We had a great stay! The house was very clean, which is something I focus heavily on. My son loved the game room! The host was very nice and the check out process was very smooth. I did not feel like I had to professionally clean the property after our stay. The instructions were simple. The house had everything we needed plus more. The location was right next to Banner Elk and nice views of the city. We didn’t have a chance to use the hot tub. Maybe next time, I would definitely recommend this property and I hope to return sometime soon.

We had a wonderful stay! The hosts were very friendly and responsive. Location is wonderful and views are excellent. The house had all we needed and more. Our kids loved the game room.

The communication was the best! Bill was constantly making sure everything was perfect for us. LOVED the location to restaurants and bars. We walked everywhere and climbed the hill back each day/night. Plenty of space and our group of ladies travel well together so the bedrooms in the basement were not an issue at all. We didn't use the kids room and two ladies shared the bath and two bedrooms. Hot tub was clean and easy to use. We would be happy to go back!

The Hosts are very attentive and will quickly respond which is awesome! Cool game room with light up air hockey, golf, and about 2 other arcade stand alone games. Everyone enjoyed themselves. The only concern is dislike is all of the stairs. There's two stairs cases inside tgar are difficult especially if you're older than about 37yo. There's two stair entrance options from outside, one of which is basic ling stairs and another that could be difficult to use. It's a quite location, nice if you want to get away for peace. There's not many things to do around town, but we enjoyed ourselves. Age range was 10 to 42 years of age. The hosts are nice and kind. There's a hot tub at the location as well.

Simply AMAZING! From check-in to check-out, easy, up-front, great communications, fantastic support, and the house was like being in our own home. Perfectly located in Banner Elk. Can walk in to town and centrally located for countless surrounding activities. Everything in this property was incredible (very clean and serviced hot tub).

The house was better than pictured! My family loved the game room and the hot tub. The beds were comfortable and the house was extremely clean. Perfect distance from the village, Beech and Sugar. All around awesome experience!

Bill and Brea were great host. They provided a lot of helpful info that made our experience so much easier to navigate. The view off of the back was fabulous. A beautiful view of a snow covered sugar Mountain The house was everything and more than we expected. All the necessities were stocked. The home was also conveniently located to the adorable town of Banner Elk.

The mountain view of Sugar Mountain and the surrounding landscape was awesome. We got 5 inches of snow while we were there and had a great time sledding down the hill. We really enjoyed walking into town. We did so once to twice a day! The stairways are narrow and steep, so as long as you are in good shape, this isn't an issue. The property has plenty of room for everyone!

It was the perfect place for our family to relax, reconnect, and make lasting memories together.The home was spacious, well-appointed, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Our favorite part of each day was waking up to the peaceful mornings. Sitting outside with a cup of coffee, taking in the quiet, and watching the beautiful family of deer visit the property became the highlight of our trip. It was such a special experience and one we’ll always remember.We also loved exploring the property and taking family photos. Every space felt warm and inviting, making it easy to slow down, enjoy one another, and simply be present.Bill was an outstanding host—friendly, responsive, and a pleasure to communicate with from beginning to end. Great Cabin!

Communication with the host was excellent. This is one of the best equipped/stocked cabins we've stayed at. We had everything we could possibly need. Cabin was very clean as well. Check out process was super easy, very hotel-like. That is a big deal these days especially when other hosts send a 3 page check-out procedure which can be stressful at the end of your trip.

Amazing Family Trip!

We recently stayed at Bill & Brea's place near downtown Banner Elk. It was a perfect spot for our two families. We were able to walk downtown, to the park and to the 4th of July Parade. Our kids loved the game room and the porch was amazing for morning coffees and a glass of wine after the kids went down. The beds were really comfortable and overall had a great stay. We would definitely stay here again, Bill & Brea were extremely responsive and really helpful throughout the stay! Thanks again

Great house

House was great. Only part that was a little odd was the downstairs as to get to 2 of the bedrooms you had to walk through another bedroom. Nothing like saying a lack of privacy for one set. My guess is they turned what was a sitting area into another bedroom and made other rooms have to go through it. Was totally adequate for us as it was all family but if you are mixed families for a trip just know it may be awkward in the bottom level.

Fantastic Find and Just as Pictured!

This house is truly just as pictured beautifully styled and updated inside and out. The layout is perfect for multiple families or friends with a full bath near all of the bedrooms and a family room that leads right into the kitchen with lots of island seating. The game room and hot tub were a huge bonus and the view from the balcony is georgeous. The location is just a couple of minutes to many restaurants and shops in Banner Elk and 15 minutes from Beech Mountain where we skied. The communication regarding the house details leading up to and during our trip were prompt and attentive. They seem to have thought of everything with a place to store skis as you walk in the house and heated mats to keep the snow and ice off the walkway. The bathrooms, kitchen and laundry room were fully stocked. This is an incredible find!

Great weekend stay for The Highland Games

We stayed here for a long weekend to attend the Grandfather Mountain Highland Games. It was an excellent location for this. The house is very well appointed, clean, and welcoming. The game room is phenomenal and adorable. Things to know: the King room downstairs is not private. You have to go through the room to get to the twin room and to the queen room. We didn't care, it worked fine for our family, but I can imagine scenarios where that would be unwelcome. Also be aware the steps to get up to the loft bedroom and the stairs to get to the basement bedrooms are narrow and steep. Again, it didn't affect us too much but it should be made aware. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Great central location and great newly redone house.
