Grafton Getaway - Riverhouse is the sister property to Grafton Getaway - Farm (23 acres with private fishing and wooded walking trail) and Grafton Getaway - Cabin (2 acres with kids obstacle course) and includes amenities you enjoy at all locations:
*bicycles for guest use, BBQ grill, classic record player
*hammocks and swings and a putting green
*complimentary coffee, tea, and hot chocolate in the full kitchen
*fire - electric, two gas pits, traditional pit with free firewood
*foosball, family games, and Kids Zone outbuilding for the little ones
*free fiber WiFi, free naps, rocking chairs, and frisbee golf

The Great River Road bicycle trail runs through the backyard of the property. Drifters restaurant located next door for easy carry out. Binoculars available for you to watch eagles, gulls, and pelicans or river boats and barges. Smart TV on each of the three levels for rainy days. Make yourself at home in this 2,000 square foot Guesthouse located right on the riverfront. Staggered pricing means 2 guests pay less than 12 guests and the rate rises by $25 per person per night starting with the 4th guest (this is calculated by the app when you input your guest count).

Guests at hotels call the front desk when they need something...so if ever during a stay you feel your satisfaction is not at a 5-star level please call/text us right away, while you are still with us, so we can remedy the situation and make your stay all you hoped it would be.

Perfect for our extended family group with young children. Awesome play room for kids and adults. It also worked well for us as we had a couple of sensitive sleepers needing quiet. Walkable to restaurants and activities while still providing privacy and great views. There is an extra building with beds which we didn’t need and plenty of room for a campfire and outdoor games.

Great Getaway

This location was perfect for our vacation with our two dogs. The path behind the house was great for morning walks. The property had all the amenities you could ask for. The view from the deck was great and we could watch the boats on the river. We had rainy weather one afternoon and enjoyed the game room. We would definitely visit again!

Grafton trip

The property sits right near the Mississippi River/Illinois River confluence. There is a nice, paved walking/biking trail right behind the house. From the very large deck, we had a pretty view at all times. The are restaurants all along the streets of Grafton. Our host was most accommodating and responsive to our questions and feedback. Great property and location

My wife and I visited the Grafton Getaway Riverhouse to hike with our dogs at the nearby state park, enjoy the autumn leaves, and be close to the river. The house was fantastic - tons of character, a well-equipped kitchen (we like to cook when traveling), and great river views. We had one rainy day, and benefitted from the well-equipped recreation room on the ground floor. Bird watching - pelicans, woodpeckers - off the front deck was really nice. The restaurant next door is convenient, but we had no noise issues or other disruptions from the proximity to businesses. Great place, as good as advertised.

The Grafton Getaway Home was great for the 9 ladies who stayed here for one night. We were able to spread out, eat, drink, play cards and have fun in this cute home on a beautiful site right on the Mississippi River! We enjoyed the many places to gather. There are a lot of stairs in the house and on the outdoor patio, but we loved the comfort and charm of this nice property.

Wedding in Grafton

Our nephew got married at Pere Marquette and the whole family (8 aunts & uncles with their kids) came to town. I reserved this house for 10 but 24 came for dinner the evening before the wedding! It was wonderful! The kids played in the game room and rode the bikes along the river front while the adults caught up. We watched the full moon rise sitting around a fire. Perfect stay!

Perfect for a girls getaway

The house worked perfectly for our group of 6 to get together and have fun in Grafton. Easily walkable to restaurants and bars — but there’s plenty to do (or lots of places to sit and relax) at the house. Deck, fire pit, game room, kitchen… we took advantage of all of the spaces. Annual Guys Trip

5 of us got together here as it was the middle point for each of us as we are spread out. The place was perfect for us. We enjoyed the lower level for playing board games and hanging out and the pizza next door was pretty good for a semi rural area. 80th birthday celebration

We met half way between Kansas City and Chicago for my mom's 80th birthday. The house was perfect for us. There are a lot of skinny stairs, but luckily, my parents are in great shape. We enjoyed watching the barges go up and down the river. The house could use a little more comfortable seating for the cold winter days that we were there, but beautiful setting no matter what the weather. The host had set up the house with lots of labeling for ease of stay and lots of small amenities (like shampoo) that many other VRBOs don't have. The host checked in with me by phone early into our stay to make sure all was good. The house had a great space on the main floor with lots of games, music and beautiful windows facing the river. We easily walked the river path into town to wineries (even though it was only 15 degrees). Overall, we had a great stay with ease of stay and would definitely stay again.

We enjoyed our two day get away at the Grafton River House. There were only two of us but the place is spacious enough to host a good size group. The scenery from the outside deck is very nice and there are a lot of activities to choose from on the property.

Winter Escape

Three friends, enjoyed the ambiance of Grafton in the Riverfront Get Away. We each had our own room and bathroom, a great view, and lots of games to pass the time after our dinner. Will definitely promote this property to friends and family. This residence could EASILY accommodate 6 couples without sharing a bedroom. Lots of games and things to do. Perfect location and property for a family vacation.

Thanksgiving on the River!

What a wonderful place Getaway! We absolutely loved our time at the Riverhouse. Everything we needed was supplied, and every time we thought we didn't have something, like skewers for roasting marshmallows in the fire pit, we found them laid out for us! Brandon was extremely responsive to our needs, I we enjoyed every game played, record listened to, bird watched and especially the beautiful sunsets off the water! Very relaxing place to stay!

Girl Fun Get-away

This property was really fun for our group. We were looking for a place with a variety of fun activities that would be enjoyed by all. Biking, hiking, walks, playing games, wineries and just sitting around on the deck reminiscing about old times. The house was comfortable, clean and well stocked. Jeff was a great host. This home caught my eye from the moment I came to Grafton. It's on the edge of town with possibly the best water views in all of Grafton. The glass overhead door and open lower level make for fabulous hosting opportunities and it's hard to beat grabbing a bicycle or grabbing running shoes or grabbing a pet leash and taking a few steps to the paved trail which goes for miles in both directions.
