Aloha! I hope you find some of this information helpful. We were lucky enough to stay at this property for four (4) weeks. We learned a lot.
THE HOUSE:
the house is exactly as described! It is beautiful and clean. The sun sets are amazing and fun to watch. There is a pool person who comes and a gardener who comes often. There is also a house keeper, who is wonderful, who will also come if your contract includes it. I would recommend it. I would also recommend tipping her a little extra. The house is larger than you think if you are planning on cleaning it and changing sheets. Delia, the housekeeper at the time of this review, is super helpful.
A note on the screens in the house. There are lots of screens so you can fully open the doors to let the air in. Just remember they are there, especially the front door screen… Both my son and father walked through one screen (which we could fix) just because you cannot really see them and it is easy to forget they are there.
The kitchen is pretty much fully stocked with plastic glasses ( because of the pool), dished and coffee pot. We asked for coffee, milk and eggs be in fridge for when we arrived and it was. The kitchen also has lots of dried herbs and spices if you decided to do some cooking, which we did some of while here.
The house is also pretty centrally located. There is a grocery and drug store about a mile down the road that carries everything you could need to get started on your Hawaii trip. But there are other places to get supplies if you are going to be here for longer than a week. For me I have personal preferences, like new pillows and sheets, not that the sheets and pillows were particularly bad, it is just a personal preference so I bought some at Costco, which is also on the island. But on the whole the house has everything you need to get started.
Geckos/bugs
This property does not have bugs or anything that is a bother but There are geckos on the property which are not a nusance. They are quite pretty to watch and they eat the bugs that could be flying around. Please don’t try to kill them. They are beneficial to the eco system around the house.
Runners/walkers
If you happen to be a runner or a morning walker you are gonna find the route a little challenging. When you leave the gated community there is a 12% grade either coming or going. If you turn right you are going up that grade, if you turn left you will have to come up it returning to the house.
