Im Herzen von Cajun Country gelegen, sind Sie nur wenige Kilometer von der weltberühmten Tabasco-Fabrik in Avery Island, vielen Festivals und der malerischen Innenstadt von New Iberia entfernt. Dieses Cottage ist eine renovierte Zuckerrohr-Farm, die zu Beginn des 20. Jahrhunderts erbaut wurde. The cottage was exceptional!!!! We absolutely adored the property!! Just wished there was a full kitchen because I love to cook. But overall, I totally adored the spot. The property surroundings were breathtaking!!!! My husband was able to fish while I sat and observed from a screened in back porch. The views are gorgeous and we were able to come and go without disturbing the hosts. We will be returning for a short weekend getaway in the near future. Thanks to Nancy and Edward for sharing their beautiful property!!!!

Exactly what we wanted, a quite, peaceful weekend to just relax and enjoy.

Very plush, well taken care of property. Beautiful setting on Bayou Teche. The Cabin itself was perfect , it had everything we needed to make ourselves at home.

Unique country cottage by the river

This cottage is very unique, well furnished and really peaceful. The place is amazing with a beautiful view from a nice covered patio and a deck with a table and chairs over the lawn.

Beautiful Spot

I booked last minute, and the owners were kind enough to accommodate me. The cabin is absolutely beautiful, spotlessly clean with thoughtful touches that made it feel extra special. As a solo female traveler, I felt completely safe and at ease, which means a lot. It’s right on the bayou with a lovely little view, and the directions were clear and helpful, including exactly where to park. I spent a peaceful evening relaxing on the back porch and couldn’t have asked for a better stay. I’ll definitely be back!

Peaceful Retreat

This place was everything we were looking for. We wanted a quite place on to use as a resting place as we went to various activities around the area. When we were there, it was very peaceful to sit on the patio and relax. The place was clean and quite and just a cozy retreat.

Our stay was wonderful. The location was very rural which made it very quiet and peaceful. The view from the screened area in the rear of the river was relaxing (and bug free). Glasses and plates were plentiful. Short on eating utensils. Just grab some plastic with a carryout meals. The pictures of the inside and outside was exact. Very clean and well maintained. Tranquil Bayou Vibes

Sipping coffee early in the morning while sitting on the screened porch watching the bayou wake up is an indescribable wonder. This was our second trip and we will definitely be back when we need some peace and tranquillity.

A wonderful place to get away and relax.

The whole property is very well taken care of. Everything was taken care of prior to our arrival, but we had the pleasure of meeting Mr. & Mrs. Duhe upon arrival, oh and Otis too.. The cabin was clean and prepared for our stay, nicely decorated and comfortable. My favorite spot is the shared/community screened in porch. Hopefully next time we visit our friends in New Iberia we are able to stay here again.

Lovely property with nothing missing! From pristine condition to atmosphere!

Sweet and cozy. This cottage is a wonderful place. The location on the river gives serenity necessary for any stay. The charm of the property depicts the southern comfort indicative of South Louisiana. I regret not allowing more time for the screened back porch. I will put this property on my frequent list when visiting family.

Excellence

This is a brilliant property created by someone with an innate sense of style. The accommodations are beautiful and the property sublime. The owners have obviously poured a lot of love into creating a uniquely Louisiana experience which is very much appreciated. Acknowledgement of our request to stay was immediate and was followed by careful instructions for finding the place along with a promise to help with any needs. However, the place has been prepared with such care that there's nothing needed. Since Louisiana in August can be a bit warm, we've spent most of our stay on the screened-in back porch watching the bayou under the cool breeze of ceiling fans. It's quiet, peaceful, relaxing and absolutely exceeds our expectations. This morning we watched the sun rise from the porch while enjoying coffee and listening to a light rain on the tin roof. Very, very well done.

Bayou Perfection

We were in the area for a family reunion and wished to stay on the bayou where my guy’s 97 year old mother grew up. How fortunate that we found the perfect place to experience the bayou Dot te’ still loves today. It was a wonderfully relaxing time and the host was extremely accommodating. We will surely stay again the next time we visit the area.

Great getaway place

Great property, easy check-in, exactly as described. Wife and I got away to see Avery Island and wanted a neat little place to stay and we found it in this VRBO. We're already talking to other family members about returning and renting both units - the patio is shared by both units and to our delight the other group was so nice and hospitable that we enjoyed their company immensely. All in all, a great place and we wouldn't hesitate staying here again.
