Romantic oceanfront home on the bluff w/ incredible 180+ deg ocean views
Incredible views of the ocean and the lighthouse. Property line is the mean high tide mark. Located in Santa Barbara, this house is a dream with beautiful ocean side yards and gardens. The house is well designed oriented with many windows facing the ocean. The living room has vaulted ceilings made redwood. With 3 bedrooms including 2 king beds and 1 queen bed, guests will have plenty of space to relax.
Formal downtown Santa Barbara is very close by ~10 minutes. The harbor is a mile and a quarter from the home. The wharf is 2 miles away. The burgeoning "Funk Zone" is only 2 miles away, very fun.
The 2 bathrooms are equipped with amenities like a jetted bathtub and bidet for added comfort. Enjoy the peaceful surroundings and modern conveniences like WiFi and a washing machine and dryer. Experience what Santa Barbara has to offer with a stay at our terrific house.
The living room has a large fireplace to create great ambiance and warmth, it also has a log lighter to keep things simple. The 65 inch flat screen sits upon a classic 220 year old teak rice processing table. The inside dining room table is beautiful, cut from a large, old walnut tree from Northern Canada. It will seat 8 to 10 people.
It is a great property for entertainment. The home has three great decks, one cozy protected deck, under the home roof with a large gas fireplace, a bluff side deck with spectacular panoramic views and a space heater, another east facing deck has great beach views, perfect for sunrise morning yoga or just morning coffee. All have teak chairs. Very, very common to see dolphins of all types, brown pelicans with a wingspan of over 6.5 feet, and sea otters. You can see gray whales, blue whales, and humpback whales, especially during specific seasons. Minke whales and fin whales are also occasionally spotted.
There is beach access a block down the street, typically uncrowded. The property had beach access, but the costal commission refused repairs, so no longer serviceable.
The property has ample off street parking (4+ vehicles) plus available on street parking if needed.
The upper deck, under the home roof, also has a very large teak dining table with a space heater. Plus a nice gas stainless BBQ grill.
Access is via a cipher code entry lock. Free laundry access is via provided keys.
Master bedroom has a nice i-Joy massage chair with leg massage complete with beautiful ocean views. A professional massage table is available upon request.
The Jacuzzi tub in the Master Bathroom is big enough for two people with unique custom lighting.
For music in the house, there are several SONOS speakers accessible on the WIFI.
Wheel chair access to entire house, upper deck, yard and lawn. The yard has multiple levels, no wheel chair access to lower yard levels. One step up to Laundry room.
Very dog friendly. Nice lawn area. Fully fenced with 6 foot fence. Dog door for medium size dog.

I chose this location for its beautiful ocean views, great schools, safety, and great neighbors, and the best weather. The Mesa neighborhood is one of the most popular in Santa Barbara.
Santa Barbara has 300+ sunny days a year. Also, the cool ocean breeze corelates with the heat in the desert. So when it gets hot in the desert, more cool air flows in off the ocean to cool the house. Even two miles inland, it is often over ten degrees hotter than on the beach. That is why the property does not need air conditioning, except in very rare cases.
