WELCOME to Historic Potter Highlands - One of Denver's oldest neighborhoods. This quaint Artistâs retreat has custom touches and creative artwork throughout. This option includes 2 Units, plus the additional garage level 1/2 bath and laundry room. This exceptionally large inner-city property is located just outside lower downtown Denver (LODO).
1st space ~ GUEST HOUSE: 2nd story walk up. Custom new-build, 1000 square foot home, 2 bedrooms, plus a sleeper sofa in the living room, vaulted ceilings, custom lighting, gas fireplace, hardwood floors, period millwork, well-equipped kitchen The large marble 4-piece bath offers a clawfoot tub and marble shower. Each bedroom has a queen bed, and a twin bed for additional guests, room darkening blinds, and individually operated AC/heat. The living room has a very comfortable queen-size memory foam sleeper sofa and a gas stove/fireplace. This property can comfortably fit eight people. However, the two twin beds in each bedroom may limit privacy.
2nd space ~ ARTIST STUDIO: unit - has an open concept; artist space, a great room (LR and kitchenette) in one space, a separate bedroom, and 3/4 travertine shower, tiled bathroom. A/C and heat with separate service to each room, a gas stove, and an outdoor covered patio. Perfect for 1-3 guests, the bedroom has a plush queen bed and a double sleeper futon. The futon is on the small side and can sleep two additional small guests, or one adult. This working artist studio is well-appointed and comfortable, small teak table, a large American Leather Studio down-filled sofa and chair, period millwork, and six skylights for natural light. Room darkening shades in the bedroom for comfortable sleeping. You may see paint splatter on the floors (working studio), but they have been swept and mopped clean. Some paint stains cannot be removed, but that does not mean it is not a clean space.
OUTDOORS/MASSIVE YARD with luxurious flower gardens (summertime), a lovely copper gazebo, and a large fully fenced grass yard for stargazing, sunbathing, an outdoor deck, and BBQ grilling. Copper gutters, wood clapboard, and custom diamond roofing shingles complete the Victorian cottage feel. There is a fire pit for enjoying cool nights outside.
The yard is fully fenced and I allow pets in the art studio only. Pet fees are $25 per pet, per night, and you must pick up after your pet as they go as the yard is a shared space (with the owner - no other pets live on the property). Dog-friendly Yard - Pets allowed - see house rules for fees. There may be general gardening or mowing going on during your stay.
Please be aware some of the artwork includes tasteful nudes. If you do not want the nudes in the studio please give advance notice and Iâll cover or remove them from the studio during your stay. All art materials are removed/put away during your stay.
Location: very close to LODO and downtown Denver. Easy walking urban neighborhood with access to restaurants, bars, coffee houses, food delivery, ride shares and public transportation, museums, and theatres.
