This place is about location & quality. It’s at the south end of Siesta Key on what was (& will again be) Turtle Beach (note: night is dark time). You’re a ½ mile by water to Midnight Pass. Weekends get lively with crowds & music. Weekdays are quiet & perfect for kayaking around Neville Preserve. We went almost every day to see mangrove tunnels, sandbars, snorkeling, & tons of wildlife. There’s Florida limestone along the shoreline from hurricane recovery, it doesn’t block the Gulf view at all during repairs & stairways give easy ocean access. A spray-off hose at the porch door controls sand. The swimming beach is 100 yards north, and the pool is nextdoor. Out the front door (30 yards) is the intercoastal and kayak racks. (Note: corner unit door is a little hidden behind the stairwell).Inside is newly remodeled & well equipped. The kitchen has high-end gear (some still wrapped), three coffee makers, a crockpot, & a pro-grade blender for example. Beds are medium-firm and comfortable. Showers are big enough for my 6'4" wide-frame body. Furniture is comfy leather, and the Polywood outdoor setup is a nice touch, plus beach chairs, a cooler, umbrella, and sand toys. Quartz sand is ever-cool.Kayaks and paddleboards (five w/ six seats) are in great shape, and the owner even offered fishing gear. Groceries are easy—only about a mile off the island. Plan your run around beach traffic, though. We’ll definitely be back. Location plus comfort, plus well equipped earns a repeat visit.
