I appreciate your leaving a review and wish I would've known of these issues so I could have addressed them during your stay. After receiving your review, I have changed cleaners and hired a deep clean of the home to be on the safe side. I agree, the sofa cushions were not fluffy anymore and a new sofa was already in the works, which was delivered 2 days after your stay. I've had the bedding double checked but everything is only a few months old and still in great condition. During the fall season, the outside deck gets covered in leaves almost everyday so it's nearly impossible to keep up with and I apologize it wasn't up to standards. I've started discussing with my cleaners how we can do another clean before a guest check in day. We do stay very busy at The Happy Place on the different booking platforms so our garbage can gets filled up with people on vacation even though we bring it out to the curb every week. I apologize if it didn't seem like enough room to place your bags and am working with my cleaners to see what we might be able to do about this. Thank you for staying and I really do wish your family had had a wonderful stay. I have messaged you privately to get an understanding of what wasn't clean so we can improve and to also understand what you felt wasn't accurate in the listing so I can improve that as well. I always want guests to feel comfortable and supported, and I appreciate the opportunity to clarify a few points from my perspective. When you notified me about cleanliness concerns, I immediately arranged for my cleaner to return the next morning. They addressed everything that was reported at the time. I understand you were busy preparing for your event, but without photos or immediate communication, it was difficult for me to fully understand the extent of what you were describing in the moment. Regarding sending me photos, my intention was never to question you — only to understand the timeline so I could coordinate solutions as quickly as possible since I didn't hear of any problems until 11pm at night. I regret that the efforts to correct the situation didn’t meet your expectations and that it was a stressful situation for all parties involved. I value all guest feedback, even when we may see things differently, and have worked with my cleaners to figure out a solution going forward. I always will continually work to ensure the home is clean, welcoming, and accurately represented for every stay.
