4-bedroom house in Utopia with 450’ of private crystal clear Sabinal river front

Nestled in Utopia on 10 private acres this Spanish Hacienda style house offers a tremendous stay for guests. Float, kayak or canoe the clear cold Sabinal for over a mile thru private, quiet and serene deep water to Utopia lake or let the kids splash and play in the shallow area on the south side of the property. Large firepit, hot tub and volleyball court. 4 bedrooms including a king bed, 3 queen beds, 2 bunk beds and 2 queen sleeper sofas. The 3 full bathrooms are equipped with showers for convenience. The house has a large master with a king bed, bedroom 2 and 3 have queens and bedroom 4 has a queen and an additional 2 bunk beds with fulls on bottom and singles on top. This is a Utopian Paradise where towering cypress trees line the banks of the beautiful spring fed Sabinal River with over 450 ft of private river frontage. Enjoy fishing, swimming, and the rope swing for the kid in you. Wonderful birding area; he trees are filled with birds; Tanagers, Phoebes, Bluebirds, Purple Martins, Swallows, Hawks, Kingfishers, Barred Owl! Sit on the covered porch in the mornings enjoying your coffee seeing axis and white tail deer in addition to hearing the sounds of nature. The house is 20 minutes from Garner State Park and 15 minutes from Lost Maples Park State Natural Area. The quaint little town of Utopia is a short bike ride away and bikes are provided. The town has unique shops, restaurants, grocery store and a town square that hosts frequent events. Additionally, there’s a park with a lake for fishing and boating with plenty of picnic sites along the water. Utopia Golf course is a 9 hole course just south of town. The Robert Duval movie “7 Days In Utopia” was filmed in Utopia and included scenes shot on the golf course. The accommodations were perfect, the house was decorated with special touches both inside and outside. We thoroughly enjoyed the peace and tranquility. The stars were never brighter and saw fire-flies for the first time in years. We relaxed every evening in the hot tub listening to our favorite tunes.
Especially during this pandemic time, it was a much needed get-away! We took one day to head to Lost Maples Park for a family hike, played volleyball and went swimming.
The owners truly thought of everything, including a stocked kitchen! We hope to return next year with our family. Thanks again for a special weekend.

Thank you so much! We had the BEST time at La Hacienda. We booked the house because it was my 30th birthday + my college graduation! It was the perfect place to celebrate!
I had a surprise there too as my boyfriend proposed to me!!! We sat down by the river as the fireflies were coming out when he pulled out the ring. It was literally perfect.
Some of our friends have said that this was the best vacation they had in a long time and that we should make this a yearly celebration and we agree!

I would like to give you a big thank you for letting us go look in January before reserving it; to see how it was laid out for our Autistic granddaughter, Elena. She really loved the place and you will be happy to know La Hacienda gave her the opportunity to learn how to swim in the river. She did not want to get out of the river towards nighttime.
Us having the privacy of the property was a bonus because Elena likes to wonder throughout and she had plenty of room for that.
Now my grandson Abner (2 year old) did not want to leave this morning because he wanted to go back into the river. He had a blast and was able to enjoy the outdoors. He loves being outside, and being able to observe all the wildlife was awesome for his young eyes.
Being in the city we do not have the opportunity to see deer in our backyards in the morning, or seeing a hummingbird feed from the feeder or plants.
You gave these two (Elena and Abner) a special break in their young lives, and that is a special thank you; because you make this property available to rent. (words cannot express the happiness/smiles on their faces) I am deeply appreciative with our vacation results.
"La Hacienda" was very special to us and my son is saying he would like to make plans to return next year.
Once again thank you very much for a memorable vacation for me and my family and hopefully if we have the opportunity to pass by your place of business I will stop in to meet the person responsible for making this vacation very special for my family!
