Welcome to Mela Manor! Our 3700 sq ft home sits in the Heart of Apple Hill, the perfect place to gather friends & family for an unforgettable trip. This home comfortably sleeps 10 adults + 5 children age 5 & under. The home offers LOTS of space, a classic farmhouse vibe with all the modern amenities & pristine views.
Walking distance to the local Brewery, Apple Barn & Rainbow Orchard. 1-2 miles to Apple Mountain Golf Course, Apple Hill Farms, Wineries & Restaurants. Something to do for EVERYONE!

WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE YOU BOOK:

LOCATION: Mela Manor is located in a scenic rural neighborhood in the heart of Apple Hill, The community prides itself on serenity and nature. We hope you enjoy it too!

YOUR HOSTS: Your hosts do live on site (in separate quarters) with 2 small friendly dogs. Don’t worry, you have the whole house to yourselves, but you may see us around! You will NOT have access to the owners suite, owners driveway or garage.

USE: Mela manor is the perfect place for family gatherings, retreats or just relaxing in nature. No parties or events without prior consent. Neighborhood quiet hours 10pm to 8am are strictly enforced. You may continue your activities during these hours with doors and windows closed… I promise they can hear you lol.

THE SPACES:
Mela Manor is a 3700 sq ft 2 story home that has 5 bedrooms & 3 baths. This home offers a large main level with a variety of open spaces and a massive deck perfect for taking in the views and relaxing. Thoughtfully decorated in a classic farmhouse style with a handful of quirky retro details original to the house (we call those the conversation pieces lol).
The lower level of the home has a central heat and air system and all upstairs bedrooms have individual mini-split systems to ensure your perfect temp!

FAMILY ROOM – the largest gathering space in the house! The family room offers a 75” smart tv, wood burning fireplace, and a variety seating for 12+ guests. A cabinet full of board games ensures there’s always fun to be had.

FORMAL DINING ROOM – A farmhouse table with 8 chairs is the perfect place to share a meal. The buffet is stocked with a variety of platters and serving pieces to class it up. This room also features a formal sitting area, perfect for socializing, with seating for 5 more!

THE COFFEE BAR – Our favorite feature of the house! A custom built wet bar equipped with all the accessories to make your favorite drinks day or night. The BAR has a mini fridge, drip coffee maker, electric water kettle, coffee cups and bar glassware. We provide the coffee, tea, creamers & syrups… other beverages and alcohol are not provided. This space also has an antique farm table with 4 chairs so you can sip & enjoy the epic views.

THE KITCHEN – a classic farmhouse kitchen with everything you need to cook up some memories. The kitchen features:
• Full size fridge with ice maker and filtered water
• Electric 4 burner range
• Full size double ovens
• Pots, pans and cooking utensils
• Microwave, blender, toaster & rice cooker
• Plates, bowls, cups and flatware with service for 24
• Large platters, salad bowls & serving pieces
• Tupperware to use during your stay (please don’t take it home with you)
• Soap, dishwasher detergent & cleaning supplies
• Foil, plastic wrap, paper towels & bags

THE STAIRCASE – is another one of those quirky spaces that features a handcrafted wood banister, mirror wall and a 2 story retro chandelier (please do not allow kids to touch the chandelier). Head on up to the additional 4 bedrooms!

THE DECK – might be everyone’s favorite place to hang out! This MASSIVE open air deck features tables, chairs, umbrellas, BBQ grill and seating for 18+ people… oh yeah, and THE VIEWS!!!

OUTDOORS – the outdoors is everything here! The home is situated on 10 acres surrounded by nature. With nature comes wild things and we ask that you be aware of your surroundings at all times. Watch where you’re walking to avoid tripping on tree roots or accidentally stepping on or near wildlife. We are not responsible for any sightings or encounters with the local wildlife.

NEARBY ACTIVITIES: Mela Manor is in the heart of Apple Hill and there’s soooo much to do year round. Just google nearby hiking trails, lakes and waterways, and nearby wineries, shopping & restaurants. Something to do for EVERYONE!
• We are walking distance to Jack Russel Brewery, Larsons Apple Barn and Rainbow Orchard.
• 1-2 miles to Apple Mountain Golf Course and countless Apple Hill Farms, Wineries & Restaurants.
• 12 minutes to downtown Placerville.
• 1 hour to South Lake Tahoe or Sacramento.

CHECK-IN: In most cases you will be checked in remotely but on occasion you may be greeted by your host and given a tour if available. You will be provided with a front door code to remotely access and we will always be available for help if you need it!

CHECK-OUT: Check out is promptly at 11am! We ask that you follow the posted check-out procedures and leave yourselves enough time to complete them and exit the house by 11am. Our cleaners have permission to enter at 11:01am to begin cleaning for a same day reservation.

BASIC HOUSE RULES:
• Quiet hours enforced 10pm to 8am
• Wood burning fires are not permitted
• NO parties or events without prior permission.
• NO PETS allowed. Service animals are permitted
with prior authorization.
• NO SMOKING inside Mela Manor. Smoking is permitted outdoors only. Smoking outdoors will require that you keep all sliding doors closed as to not let ANY smoke enter the house.

• CHILDREN are welcome but please note THIS HOUSE IS NOT CHILDPROOF! Children may NOT be left unattended at Mela Manor or on its grounds at any time.

• FURNITURE is not to be moved or rearranged, please and thank you

• Please leave all rooms and common areas in the same condition you received them. Your cleaning fee is only meant to cover the changing of bedding, towels and complete disinfecting of all bathrooms and common spaces. Your cleaning fee does not cover taking out your trash, doing your dishes or returning items you used to their proper place. Excessive cleaning will be reported to for additional cleaning fees.
