The Garden Cottage was a fabulous place for us to stay and celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. Everything about this secluded spot was exquisite. the hot tub, the yard with two separate patio tables and the beauty of Mendocino.We will definitely return!

Once again, our family had a magical weekend at this beautiful property. The place is spotless, warm, and beautifully decorated. It has a special quality I can't quite put into words. Sitting in the back yard having coffee and enjoying the lovely yard and incredible view is by far one of the best experiences you can have in life. We will be back!! Love this cottage and I love the kind and wonderful hosts.

What a delightful rustic cabin with all the amenities you need. Absolutely lovely. If you don’t like rustic I think you’d be surprised. Short walk town, to the shore and sea views from the cabin and decks. Just loved it. And Ron, the host, was very responsive.We’d stay here again!

This was the second time we stayed at Ron's delightful property in Mendocino village. We love its uniqueness (there is nowhere else like it!) and the privacy that it offers, as well as its location in the village. We can park the car and walk everywhere. The ocean view is lovely and everything is comfortable and well-stocked, from the kitchen to the bedrooms and bathroom. And Mendocino village itself is delightful, a special place for us where we stayed for our honeymoon 41 years ago. Thanks, Ron, for a great stay...and for being such a great host!

We love Ron's place..... Funky and fun..... feels like the real Mendocino.... before it was "discovered".... Very quiet... the view from the downhill deck can't be topped for beauty and peace... "a loaf of bread, a glass of wine and thou beside me singing in the wilderness..." ..... (bring your own "thou")

The location of the cottage is perfect! It was wonderful to be able to walk just a couple blocks to the ocean and a few blocks to the restaurants and shops in town. The landscaping is beautiful, the view from the lower deck is amazing, and we loved the hot tub! We had a great stay.

Perfect stay in perfect place. Lots of yard for dog. Close to coastal trails and views. Clean hot tub with outdoor shower! Nice to be in town. It’s an old funky place with lots of niches and decorated with eclectic mendo finds. Fun to explore. Slept well!.

The entire experience was fantastic. Parking was easy and clear to understand. The property was well-kept despite the age. Loved all the little well thought-out details. Great access to local restaurants and everything was within walking distance. The property offered a lot of privacy as well, being fenced in all around. Good lighting at nighttime. Ocean views and the hot tub was a well appreciated luxury. The caretaker was communicative via SMS and provided detailed instructions that weren't overly restrictive or anything. Overall impression is that there was so much this property had to offer that we will be coming back with a larger group next time. It was plenty big enough for 2 and would definitely be adequate for a longer stay than the short weekend getaway we did

Nice place that's an easy walk to everything. Backyard area is super neat. Interesting setup with the bedrooms and bathrooms in one building and the kitchen and living spaces are in an adjacent building across a small walkway. Worked out well for what we needed. Check-in and check-out details in the listing on VRBO would be appreciated. Would recommend!

I’ve traveled to Mendocino several times, and this was far and away my favorite spot. Amazing location, authentic, perfect. Love that kitchen & living are in adjacent building. A few minutes walk to everything. Can’t wait to return!
