Hawk Ridge Cabin combines the cozy charm of a classic A-frame with the comfort of modern amenities, offering the perfect mountain escape for families or groups. With four bedrooms and three bathrooms spread across multiple levels, there’s plenty of room to relax and unwind. The main living area features soaring vaulted ceilings, a wood-burning fireplace, and a spacious open layout that invites relaxation and connection. A fully updated kitchen, complete with butcher block countertops, stainless steel appliances, a gas range, and a farmhouse sink, makes cooking and gathering a delight.
Downstairs, a large game room and a flexible bonus space provide plenty of options for entertainment — whether you're hosting a movie night, playing board games, or enjoying some quiet time. The screened-in porch offers a peaceful place to sip your morning coffee, listen to the sounds of nature, or take in seasonal views of Penny Lake.

The Neighborhood:
Hawk Ridge Cabin is nestled within Powder Horn Mountain — a scenic, gated community spanning 1,200 acres of natural beauty. Just steps from the cabin, you’ll find Penny Lake along with access to paddleboats, fishing docks, and serene picnic spots. The community also features a clubhouse with a pool, fitness center, ping pong, and billiards, as well as a tennis court, basketball court, disc golf course, and a playground. For those seeking a deeper connection with nature, there’s a chapel, campground, and miles of hiking and walking trails to explore. With all these amenities within walking distance, you can enjoy a peaceful retreat or an adventure-filled getaway without ever leaving the neighborhood.
Getting Around:
Private driveway parking is available for 3–4 vehicles, and while Powder Horn Mountain offers plenty to explore on foot, having a car is recommended for venturing beyond the community. Hawk Ridge Cabin is conveniently located just 25 minutes from Boone, 35 minutes from Blowing Rock, and 20 minutes from the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway — making it easy to enjoy charming small-town shops, local dining, breathtaking mountain drives, and a wide range of outdoor adventures.

CELL SERVICE WARNING:
Please note that cell service becomes limited once you turn off the main road (Highway 421) onto Elk Ridge Road. This stretch lasts about 5 miles. The house has reliable Wi-Fi, but cell signal may still be spotty in some areas.
GRILL USAGE:
Please note that charcoal is not provided, but guests are welcome to bring their own.
