The Good Life House(upper)@ Shawnigan Beach Resort

This unique property has all the amenities of a resort. Lake & beach with protected swim area, dock (no boat moorage) 2 minute walk from the house. Amenities include pool, tennis/pickle ball basketball courts, volleyball net, pitch and putt, frisbee golf(ALL OPEN SEASONALLY)
children's playground. Close by hiking, walking, and biking trail networks, access to the Kinsol Trestle. Walking distance to Shawnigan Lake School. Cowichan Valley is a mecca of wineries and unique dinning opportunities.

The 3 bedroom suite is the entire upper floor of a 2 story house.
A short walk (2min) across the parking lot to the waterfront. There is a small wagon available to transport water toys etc. 2 open top kayaks available *see photo. Indoor pool is next to the house and across from tennis courts, pitch and putt golfing and frisbee golf area is viewed from the upper house deck.
Only non toxic environmentally friendly laundry and cleaners are used.
MOST RESORT AMENITIES ARE AVAILABLE ONLY LATE MAY THROUGH EARLY SEPTEMBER) please enquire about availability during shoulder seasons.

You have private access to the entire 3 bedroom upper floor of the house including the deck.
Private kitchen, two 4 piece bath, living room.
Private laundry.
All Resort facilities are shared and open seasonally approximately from late May through early September) beach and beach chairs, wharf, enclosed swimming area frisbee golf, basketball, soccer, tennis, pickle ball and swim dock with slide and diving board.
2 open top kayaks are shared between The Good Life House guests only.

Good Life House is located in a quiet residential neighbourhood on the edge of a resort on the sandy beachfront shores of Shawnigan Lake.
You can expect the usual sounds of a family neighbourhood and lake life. Resort residence gather for a boot camp some mornings on the pool area grounds during the summer months. When the suite downstairs is rented there is noise transfer similar to that of an apartment or condo layout. Lake life at it's best.

There is only space for one vehicle along the side of the house any additional vehicles need to park in designated quest parking, located beside the tennis courts, next to the boat trailer storage, or on the street just outside the Resort. Please be sure to ask if you are unsure.
There is a bus stop to access bus routes to all surrounding areas and a taxi service.

When visiting the waterfront/resort areas, if asked, you are guest of Deanna's.
Rinse off your feet with the fresh water tap and/or outdoor shower before heading away from the beach area. Keeping sand out of the laundry and septic are crucial.
All garbage is to be separated and placed in appropriate garbage/recycling/compost bins located on the other side of the pool building between the pool and tennis courts.
There is high speed WiFi internet, Roku and an HDMI cord provided to connect your computer to the television. There is a Roku adaptor provided for you to stream any of the streaming services you may have a membership to. ie. Netflix, Utube etc. There is no cable television.
The indoor pool is closed from approximately September through May.
- Quiet hours between 10pm and 8am NO MUSIC, LOUD VOICES OR EXCESSIVE NOISE OF ANY KIND
This is a guideline so that all guests can expect a reasonable amount of time to sleep and rest.
**if this quiet time line does not suite your needs please do not book these accommodations. (late arrivals and early departures are of course excluded and acceptable, advance notice is appreciated) (the unavoidable noise from children is also acceptable as this is a family environment and these sounds are to be expected)

-Permission must be requested in advance for any unregistered guests.
-No smoking, vaping or use of drugs on the entire Shawnigan Beach Resort grounds.
- No shoes in house.
- Posted pool rules must be strictly adhered to.
- B.B.Q is to be left clean
-All resort shared amenities have posted rules that must be followed along with sensible courtecy to others.
- Swimming and use of waterfront at your own risk.
- No swimming under the water trampoline.
-Leave sand at the beach.

**There is a $200 replacement cost for lost pool/recreation building key.
