We’re truly sorry to hear that parts of your experience fell short of expectations, especially regarding the odor you mentioned. We completely understand how disappointing that must have felt after planning your visit for Parents Weekend — we want every guest to feel comfortable and at ease the moment they arrive. That said, we do want to clarify that following your report, our team promptly investigated the concern. The property was inspected immediately after your checkout, and no unusual odors, residue, or evidence of smoking were found. This was also verified by our professional cleaning team who prepared the home prior to your arrival. We take all smoking violations seriously and would never overlook such an issue, as our properties are strictly non-smoking and routinely checked after every stay. While we regret that the scent you experienced affected your impression of the home, our findings did not support any prior smoking activity. Please know we genuinely tried to resolve this by offering support during your stay and reviewing your refund request thoroughly, but without verifiable evidence, we could not proceed under platform policy. We value your feedback, as it helps us strengthen our inspection and quality control processes even further. Our goal is always to provide clean, comfortable, and welcoming stays for all our guests — and we’re sorry to hear we missed the mark for you this time.

Thank you for sharing such thoughtful feedback. It’s great to hear you enjoyed the two-bedroom cottage, especially the adjustable Serta bed, spacious yard, and pet-friendly setup—it’s wonderful that your fur baby was able to enjoy the space comfortably as well. We’re glad the home and our communication met your expectations, and we’d be happy to host you again anytime.

Thank you for staying with us! We hope you had a great experience and enjoyed your time at the property. We’d love to welcome you back anytime.
