We had an excellent stay in this villa! The house is spacious, spotless, and very well equipped. The pool is a real highlight, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the sunshine. The neighborhood is quiet and pleasant with a direct path to the beach.The hosts were warm and attentive, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We highly recommend this place and hope to come back soon!

Lovely villa with super pool and lots of outdoor seating. Short walk to beach down a footpath, harder walk back up but very convenient. Very quiet location above bay with views of the sea and beach. Effective air con in all rooms and well appointed for catering. We had an 18 month child and had use of high chairs and travel cot. Nice covered outdoor dining area where we ate each day. Local tavernas nearby were good.

Fabulous villa lovely location and views

Everything as expected, hosts were so helpful but a car is essential to get the most of your stay. Several Tavernas within walking distance but via a steep unmade up path. Lefteris and Zois so very helpful, couldn’t do enough to assist us, a fabulous holiday, thank you!

Wonderful villa

Great stay

Wonderful holiday! Villa was spotless with all the amenities you would require. Beautiful location, it felt remote but at the same time very close to various restaurants, shops and beach. Beach can be accessed via steps from property. Beach was great, perfect for children and lots of available places to eat. Car is definitely recommended. Driving is easy and allows you to explore the beautiful island. Could not fault the hosts. Lefteris and his family were extremely helpful; informative and generous. Would definitely recommend. Lots of space in the villa so perfect for a family or two. We would definitely stay again if we return to Lefkada.

I’ve no words to describe how amazing the place was and I’ve never had such amazing hosts.The villa was perfect. Spacious, fitted with all amenities, perfect for a base to explore and for chilling at ‘home’. It’s close enough to walk* to the village for food, drinks and to swim in the sea. Yet sufficiently isolated to have a good time and not feel conscious of others. (*However, you do need to be careful on the track/road and torches are a must have at night time). We are a couple who took three teens (15, 17 & 17) and everyone was happy, able to take space when needed or, socialise and play together.The hosts were next level. Always available, responsive to help and the extra touches (which, I will leave for you to experience) were something else. I normally avoid going back somewhere when there are so many other places to visit. However, I’d definitely make an exception here and there is so much of the island we didn’t see. Lefkada, Villa Gaia and the hosts have a piece of my heart.

Fantastic stay

We have had a lovely stay at Villa Gaia.Our hosts were extremely helpful, and Lefteris assisted us with everything from airport transfers, hiring a car, and to booking a reservation at Zolithros.The villa is gorgeous, clean, spacious, and with all the amenities you need.The beach is a short walk down a path, so was easily accessible.Mikros Gialos itself is a small village, with a beautiful pebble beach and turquoise waters.Whilst we were here we had a car for two days, and made trips to Kathisma, and to Nidri waterfalls.Kathisma was sporting big waves the day we were there, so we had to be cautious, and after a short while the life guards put up the red flag. None the less, It’s a beautiful beach.Nidri waterfalls was short on water seeing as it was late in the season, but was still a nice walk.If you are keen on running (or a brisk walk), we recommend a walk/run in the early morning up to St. Nicholas church. The view is amazing!Everybody has been really friendly, and as mentioned, we really felt that Kate and Lefteris did everything they could to make our stay the best.Highly recommended!

Fabulous Villa

We had a fantastic 2 weeks with grown up family at Villa Gaia. The villa is amazing and the photos do not do it justice. Much of the furniture & kitchen units have been upgraded since the photos were taken. The villa is modern, bright & spacious with contemporary furniture & fittings throughout . Mosquito screens, electric blinds & air conditioning, beautifully comfortable beds and sheets that are changed every three days, assures a very comfortable night’s sleep! Outside area is beautiful, with very comfortable sun loungers, balconies with raftan furniture to each bedroom and a choice of seating areas around the immaculately kept pool and gardens abundant with butterflies, with views to the bay. A short, fairly steep unmade track leads to the beach (approx 4 min walk down in flipflops– longer coming back!) with a good choice of tavernas around the bay, which has an old traditional Greek feel to it. We sampled many tavernas, all excellent with very friendly staff - Zolithros & Molos were particularly good. We have rented many villas over the years and Lefteris and Zois have been exceptional hosts. Very easy to contact, incredibly helpful and generous - we could not fault them. It's very difficult to find a negative but (nothing to do with the property itself) there is a villa being built below but this does not interrupt the wonderful view to the beach just selfishly sad to not have the hillside to ourselves but it wouldn't put us off booking again.

Sehr komfortables Haus in traumhaft ruhiger Lage

Schon im Vorfeld war die Kommunikation mit Lefteris sehr freundlich, schnell und genau. Das Haus ist sehr schön und modern (gute Betten!) mit viel Platz für bis zu 6 Personen. Wir waren zu viert und unsere Kinder haben ihre Zimmer mit jeweils eigenem Bad sehr genossen. Der Pool ist sehr schön und tief genug (1.80), um sicher hinein zu springen. In der gut ausgestatteten Küche haben wir nichts vermisst. Der Garten ist so groß, dass unsere bewegungsfreudigen Kinder sich gut austoben konnten. Das besondere: Haus und Garten bieten jede Menge tolle Plätze zum Relaxen, mit wunderbaren Aussichten auf Berge und Meer. Die Ruhe empfanden wir als äußerst erholsam. Der Pfad zum Kiesstrand ist kurz, bergab geht man keine 5 Minuten. Einzige kleine Schwäche: der Fahrweg vom Ort/Strand zum Haus ist mit einem normalen Auto sehr rumpelig und kein Vergnügen.

The maintenance of the road is the responsibility of the local Municipality, and unfortunately as your stay was a little bit earlier in the season they did not have the chance to make the necessary repairs to the road yet. Perfect Hideaway

We are only a couple and already travelled a lot of times to different destinations. Most times we rent houses as we really like to be on our own. This villa is by far the best we ever rented and sooooo clean (also the fact that there is a cleaning service every 3-4 days is unusual - and a very good idea!). So after all we had perfect holidays at Villa Gaia - everything is exactly as described - even better! It´s a really great and also very quiet location, as there are no other houses around. OK - the road (gravel) is a bit tricky but you get used to it very quick ;-) Phantastic views makes you feel like paradise. We rented a scooter (Thanks to Zois for the contact!) and explored the hole island with it - so we really saw a lot - and at the end of the day we realized that "our" villa and location is really at the top end of possibilities! We also liked the nice restaurants within walking distance and the friendly people and waiters. So our advice: Don´t read longer -> BOOOOK :-) Many greetings to Kate - Lefteris and Zois for your always very quick, nice and helpful contact and giving us the chance to spent such great days in your property! Im September 2013 haben wir zum ersten Mal einen wunderschönen Familienurlaub in der Villa Gaia verbracht. Es hat uns so gut gefallen, dass wir im Juni 2014 schon wieder hier gelandet sind. Wir waren 2 Familien mit Kindern und einem Hund. Die Villa ist ein optimales Ferienziel für einen entspannten Familienurlaub. Der Garten mit Pool ist wunderschön, gepflegt und großzügig angelegt. Die Villa innen ist modern und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und verfügt über alle Annehmlichkeiten, einfach zum wohlfühlen. Auch die Lage mit dem wunderschönen Meerblick ist traumhaft. Es ist sehr ruhig, ohne direkte Nachbarn und trotzdem ist man in ein paar Gehminuten am Strand von Mikros Gialos, einem Minimarket und einigen sehr guten Tavernen. Vielen Dank auch an Kate und Lefteris für den immer sehr netten und hilfreichen Kontakt! Und natürlich an Zois, der vor Ort als Ansprechpartner immer zur Verfügung steht. Wundervoller Urlaub, ruhige Lage

Wir waren Juni 2011 für 2 Wochen zu gast in dieser wundervollen Villa. Die Lage ist sehr schön, ruhig und trotzdem fußläufig ist der Strand, kleiner Shop und verschiedene Restaurants zu erreichen. Das Haus ist sehr sauber, gut ausgestattet und hat einen tollen Ausblick auf das Meer. Der Pool ist riesig und alles wird gut und nicht störend in Schuss gehalten. Das säubern der Räume findet in Absprache mit den Mietern statt, do dass man völlig ungestört ist. Keine direkten Nachbar- herrlich! Wir würden wiederkommen und das Haus auch Freunden jederzeit empfehlen.

Staying at Viila Gaia

We recently spent a week in the beautiful island of Lefkada, staying at Villa Gaia in the south of island in small village on the coast called Mikros Gialos. The villa is amazing, pictures just don't do it justice. Very very clean and modern inside with everything you need. The villa is very well equipped. The best part is outside though. There are terraces and balconies outside every bedroom with amazing views of the mountain and beach. Pool area is immaculate and extremely comfortable. Make sure you hire a car though as the villa is quite remote and most families would want to be able to drive to explore the stunning beaches around d the island. I can't recommend Lefkada and this villa enough though. Very happy customers!! :)

The villa is superb in every way. Clean, very well equipped, spacious, elegant yet very comfortable and homely. The grounds and pool are also lovely. Villa Gaia

We have just had a fantastic week at Villa Gaia. Lefteris was super helpful, answering all our questions and recommending car hire, tavernas and boat hire for us. The location of the villa couldn't be better - a very short walk down a small path to the beach where there are plenty of fantastic tavernas for breakfast, lunch and dinner, right on the beach with breathtaking views. Quite a few little minimarkets too which makes life very easy. So much to do right on your doorstep:- hire canoes/paddle boards/motor boats. So many other little beaches and bays to visit by boat from the island. The villa itself had a beautiful pool with a fantastic view from the villa and garden. All the rooms are a good size with efficient airconditioning. All in all, a really amazing place to stay and we would all definitely love to come again and would stay here for sure! We were two adults and three children 15, 11 and 7 years.

Simply brilliant!

We had a truly fantastic week at this beautiful property. Lefteris and Kate are wonderful hosts and were just so so helpful - from booking a hire car for us to recommending one of the best meals we could have had! The house was very comfortable with everything we needed; the pool was heavenly and the location stunning. Being able to walk down a short track to the beach was also amazing - where we went paddle boarding, swimming in the crystal clear sea, and ate out at a different restaurant every night. I can't recommend this villa enough!

Beautiful spacious villa, fabulous pool & property , 150 m from beach & tavernas .

Excellent communication from Lefteris as soon as we booked . Location perfect for a beach holiday . Beautiful swimming cove . Villa Gaia is spacious , clean , 3 excellent bedrooms & bathrooms , lovely pool & garden . We will be back to this wonderful part of Greece .

Absolutely fabulous!

Villa Gaia is a delightful villa set amongst olive groves overlooking Rouda Beach. A beautiful unspoilt area. We were a family of seven with 3 children aged 10, 9 & 7. The pool was a massive hit & all of us had great fun in the pool. There were lots of outdoor seating areas in sun & shade & the garden was kept beautiful. Also a real hit was the outdoor tennis table where we also had lots of fun & competitions. Lefkada is a beautiful island & the position of the villa was perfect for us. A couple of very nice restaurants & handful of tavernas at Rouda Bay & a small but lovely quiet beach. Definitely 5 stars all round. Thank you Lefteris, Kate & Zois for all your help & assistance. We would love to return.

AMAZING

We stayed in Villa Gaia for 10 days for a nice family holiday (kids 4 and 7). This house exceeded all our expectations. It really has it all. The pictures actually don't do it justice. Every little detail is taken care of. It's is set in a very stunning private location on a hill overlooking the beach and ocean with the nearest house a couple 100 meters away. The garden is so inviting to stay in, the pool is great and there are plenty beds and chairs to relax in and patio area is fantastic for BBQs and dinners. The house is luxurious and spacey and the beds are very comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped. You could go nuts with cooking here. All is there, pots, pans, all sorts of cubs and glasses, even a complete picknick set including a coolerbag and icepacks. There are plenty of games and a table tennis table which the girls enjoyed a lot. The house is cleaned immaculately twice a week by the loveliest ladies. Kate and Lefteris are the most hospitable caring and friendly hosts. From the outset the communication was excellent. They could not have been more helpful in attending to our needs, from arranging a rental car to meeting us upon arrival late in the evening to show us around the villa and providing us with a welcome food parcel. They truly care, which really adds to the holiday experience. Thank you Lefteris and Kate for an amazing holiday. We would definitely like to come back some day! I would recomend this villa to everyone who seek a luxurious stay, a silent house among olive trees, and the sea near your stay! Thank you Lefteris and Kate for such a great villa
