Thanks for staying at our place and appreciating the view from our house and neighborhood. Very surprised by the comment on communication as we offered to fix all these issues and went above and beyond to ensure the guest received the preferred resolution outcome despite them constantly trying to escalate this issue 3x times and making bad assumptions about our intent. We will also not mention anything here about the guest's non compliance of our house rules. The photo of the deck showing outdoor furniture was only shared with us post- stay and we wished to have been able to inform them about the remaining furniture that was advertised because it was stored away for the winter in the garage. The stay was in early April when temperatures and winds are still unideal for outdoor seating as can be seen from the tree in the background so we only bring out the rest of the furniture closer to May. Each guest's experience is important to us so we make sure our listing advertises all amenities as is, so guests like yourself can make an informed decision before booking. All kitchen amenities that are being shown here are completely optional for use and we offer it as an additional benefit, not a necessity. While we strive to receive feedback that can enhance the experience of our guests, uploading these photos really hurt us and only show one side of the story. Thanks again for staying!

Your experience is important to us so we make sure our listing advertises sleeping amenities as is, so guests like yourself can make an informed decision before booking. However, most of these were easy fixes and we wish the guest informed us about this instead of assuming the experience couldn't be improved during the stay. There are two inflatable beds (one as backup) and plenty of bedsheets (that could have been arranged overnight) for the guest to use once notified. There wasn't a single message sent about this and we are only reading this now! We hope to be given another chance to host you/family and expect transparent communication to help our guests enjoy the house. Thanks again for staying!

Thanks for staying at our place and appreciating the view from our house. Very surprised by the comments made on the experience as we had no idea on the expectations ahead of the visit, neither during the stay. The response we got during a customary check-in message while staying was "Everything is fine, thank you.  We are comfortable in your lovely house, and very much enjoying the deck and the views from there" How do we assume based on this that the guest is having a sub-par experience?! Additionally the guest booked the stay only for 4 adults, but the review indicates otherwise. If we knew that the guest prefers an interactive neighborhood and lived-in furniture we would have advised them of the same. But more importantly, would have offered solutions during the stay! Each guest's experience from around the world is important to us so we make sure our listing with photos advertises all amenities as is, so guests like yourself can make an informed decision before booking. But we also understand that expectations can vary person to person. So we implore future guests to please ask clarifying questions about photos and any particular expectations so you are not left disappointed because we love to go above and beyond for our guests. For ex. All kitchen amenities that are being shown here are completely optional for use and we offer it as an additional benefit, not a necessity. While we strive to receive feedback that can enhance the experience of our guests, such comments post stay really hurt us because we don't have the opportunity to fix or improve anything later.
