Escape to the Wilderness at Mt Massive Lodge
License # 2025-031
Sitting on 4 private acres, overlooking the Arkansas River Valley at the base of the highest peaks in the American Rockies sits Mt Massive Lodge. Bring your family and friends and experience the true Colorado wilderness. Whether youâre hiking, biking, fishing or rafting, this area has summer activities for everyone. Hike 14ers? Easily access Elbert, Massive, La Plata & Harvard trail heads within a short drive. Make Mt Massive Lodge your home base for adventure this summer! For relaxation, soak in one of the nearby hot springs, stargaze and take in the milky way or observe local wildlife from the expansive 2nd level deck.
Mt Massive Lodge sits adjacent to an immense and remote wilderness. Leadville is 20 miles to the north and Buena Vista is 25 miles to the south. We recommend guests purchase food and supplies on your way in as you pass through one of these communities.
Pets - We only allow dogs. Sorry no cats or exotic animals allowed. If you are bringing a dog you must disclose this prior to your visit. Pet fee is $150 (2) dogs max. Pets strictly not allowed on furniture or beds. Additional fines will be assessed for those who don't comply.
Storms/Winter Driving Conditions (Nov.-April) -
No refunds will be given for storms and/or road closures. Mountain roads are maintained and plowed but we cannot control weather related delays or road closures. We highly recommend hAWD/4WD. The final mile to Mt Massive Lodge is a gravel road that is plowed by one of the local residents when 4 or more inches of snow falls. He also plows the driveway. Plan accordingly and be sure to pay attention to the local and regional weather. We will not be held responsible for any delays, cancellations or lack of access due to road conditions and/or weather related delays. Take note of road conditions prior to traveling.
