Welcome to Hudson Homestead: Where rural peace meets city convenience. Retreat to this private, fenced 1.5 acre oasis with NO PET RESTRICTIONS. Wake up to farm fresh eggs from our coop and a latte from our fully stocked coffee/tea bar. Drink your creation while rocking on the serene porch. Take a hike on the local trails or head to the nearby lakes for family fun. Finish your day relaxing by the firepit, grilling on the patio or taking a dip in the hot tub. We have something for EVERYONE!

You will find a plethora of well though out amenities on our gorgeous wooded property. Watch the sun set through the trees on the porch rockers, or the hot tub, or hammock or garden swing. So many areas to enjoy! Truly everything in our property is unique. From the vintage farmhouse decor (sourced at local antique stores) to the beautiful woods. No other place around allow all sorts of animals, boasts a furnished, fenced and decorated 1.5 acre wooded yard, a historic railway, multiple gardens, outdoor hangout areas, outdoor movie theater, gym, hot tub and farm fresh eggs from our very own CHICKENS. Our property is truly one-of-a-kind 'round here!

The "NO CHORE" Promise: Vacations should be about relaxing, not chores. We trust our guests to respect our property and animals.

Inclusivity: We believe in hosting your WHOLE family. Baby pack n play, safety gate, baby monitor (non-WiFi), toys and high chair on site.

NO PET RESTRICTIONS: Bring your dog, cat, bird, gecko, goat, horse, cow etc. (for any animal other than dog or cat, contact Host first for approval and accommodations. Only domestic animals allowed inside, no aggressive animals).

Events: Have your small event on our gorgeous wooded property (with prior Host approval only, fees apply). We even have an outdoor movie theater setup (projector and movable 100 inch screen) you can use for your special day!

FREE Early Check-in/Check-out: Must be requested 24hrs in advance and are not guaranteed. Subject to change based on occupancy/cleaning schedules.

Layout & Amenities

Indoor:

-First floor primary KING Suite with private bathroom.
-Second floor primary Queen Suite with private bathroom.
-Bedroom with twin over full bunk bed.
-3rd floor loft with a twin, a double and a queen bed.

*Sleep cozy and cool with luxury quality linens on all beds, mixture of quilts or cotton linens. Hybrid memory foam mattresses with plush toppers that can be removed for those who prefer firmer beds. Please care for our bedding so that we can continue to provide all guests with luxury and quality sleep.

Additional Amenities & Spaces:

-Dedicated desk with a monitor (HDMI connection). Ultra high speed wireless internet on every floor for stable connection everywhere.
-Gym room equipped with a weights machine, stair stepper, Echelon Connect Bike and yoga mat/accessories.
-Laundry area with washer & dryer (detergent & softener provided).
-Fully stocked kitchen: blender, sandwich maker, waffle maker, Instapot, air fryer, egg cooker, all utensils, pots/pans, dinner sets, mugs, pet bowls and more.
-Fully loaded Coffee, Tea and Juice bar. Test your barista skills with our espresso machine (built in grinder). Try your hand at a delicious pour-over coffee with our electric kettle and pour over set. Or just keep it simple with our one touch automated pot (with built in grinder for the freshest brew). Coffee beans, tea bags, and flavored syrups ALL INCLUDED.
-Bar cart stocked with drinking glasses, cocktail mixing set, and wine holders. (drinks not provided)
-Karaoke machine, toddler/kids toys, board games & books. 3 TVs with Roku. Living room TV includes Netflix, Hulu & Disney+, 1000 different Roku Live TV channels and an antenna with over 40 local channels.

*On the stair walls you will notice an optional hookup for a baby/pet gate, the gate will be in the 3rd floor closet if you'd like to install it during your stay for added safety.

Outdoor:

-True relaxation starts at our 2025 Aquarest hot tub and backyard oasis.
-Bring your hotdogs and marshmallows to our stone fire pit with adirondack chairs and log (from our woods) tables.
-Enjoy your meal or drink to the sound of nature and glow of fireflies on our large front porch with rocking chairs.
-Grill out in our back deck hangout area with couches, propane grill, dining set, enclosed picnic table, patio umbrellas, & zero gravity chairs.
-Fishing kayak onsite that you can take to Neuse River or Falls Lake (if you can properly transport it).

Want to REALLY enjoy the full outdoor experience? There's a tent in the 3rd floor closet for those who want to sleep under the stars in our forest.

Have your perfect photo op or take a walk through history, our back yard backs up to the historic CSX railway! Get the amazing experience of watching a train go by (usually once a day or less)

Last but not least, enjoy farm fresh eggs and the true homestead experience with our chicken coop & run, grain is available onsite for you to hand feed them if you wish. The chicken experience is completely OPTIONAL. They have automated water supply and enough feed for 7 days, their own large fenced in area, coop and run, if your pets have a prey drive please do not let the chickens out and leave them in their run.

*Aggressive animals are not permitted on the property. Hosts will tend to the chickens to replace feed every 6 days for long stays.

Most of all, we are a true family business and manage every aspect ourselves so you will always have caring Hosts at your disposal and never a disinterested 3rd party. IMPORTANT DETAILS TO NOTE:

*"With great freedom comes great responsibility." Due to the many activities we offer and the nature of this unique property, there are inherent risks associated. Guests assume all responsibility for their and their parties' actions while on property. Guests agree to use amenities responsibly and never under the influence of any substance. Guests agree to exercise caution while roaming the wooded property and uneven terrain with roots, plants and trees. Guests will exercise caution while handling any animals on property and wash their hands before and after handling chickens or their eggs. Hosts are not responsible for any injuries or other harm that may occur on the property. By booking this property, Guests assume this responsibility and agree to the aforementioned.

*There are 2 automated essential oil diffusers for a natural non-toxic hotel aroma (we use the Ritz Collection which is a blend of lemon, bergamot and jasmine). If you are sensitive to scents please let us know and we can unplug them prior to your stay.

*The property backs up to the CSX railway therefore you can expect to hear a train go by typically less than once per day.

*There are 3 outdoor cameras that overlook the chicken coop, the garden, and the front gate, there is also a bird feeder cam that activates only when birds are on it and overlooks the driveway. This is for the safety of our guests, plants and animals.

*Although we allow events, the Hudson Homestead is NOT an event venue and will not be responsible for setup, takedown or providing any additional furniture or decor for events. The event fees are for any additional guests beyond what is listed on the reservation ($250 for >10 additional guests, $500+ for >40 additional guests, contact Host with details for final pricing). This fee simply covers additional wear and tear on the property and resources and does not include any additional services. 

Disruptive events are STRICTLY prohibited, the following are grounds for immediate termination of your stay with no refund:
- Unapproved events (contact the Host if you plan on having ANY guests other than the amount stated in your booking)
- Disruptive or violent conduct (yelling, physical altercation, etc.)
- Discharging firearms
- Loud music past 10pm
- Open invitation or entry-fee events (events with no predetermined guest list that are open to anyone and/or charge an entry fee)
- Illegal substance use
- Deliberate tampering or disabling of the security system
- Using or lighting fires in unapproved areas
- Anything that would typically result in being removed from a hotel. Please respect the land, the animals and the neighbors.

-This is a wooded lot with a bustling ecosystem and there is a reasonable expectation of wildlife (including insects, deer, bunnies etc.) on the property. The inside of the home and the porches are sprayed for pests monthly. The yard does not get treated to protect our natural pollinators, insects and the chickens that eat them.

While we don't ask you to do chores, we trust that you will respect the property and natural life on it.
