FIVE STARS Anyway… As the property manager I strive to go above and beyond to assure that every guest has a pleasant stay with us from the moment they arrive, and until their departure. I feel this was the case with our last guests who gave a three-star rating. • First, they asked if they could get an earlier check-in time and as a courtesy, I scheduled their check in time for 12:00 noon versus that evening which granted them a 4 hour early check-in time. • Secondly, on the day of their arrival they came at 8:30 am not 12:00 noon to our surprise and we accommodated them with open arms. • Finally, on the day of their departure they texted asking if they could have a later check-out time. I explained that we could not due to another guest arriving, but as a courtesy they were welcome to stay in the main house and check out at their desired time because our cleaning crew needed to prepare the place for the next guest. The *main house is just as lovely as the guesthouse with four bedrooms, three bathrooms, and amenities. They refused however, stating “They paid to stay in the guesthouse,” and of course that is their preference, so they departed at their original check out time of 11:00 am. As anyone can see I went above and beyond to accommodate them, but sometimes no matter what you do to accommodate someone it may never be enough…that’s why I say, “We deserved FIVE STARS anyway… *Note: The main house is a Crash Pad for some Pilots. It is used when they have a layover which can be 2 hours or up to 24 hours. When our pilots come, they come to rest until their next departure but that particular day there were no pilots there, and that is why I extended the main house to them as a courtesy.
