Der Heuboden ist ein gemütliches und romantisches Refugium nur zwei Meilen vom Zentrum von Mendocino. Warm und einladend, und mit Stil und Komfort eingerichtet. Die Hayloft Suite befindet sich im reizvollen und geheimnisvollen Pygmy-Wald. Sie ist ein Gästehaus für ein Haupthaus, aber dennoch privat, ruhig und friedlich.

Das Wohnzimmer ist mit einem Ledersofa, einem Liegestuhl, einem Kamin und einem Entertainment-Center ausgestattet. Es gibt einen Essbereich, eine Küche und im Open-Space-Stil, das Schlafzimmer ist "halb zugemauert" Blick auf den Kamin und Fernseher zu ermöglichen. Beautiful and peaceful retreat.

We loved this place, from the layout and kitchen (we cooked every night but one) to the bed and linens - and especially, the view from the hot tub! It is a perfect location - on the same road as Ravens restaurant, rolling distance to the downtown village but far enough from highway 1 that it's silent. We enjoyed canoeing in an outrigger from Catch-A-Canoe down the road on Big River, the Mendocino Headlands and the Fort Bragg bluffs! This was one of the most relaxing and serene vacations I can remember.

love this place, we rent it almost every year

Cozy hideaway

My wife and I enjoyed our week at the Hayloft. It is located a short drive from Mendocino, but back in the woods--very private and quiet. The place is very clean and well-appointed. Check-in and check-out was super easy. And we loved the outdoor hot tub! That said, the bathroom is small--not much counter space to put things on. More significantly, the unit could use another couple of lamps in the sitting area for reading. Also, the outdoor stairs leading to the front door should be better lit. If there's a motion sensor on that light, it isn't working. Still, a lovely place to stay overall.

Welcomed to fresh flowers, really nicely folded (like origami) towels and toilet paper, some complimentary whiskey in a glass bottle. Place was clean and comfortable - nice bedding and comfy bed. The kitchen items are minimal but we didn’t cook there so not an issue. Hot tub was perfect size for two. They did stress not changing the temp the tub is set to but it was set to 97 when we got there so we turned it up. They also stressed to put straps on after each use but straps were broken. Light for hot tub was also not working but not needed. The moon was bright. Shower is small but does the job. All in all, we enjoyed the stay!

Great retreat!

Perfect location, close to Mendocino, beaches and trails. Lovely, secluded spot that’s perfect for a get-away weekend. Hot tub was great for soaks at night, although it wasn’t heated yet on the first night and the chlorine balance was off and it ended up dying my swimsuit :( Other than that, would highly recommend.

Lovely relaxing stay in the forest

We had a great stay at the Hayloft. Communication and check-in were smooth and easy, and the living and sleeping spaces were cozy and comfy. We were close to Mendocino and Fort Bragg, yet far enough away to have quiet and privacy. We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub, too!

Reviewer Comments: We loved everything abut our time at the hayloft. it was near enough to everything we wanted to see and do and far enough away to feel like we were really "away from it all." The place was ideal - clean and comfortable. We didn't have any issues with the mattress like previous visitors mentioned so maybe they replaced it. The shower was small but by non means inconveniently so. The WIFI worked well as did the TV and DVD player once we figured out the instructions were for different brands than the one s there, but that wasn't something we either needed or used more than once. The hot tub was everything we expected. We will definitely be back.
