This has been the fourth year that my wife & I have stayed at this property. If you like to have a private, comfortable place to wind down after a long day of vacationing this fits the bill. If you want to spend some quality time with your partner, this also a great for that. We definitely want to come back again.

We had a beautiful weekend at the Barn. We enjoyed every moment of our stay. Communication was excellent from the beginning to the end. Susan sent several documents that explained everything and made the planning, check-in, check-out and expectations very clear. There was homemade banana bread waiting when we arrived and it was excellent. The Barn was very clean and well-stocked. The area is beautiful. Close distance to everything we wanted to enjoy. The home and outdoor space is very peaceful and relaxing. We cannot wait to return! Thank you!

We enjoyed a peaceful stay at the barn. We were welcomed with a variety of snacks and a handwritten note, which was a pleasant surprise. We enjoyed the outdoor fire pit. There were numerous birds and dragonflies and very few bugs. We saw deer and a rabbit during our stay. We took the Golden Eagle Ferry to St, Charles, MO where we visited the Lewis & Clark Boat House & Museum. We had a nice lunch at Big A’s on Main St. We also enjoyed the soda museum & arcade. Susan was a delightful host and her home was filled with many extras (spices, condiments, extra towels, puzzles, games, etc) that made our stay all the more pleasant.

This is such a magnificent barn in the middle of beautiful land. We had so much fun relaxing with friends while visiting Grafton and St. Charles, MO. We had never ridden in a Ferry but we did it multiple times. Susan was such a gracious host and left us amazing banana bread. What a beautiful home. We would definitely stay here again!

This was our second time staying at The Barn and it was as nice as the first time. When we went upstairs we found a note Susan left for us along with homemade banana bread (truly delicious) and other snacks. The Barn is very comfortable, whether cooking a meal in the fully furnished kitchen, relaxing with a book on a comfortable chair, or playing a game in the Man Cave. As for the outside, the views are awesome from the deck or patio, with plenty of wildlife to see. One of our favorites is the hot tub, in the mornings we watched the sunrises, and after dark you can see a sky full of stars. The Barn is close to many attractions, and the Brussels ferry (no charge) gets you over to Grafton for all the attractions they have. We took the Skytour up to Aeries Winery for lunch, then rode their Alpine Coaster before taking the Skytour back down. Susan and Mike are great hosts and have a hidden gem for anyone looking for a wonderful home to get away from the busy life and have a chance to relax. Thank you for everything, we're looking forward to our next visit!

This is the most serene, relaxing vacation home we’ve been to. Pictures don’t do it justice. Red & White store…excellent meat! Stop at the small farm stores for the juiciest peaches and fresh corn! Hop the free ferry to Grafton for dinner and cocktails on the water. Explore the whole area. We took soooooo many pictures. Excellent choice when wanting to disconnect for a weekend. Thank you both for sharing your home with us!

The Barn was fabulous! Clean & the best stocked place we’ve ever stayed! The views were beautiful! Quite the whole stay! We enjoyed the hot tub & the billiards table! Grilling was even fun with the views! Definitely will recommend to family & friends & thx for the banana bread & chips

This was the perfect quiet retreat for my husband and I. The property was set perfectly in the rolling hills. It was so tranquil and fully recharged our batteries!!! The hot tub was perfect for after a little grill out. The home was so cute too and even was left a little loaf of banana bread!

This place is a dream!!! So quiet all you can hear is the birds. Deer walking in the back yard the whole time, it's so surreal. Extremely clean and kept up on. Susan makes the best Banana Bread, she left us some in the freezer. The hot tub was the cleanest I've ever seen one before. We enjoyed spending time in that the whole trip. Extremely close to the Mississippi River and ferries. Everyone around here seems nice and peaceful just like explained in the reservation.All around if you want something peaceful, clean, relaxing and affordable, get this place. We will definitely be back on the future!

This house had one of the best appointed kitchens I’ve seen in a rental. The house is also great to just chill. One day we just stayed on site, hot tubbing and eating in. Very relaxing.

This is our 3rd time staying at the Red Barn. We love the remote location that is still very easy to get to from St. Charles County. Always a nice relaxing weekend with plenty to do from the pool table, to the fire pit or the hot tub.
