.

Lots of room for a vacation with many adults and children

This is the 2nd time my wife and I, our 3 grown sons and their wives, 5 grandchildren, and our 2 sisters have stayed at this house. The house contains several sleeping areas and has a large indoor play room. The swimming pool was a big hit with the grandkids and I paid extra to heat the water due to the late-May visit. It is located close to the airport, which makes it convenient to shuttle out-of-town guests to and from the airport. The facilities are top-notch with great maintenance; everything worked properly and there wasn't any need to ask for help or to ask for a repair during our visit. All the toiletries were provided and there was no evidence of "cutting corners" on providing for the guests. Our property manager answered questions and responded to messages very quickly (within an hour) before, during, and after our stay. So I recommend this property to others and I would definitely consider coming back to this property if my sons want to meet in the Charlotte area again.

Elderly family reunion

Our group ranged from early 70's to late 80's with some physical limitations. This facility worked perfectly for us in spite of many stairs because the owner has placed esxcellent hand rails wherever they are needed. We ALL recommend this facility for comfort and cleanliness. It was a pleasure to be together in such a convivial Lakefront Villa. Please note: the description provided on the website is exactly what you will experience.

Highly recommend the Victorian Villa

We came to charlotte for the Easter holiday and my grandmothers 83rd birthday, there was a total of 16 of us including 4 kids and this house was PERFECT for our large family. Plenty of space for every one to not feel on top of each other, lots for the kids to do. The pool was beautiful and the location was great. Close enough to get what u need with a 10 minute drive by quietly located outside the city.

Great Place to Stay!

This house is perfect for a large group. We had 6 couples and we each had our own room and plenty of privacy. The pool was amazing and we had so much fun on the pontoon boat! The house was very clean and the host was awesome! If you are looking for a place to stay near Charlotte, rent this house!

Left unoccupied for over 3 years, this Victorian bed and breakfast had gone from charming to eye sore. In 2017, we stumbled across this property and fell in love with it's quirky architecture. Once we learned that it had formerly been an award winning wedding venue and B&B, we knew we could save this house and allow generations of families to continue making memories at the lake.
