To Whom It May Concern,It took me several days to compose this message because of how disappointing and heartbreaking our experience was at the VRBO property we rented for one night.This stay was intended to be my adult children’s Christmas gift—a rare opportunity for our entire family to spend one full night together, traveling from different locations due to work obligations. When I first walked into the house, I immediately wanted to leave. Unfortunately, after everyone had arrived, my children encouraged us to stay and try to make the best of the situation.The property was in severe disrepair and did not reflect the listing photos in any way. The following issues were present:The pool was not heated, and there was no clear disclosure that advance notice was requiredThe hot tub had visible scum; I attempted to clean it myself so my family could use itA large ashtray full of old cigarette butts was present in a “non-smoking” homeThe putting area was unusable—one hole was broken and the ping pong balls were damagedCornhole boards were broken with only two sun-rotted bags availableThe casita smelled strongly of a prior water leak, with visible water stains running down the wallDryer lint trap was completely full, indicating a lack of basic cleaning and safety checksPropane heater did not work until my husband replaced the propane tank himselfBroken outdoor chairs were covered with pool floatsOverall cleanliness and maintenance were unacceptable

Nice Chatgpt response! thank you for your feedback! We were genuinely surprised by these comments, as they directly contradict our service logs and your own statement regarding communication even with pictures taken before check in. Despite claiming we were " responsive " in your review, you also stated you " did not contact the host "during your stay. We have 24/7 support and received 0 messages or calls regarding any of these concerns. Regarding your claims our professional service logs ( with photo evidence ) confirm the hot tub was chemically balanced and cleaned prior to arrival. This is the interesting part you stated " the pool was not heated, and there was no clear disclosure that advance notice was required " AND you also stated " we were told it needed to be requested in advance to be heated " in the message you sent. This part is funny since we don't know who told you that and I can provide messages in which none will show us telling you that. See maybe if you had contacted us it would have been cleared up and we would have also figured out who told you that information. The heater button is easy to find, there is a very simple red button and the button that says "HEAT". Our maintenance team immediately inspected the home to verify and confirmed everything was in working order. We also noted that the private storage was accessed in which items were moved concluding of corn hole game you mentioned which is not intended for guest use. We have contradictory logs and phot evidence. We regret that this stay did not meet your standards and expectations. We really wish you would've contacted us since we were only a message away. Thank you and we wish you the very best!
