Ein Gearasdan wurde 2007 nach höchsten Standards komplett renoviert und im folgenden Jahr mit dem renommierten RIAS Award ausgezeichnet, auf den die Eigentümer zu Recht stolz sind. Das Haus bietet bequem Platz für 8/10 Personen - es ist groß genug für 2 Familien oder eine große Gruppe von Freunden. Es ist mit modernen Möbeln eingerichtet und frisch dekoriert. Unten Unterkunft besteht aus einer großen Garderobe, Hauswirtschaftsraum mit Waschmaschine, Trockner, Kühlschrank mit Gefrierfach, eine w. c und Duschraum. Aus dem Flur führen 4 Doppelzimmer (zwei mit zwei Einzelbetten, eines mit einem Kingsize-Bett und eines mit einem Superking-Bett) (eines mit Bad), ein Familien-Duschraum und eine separate TV-Lounge mit einem kleinen Doppelschlafsofa. Im Obergeschoss befindet sich eine helle und offene Küche mit großem Kühlschrank, Backofen und Mikrowelle. Es gibt eine gut sortierte Bibliothek mit interessanten Büchern und Familienspielen sowie einen Esstisch für 10 Personen. Drei große Sofas umgeben einen modernen Holzofen von Jotul. Das Haus bietet allen Komfort, um Ihren Urlaub zu vervollständigen.

9 wunderschöne Tage in Glenelg

Wir haben die 9 Tage in dem gut ausgestatteten Haus genossen. Insbesondere die geräumige Küche und das große Wohn- Esszimmer mit dem Kamin haben uns überzeugt. Die Lage für Besuche auf der Isle of Skye ist gut, da man die Fähre nutzen kann. Die Umgebung ist wunderschön um kleine oder auch größerer Wanderungen zu unternehmen. Auch die Nähe eines Pubs in Fussentfernung hat uns sehr gefallen. Kleinere Einkäufe kann man in Dorfshop erledigen. Größere Einkäufe müssen gut geplant sein, da man ca. 9 Meilen auf einer single track road unterwegs ist, bevor man die Hauptstrasse erreicht.

Beautiful view at Glenelg

It is a wonderful house for holidays with 8 people. Furniture and cleaness are in a high standard and we felt very comfortable during our week in Glenelg. Exspecially the GlenelgInn and the possibility to hike in the mountains around the village are really good. We felt close to nature because of little rabbits in the garden and seals in the sea. The location ist ideal to visit Isle of Skye with ferry. We gently will come back.

Stunning location and a great house for a group of family and friends

Great beach walks and trips over to Skye on the Ferry. A lovely shop and pub in the village - and even a nearby brewery, which we visited a few times too. Plenty of Cycling/ paddle boarding done - and loads of wildlife to see. We will definitely go back.

My family and I spent 5 nights at this beautiful house.The location is lovely with amazing views across to Isle of Skye.From booking to check in the experience was good as the host responded to messages quickly through the website. Facilities within the property are good with lots of extras for families with small children The village itself has a small shop and a local pub. I would highly recommend having dinner at the pub, food is really good.Ferry trip over to Skye was also a really interesting experience.

Another Wonderful Stay

We love this property. It is a great space for sharing with family and friends. Fabulous views over to Skye and close to the pub. What more can you want ? Great facilities. Laundry room and a huge boot room at the entrance so plenty of room for jackets and walking boots etc. Four good size bedrooms and a downstairs lounge. Upstairs is such a wonderful space and it really makes the property a great place to be. Good communication with the owner which always helps.

Friends accommodation for wedding

We booked this house for our friends and then our family to stay in for our wedding in Glenelg. Everyone was really happy with the accommodation and facilities. The views are incredible and the things provided are very thoughtful and give you everything you need for a stay in the area.

We have stayed in An Gearasdan on a number of occasions and have been visiting Glenelg for over 24 years. The property is lovely, very well set out and perfect for groups and a couple of dogs. The view down the sound is spectacular and the locals are lovely. We cannot fault the house or location and hope to return for many more years.

A very welcome break

Our fourth stay here and we just love it. The scenery and tranquility is fantastic. The house itself offers everything we could need and the local pub is so close. We did some paddle boarding this year which was new to some of us. Apart from that we did some walking, geo-cashing -again, new for some of us - and general lazing about. Another great week and next year to look forward to !

The property is perfectly situated in the wonderful village of Glenelg. Well fitted out with all your needs covered . My only suggestion would be a 4 slot toaster, not 2 , considering the property sleeps 8! Wonderful upside down house, amazing views and a wonderful living space icorporating, kitchen, dining and lounge with lovely log burner. Ample parking and amazing boot room keeping all coats, boits, rucksacks etc out of the way. Thank you

Amazing Location

The property is in a beautiful location overlooking the Isle of Skye. Check in process was easy and communication with the host was very good. Our queries were answered quickly and they were able to accommodate our stay to fit in with our tour of Scotland. There were a couple of issues whilst we were there but we communicated with the host over these and Kay was quick to come back to us. We wanted the first leg of our holiday to be somewhere remote and this is most definitely it. The village shop and the Glenelg Inn are very useful village amenities as the closest Coop is a 40 minute drive. Amazingly peaceful and relaxing!

Lovely holiday

Glenelg is a beautiful place and the house is situated in a very tranquil spot overlooking Skye. The upstairs of the house is beautiful, great set up, well equipped kitchen and lots of games and books for the family. Kay was great to deal with and very quick to reply which was appreciated. Highlights for us; Sea kayaking in Plockton Pony trekking in Glenshiel Mam Ratagan Also coming back to the beautiful house after a long walk was great- the fire stick in the telly worked really well as did the wifi. Only things I would highlight are we found the sliding doors downstairs difficult to open (some blinds do not stay up) and the bedroom level could maybe use a wee freshen up (some stains on carpet in ensuite etc). Just small things which didn’t spoil the stay at all but maybe things to do in quieter periods. We would definitely return though- it is a very special place.

Beautiful house, fantastic location, 200 yards to a Wonderful pub that serves the most fantastic food ! Even the weather didn’t let us down What more could we ask for? That the house was cleaned before we arrived! Thick dust to all the roof supports, cobwebs on the toaster! A Wonderful Week Away

This was our third time at An Gearasdan. We find the house to be ideal for housing us and all the kids who are now grown up. The house has everything you could possibly need for a week away. The kitchen is well equipped with various sizes of pans, bowls etc., lots of cutlery as well as food mixer, coffee maker, roasting tins etc. A short stroll to the pub for a lovely meal and the beach is close by for picnics.

Parfaite location jusqu'au 8 personnes

Emplacement éloigné de 20 minutes des grands axes, mais dans un environnement splendide. Trois chambres formidables pour couples, la quatrième bien pour 2 enfants (moins de vue). En cas de mauvais temps, le cheminée est un must !!
