The conflict arose from an unexpected glitch in the syncing between the Vrbo and Airbnb calendars, which caused the overlap. As soon as I realized the issue, it was incredibly important to me to handle it fairly and respectfully for both you and the Airbnb guest. I offered both parties a penalty-free cancellation along with $200 from my personal funds. Thankfully, the Airbnb guest accepted, which allowed me to move forward in giving you the best stay possible. This is actually my very first less-than-5-star rating in three years, and while it stings, it’s also a powerful lesson for me in hospitality and how even small hiccups can impact a guest’s experience.
