La Petite Cachette ist ein komplett restauriertes, historisches Privathaus, das im National Register of Historic Places aufgeführt ist.

Das Gästequartier befindet sich im historischen Wohnviertel. Nur wenige Blocks entfernt befindet sich der "Depot District". Diese Depot-Bereich war die Website der vor Ort 1965 Dreharbeiten zu "This Property Is Condemned" - eine Liebesgeschichte im Jahr 1930 Dodson, Mississippi mit Natalie Wood und Robert Redford gesetzt.

Das Guest Quarters verfügt über einen offenen Wohnbereich mit einem Schlafsofa, eine Küche mit Gegenleiste für Casual Dining und Esstisch für 4 Personen.

Es verfügt über eine voll ausgestattete Küche: Geschirr für 8, rostfreies Besteck für 8, Kochutensilien, Kochgeschirr und Geschirr. Es gibt einen Kühlschrank, Gasherd, Geschirrspüler, Mikrowelle und Waschmaschine / Trockner. Kleine Geräte gehören Kaffeemaschine, Toaster, Crockpot.

Es gibt einen Schreibtisch mit ausgezeichneter Beleuchtung und Wi-Fi-Zugang, ein Flatscreen-TV mit erweiterten Kabelkanälen, ein DVD-Player und ein Alarm- / Sicherheitssystem sind enthalten. Spiele, Puzzles und DVDs stehen zur Verfügung.

Das Schlafzimmer hat ein Queen-Size-Bett mit großen Schränken. Es gibt eine Sicherheitsleiter im Schrank für einen Notfall.

Das Badezimmer hat eine Dusche / Wanne-Kombination. Es gibt einen privaten Wasserkeller im Bad.

Der Balkon mit Blick auf den Pool ist perfekt für Morgenkaffee oder ein abendliches Getränk. Die französischen Türen und viele Fenster geben einladende Ansichten rund um. Die Gästequartiere sind fast wie in einem Baumhaus.

Es gibt 4 Fahrräder unter dem Carport für die Gäste während ihres Aufenthalts zu benutzen.

* Bitte beachten Sie, dass dies "The Guest Quarters" (VRBO # 472872) ist und es gibt auch eine weitere Unterkunft im Erdgeschoss "Haupthaus" (VRBO # 489053) separat aufgeführt. A very comfortable & adorable antique place to stay, in a quite neighborhood within walking distance to the beach. It was a joy to have bikes to use to ride into town for breakfast or to the gulf for beautiful sunsets. The private pool was a bit cool but very refreshing on a hot afternoon.The kitchen could use a non-stick fry pan but other than that, everything was there & the place was spotless!

The stay was good. Very quiet neighborhood. Did not get a chance to use pool but very nice. Kitchen fully stocked with necessary dishes. Bathroom big! Only downfall for me personally is the stairs to it and step up to get into bathroom. Also living room furniture not that comfortable.

Amazing Guest House

This place was like staying at a friends home. The furnishings and finishes were amazing and the location was very private. Having bikes was a plus, once we parked we did not need our car the entire stay. Highly recommend!

Bay St.Louis Historic Cottage

The owners are very nice,helpful and friendly! My sister and I had a wonderful stay.I love the historic feel of the house.The house was very clean and had everything you need! We were close to the quaint shops and restaurants and to the beach! We also loved having our own pool to relax! The pictures really reflect the way the cottage appears!

Relaxing weekend

The little guest house was very charming and cozy. Perfect for a weekend getaway. The owner Mary Jane was so pleasant to work with. Loved the way she took the time and gave us a welcome call. Wish we could have spent more time there but we will definitely be back.

Spectacularly Relaxing

My husband and I stayed here over Memorial Day weekend. From start to finish it was a great stay. We loved being able to bike around Bay St. Louis. The house and grounds provided a restful and serene space for us to unwind and relax. Every detail was considered by the owners down to the great furnishings, linens and soaps. We are already planning our next weekend escape!

This was perfect for two people. It was a short walk to a pretty white sand beach with no crowds. We basically had the beach to ourselves late May early June. The upstairs apartment had a little deck overlooking a beautiful back yard and pool. All the trees made it feel secluded.

Peaceful retreat in the trees

The cottage was beautifully furnished, clean and well equipped. The French doors and floor to ceiling windows create lovely views into the surrounding trees and the pool. I saw an abundance of resident birds, a family of osprey and quite a few migratory songbirds without taking a step outside! Communication with the owners was excellent.

Adorable & private

We rented the guest quarters for extended family while we stayed in the main house below. This adorable apartment was perfect for our family who came to visit from New Orleans and join our little vacation in BSL. It allowed them privacy when needed but we could all be together for meals, games and family fun time. The apartment provided everything you would need and more. Just pack a bag and you feel right at home. Pool was a blessing during the hot July weather!

Lovely, Well Cared for Cottage

Our stay in this lovely cottage was very enjoyable and relaxing. My husband and I stayed in the upstairs apartment and my daughter and her family stayed downstairs. The house was large enough for all of us to have our own space. It was beautifully decorated and yet very comfortable. The entire property was clean and very well cared for. We all enjoyed the pool and my daughter and her children loved being able to ride the bikes into town for coffee and sweets. Mary Ellen is a wonderful host and is always ready to help.

Would stay here again.

Mary Ellen was an excellent hostess. Upon arrival, there was a lack of communication from her assistant upon how to access the property however, a quick phone call to Mary Ellen and we had all the information we needed to access the unit. This apartment is large enough for two people and we were pleasantly surprised at just how large it is. We were in town for business and found the internet service to be reliable. The downfall about this property is the bed. It's a full-sized bed so if you are expecting a queen or king, keep this in mind. Also, when we took hot showers, the smoke alarm went off due to the steam. Those were the only drawbacks and while we're accustomed to a king-sized bed, we made the best of it and still enjoyed our stay. The property is very well-maintained and was very clean upon our arrival. My husband and I both agree that we would enjoy staying here again.

Total Package

Our group included 2 adult couples for a 3-week stay. Renting both the upstairs guest house and main house provided us with lots of space, privacy, and the entire property just for us. We really enjoyed breakfasts and dinners cooked in, the grills, and the pool. Super location in quiet neighborhood near to everything - shopping, restaurants, grocery, beaches, and New Orleans. The guest quarters is much more spacious than pictures show. Mary Ellen had great communication and made us all feel welcome. Highly recommend!

Their interest in developing property was born after Hurricane Katrina when they purchased a 126 year old creole cottage in Bay St. Louis, MS . They completely restored this historical "Biloxi Cottage" (1 of two left on coast). The Creole Cottage was placed on the National Register of Historic Properties.

It is now the flag ship of our small portfolio of restored luxury properties. Mary Ellen and Bob each contribute to the success of the rentals. Mary Ellen manages the varied properties and gives the guests a special local experience. Bob grew up in Waveland, MS & attended St. Stanislaus College in Bay St. Louis. Mary Ellen and Bob's knowledge and lifelong ties to the area and the people gives our guests a true local experience.

They share a special experience that reveals the "old world" charm, the natural beauty, and unique culture of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. After one visit we hope that our guests will appreciate this beautiful coastal area as much as we do. We welcome you to the Guest Quarters.

'La Petite Cachette' is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This is a special property that seamlessly blends the history of a past lifestyle with the modern luxury of today. The 'barge board' bookshelves and hardwood floors are incorporated with the modern luxury of the private pool, WIFI, and flatscreens.
