Welcome to your year-round mountain retreat! Nestled in the heart of the Colorado Rocky Mountains, this cabin offers the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort - just a 10 minute drive from the serene waters of Twin Lakes and 20 minutes from the historic town of Leadville. A two-hour drive from Denver, the cabin is ideally located near the source of the Arkansas River, stunning lakes, peaceful fishing beaches, quaint mountain towns, and endless outdoor opportunities.

Nestled near the pristine headwaters of the Arkansas River the cabin is set on 3 private acres surrounded by pines and out of view from neighboring properties. R-Kansas Alpine reflects the unique pronunciation of the river know to all Kansans as the “R Kansas River”. This is a nod to our roots and upbringing. The open floor plan includes a loft that overlooks the main living room and provides a stunning view of the mountains. There is a fully stocked kitchen with a gas range and a dishwasher.

Stay warm with two-wood burning stoves - one in the living room and one in the Cozy Cottage. Enjoy free Starlink WiFi throughout the home.

Step outside onto the spacious porch that wraps around two sides of the cabin - starting at the front entrance and wrapping around the side for easy access directly from the living room. There is a spacious yard with a horseshoe pit and area for outdoor enjoyment. Keep an eye out for pronghorn antelope, the hummingbirds and other local wildlife that frequent the area. In the living room you’ll find a set of horseshoes to take down to the horseshoe pit and out in the 2 car garage we have a pickleball set to use.
